Pro: I've always ultimately been able to find available local nannies with the qualifications I'm seeking on this platform, whether I've been living in an urban or rural area at the time. But it takes lot of persistence and effort.

Cons: the vast majority of nanny profiles are either unresponsive, or have not been updated in a very long time, so the info in them is no longer valid.

Have to sift through a ton of requests from nannies who do not meet the criteria listed in the job description, but try to talk you into hiring them anyway.

Also contacted by a large number of scammers, and (also?) nannies from other countries looking for a path to citizenship but without any of the requisite qualifications. Their stories are very sad, and they beg and plead with you to help them escape the situation they are living in in their home country. There is a lot of that. I don't know whether they are actual people or scammers.

Look up, as a location, "Pinehouse, Saskatchewan", where a small town with a population of 1,000 people somehow has over 4,000 nannies seeking a job.

Had five times as many responses to my posting as to another site that I posted to. Communication though the message board was easy. I liked the phone contact line. Filter for type nannies could be better and could be better sending recommendation that met your filter choices.

Found an excellent nanny thru this app.

The guides were very helpful for a first time employer. Having a community of nanny and employer was very good. I didn’t have to filter through people that were not nannies. Candidates were all very qualified.only reason this is not a 5/5 is because it was challenging making sure I was finding people close by.

Less than a 1 star if I could, they promote a background check, and charge you for the request even if the background check is not done or the candidat does not provide any information. They refused to provide a refund even though no check will be completed.

The customer service was good, but I’ve had awful experience with the nannies

The website used to be much more user friendly. I found most applicants did not ready my job description, the just blindly applied.

I believe that this site is a fake as no one, I mean NO ONE replies to any of my messages but they were on when I messaged them. This site is ridiculous. I litterely have everything that is needed for a nanny. It's sad! Please do better with this site.

Unfortunately, Most families take advantage of the " Nanny" they hire. This role is the most and should be the most important role that a family give to someone, taking care of their precious ones. Children are the most precious things people have and yet we take care of them with our whole heart and with maximum care and compassion while we get paid way lower than what we deserve. I wished Canadian Nanny could determine a chart for our wage. For example how much for each child and how much for what type of care and services. There is no such thing as a light housekeeping. this is a joke. Especially for some of us as senior perfectionist Nannies, we clean like a professionals, way even better than them,top to bottom, we deal with children, taking care of them cook, feeding, dealing with tantrum, piles and piles and piles of laundry and yet when it comes to payment, they pay us the minimum wage and their excuse is that we are only Nannies while we are their personal cleaner, cook, recycle bin sorter, we do laundry, we cook, we feed the animals, we transport children, we deal with mental health issues in some children....All of that for minimum wage??? some families here have mentioned 17$ an hour, which is lower than lower wage in Canada. Most these families are working professionals like doctors. So at the end, this role is not a Nanny role, is a Slavery and I hope Canadian Nanny can come up with an idea to protect our rights.

Terrible review system for employers. Unable to know who the reviews came from which is very problematic, and furthermore unreasonable to receive a review after exchanging a few words with a complete stranger. Reviews should be from real employees and not from unidentifiable, prospective employees with whom you may have exchanged less than a handful of messages and happen to be disgruntled. This affects the employer's image for prospective employees. There is no regulation on reviews or ability to report them. Really unfortunate and moving forward may not be using your website again.

Feb 19/25 Update in response to Canadian Nanny's comment on my review:
Canadian Nanny was contacted several times in regard to my review concern and the company was unable to help. They clearly stated that they do not have the ability to know which users leave reviews and they have no ability to delete reviews. Therefore, their response to my review is completely inaccurate and misleading.
Here's the transcript of the latest email I received from them:
"My name is Jessica, and I am the manager of the Care Support team.

I have looped in our IT team and confirmed that we cannot remove reviews as we cannot isolate who reviewed whom. Our system was created to let folks leave honest reviews on other individuals.

I am happy to provide your feedback to our IT team to see if there will be room for further iterations on our review systems, but as of now, this is how the system functions. I thank you for understanding."

The whole process was intuitive and relatively easy to get through. Helpful and Effective organization

Found a nanny for my daughter in 2 days! Was able to connect with a variety of candidates fast and easy through profile viewing and direct messages. I settled on someone who I trust and am excited to work with :)
