Very easy to book vehicle, i will say though it took almost 6 days for a response via email when i put in an enquiry in to ask a question.

This company doesn't look into who they are working with buyer beware.
This is my review from the company (Tasmania campers) that they connected me with:
RUN AWAY WHILE YOU CAN!
Hi it's me again, jsut posting twice to save others.
This place has no regard for safety and sent me on the road with bald tires and the spare was bald, worn, and cracked.
My first camper leaked and the owner said, "It's designed that way" The seal failed on the top of the vent and with one quick look it was obvious to me. I guess he's never seen how a maintained camper should look. I've lived in my camper full time for 6 years and have rebuilt them from the frame.
So when I finally got switched to a different camper as I was continuously sleeping in a puddle, the second one had tires from 2017! They were cracked, bald and it wasn't just one it was ALL 4 TIRES. I got a whole day and a half wasted of my trip due to these tires all getting replaced by a shop. They recommend changing tires 6-10 years, and that's if they are stored inside, not getting weather cracks and not already bald.
Seriously, this is the type of issue that kills people. An old camper rolling down a narrow road and you have a tire or 4 blow out. It's horrendously irresponsible and should be taken very seriously. When I brought up this horrific risk that they are putting their passengers at they blamed their maintenance guy.
Oh and I am a commercial driver.
I will say as a positive their manager is an absolutely amazing guy and should be working somewhere better. If anyone needs a stellar employee, you should go steal him.

the prices advertised were a gross exaggeration of the real price. Getting a quote was difficult and took 2 days.

I have spent 4 weeks, over 30 phone calls to Campstar, trying to get a refund due to my case. We had our caravan booked for 6 weeks, we picked it up on the 2nd and only had it for 4 days as we found out my girlfriend had been diagnosed with cancer for the 2nd time- so she has had to return to the UK. The service I have received is the worst I have ever had, the amount of excuses and little help I received, rudeness of staff I find absolutely shocking. The total amount we paid for the caravan was $8361 and that was for 39 days. If u do the math 8361 divided by 39= 214. 214 X4 days we had it = $857. 8361-857=$7,164,520. This was what was agreed over the phone with mighty campers who after 1 phone helped me- after I was instructed to not contact them and Campstar would do it- again complete bullshit. Instead I received $6540. Which does not make sense, either Campstar are bullshitting me yet again, or staff members lack the ability of subtract.
They do not care about your well being, it’s all just about money to them. Avoid!

The van provided included a toilet & shower but this meant there was no room to actually sit in the van. The 2 front seats didn't rotate the extra seat behind driver was useless.A very unpleasant 5 days and at considerable cost.

Really challenging to book a campervan through this website. The staff in the call centre are helpful but we keep being told if the vans are showing as available then they are available. Yet when we try to book one we keep getting error messages saying they are unavailable to book. We have checked with the bank our end and everything has been verified from the payment point of view, so then Campstar say it must be the supplier and the van must be unavailable. So then we asked well can you tell us which vans are available and we are told if they are showing up then they are available! So clearly there is a glitch in the system somewhere and the availabilities are not being updated. This makes the site completely useless!
Review edited: Campstar did get back to us pretty promptly after the review and another phone call with a more helpful member of staff (Michelle) going away to actually look into the problem and coming back to let us know that it was a system glitch caused by one of the optional extras we were adding rather than the booking itself, the campervan availability or an issue with our payment. To book we just had to remove one of these extras (the excess waiver) and then would have been able to add it later after booking. It is just a shame the first two operators we spoke to did not appear a little bit more proactive. We booked through another site not because we were impatient but simply because up until Michelle got in touch we were left with the impression that there was nothing the Campstar staff could do to help us any further with our booking.
