I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with CardCash.com.
I intended to purchase $50 electronic gift cards for use at Sam’s Club, but instead received membership activation codes. The listing was misleading and made it appear that I was buying standard gift cards. These activation codes are not gift cards and cannot be used as store credit.
I already have a Sam’s Club membership and have not used any of the codes. When I contacted customer service to request a refund, the response was unhelpful and the issue was not properly resolved.
Buyers should be very careful when purchasing from this website. Product descriptions may be confusing or misleading, and resolving problems with customer service can be difficult.

Worked once than, not so much
I’ve used it successfully in the past it seemed to be legit. I received 2 $100 gift cards from Dicks Sporting Goods for Christmas 2025. I went to sell them again but this time I had to mail the actual cards to them. I had already checked the balance on Dicks website. I trusted them and mailed them. Then I received an email they couldn’t verify the balance and they both were $0. I asked them to mail them back to me, which they did. Except now when I checked the balance was $0. Idk what happened during the mailing process besides losing $200. 🤷
I’m willing to try again, but never if you have to mail them the cards.

This isnt paid
This isnt paid, i'm purposely writing this review bc i was hesitant about all the bad ones.
started off with a 20 gc to meijer, because i never go there and ive had that for 5 years now and it was accepted and i received a virtual gc within 15 min. I then did it with 3 others (2 from target, 1 from express), and as of writing this, nearly 8 minutes from getting the acceptance letter for all of them, i've received the two target ones i've sold. even if it doesnt come through, 3/4 is more than 0/1 which is what i was expecting.

Most Efficient Place for eGift Cards - Especially Amazon
I had a bunch of mastercard online giftcards only and I needed to get rid of it to be able to get amazon balance reloaded. Card Cash was the best pace for this. I was able to reload through my eGiftCards on paypal and I even got the $100 eGift Cards for $99.50 through Card Cash
Since each card has $100 on it and I wanted to max out the Benefits, I decided to pay with split payments options and I was able to max out the 1st card and then $99 from the second card and so forth.
The Egift Cards arrived Instantly, and they worked right away.

Tough experience with this company
Tough experience with this company. I signed up to have my card cashed out. Process was easy online. Signed up with my bank account for funds to be deposited. They promised a certain payout. I sent in my card. I was then informed that they would not pay the amount and if I wanted to, I could wait for a buyer. I asked for my card back.
Despite more than 5 emails, and 6 phone calls over 3 weeks, no response. They always told me that they're working on returning my card, but no tracking, no emails returned. Multiple phone calls go unanswered or get cut off. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU AVOID IF YOU HAVE A HIGH-VALUE CARD THAT YOU WANT TO SELL.

Great experience
I had some doubts about using card cash but I had a great experience. I was very skeptical and did some research and looked up the reviews on here, saw a lot of mixed reviews but I chose to sell my gift card anyway. So the process was fairly easy, entered some personal information, picked paypal as the payment method, had to pay a $1 deposit to send the order and then just waited for them to review it. I thought it was going to take 1-3 days like it says on the website but to my surprise I ended up receiving my payment a couple of hours later. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to sell their gift card on card cash, only thing that caught me off guard was the part where I had to verify the phone number in order to send the order, it showed me the phone numbers of some relatives, which I don't know how they got those.

A Mixed Bag At Best
I need to walk you through the story for you to understand what the experience was like. I found myself needing cash to pay a bill. Realized I could still claim a gift card from a giveaway. So, I picked a store I wouldn't use & went through the process of selling it. When I finally got the info to go through, it wanted my phone number for confirmation, but in the most bizarre way: For me to select it from a dropdown menu. Well, it wasn't on there, so they "couldn't process it," & I had to get help from the support.
It's been like a week at this point, but they finally SEEM to resolve the issue, only when I got my "payment," it wasn't exactly what I thought it was. Since I couldn't get the numbers for a deposit, & I didn't think I had time to get a check mailed, I went with the "prepaid mastercard" option. Nowhere on the site do they fully explain what this is, but they heavily imply it's simply an alternate form of monetary payment. Only after you activate it, & they conveniently "can't revoke it," do you find out it's only eligible to be used on online sales.
Now there's only ONE reason this is 2 stars instead of 1 after ALL that is I WAS able to use it to successfully pay my bill on the company's website, but that wasn't even CardCash's idea. I had to scrounge around & find some random guy on Reddit who suggested that to someone else way back when. Even though I DID call their customer support, because I was running out of time to jump through hoops, they just gave me the "is there anything else I can help you with" routine before finally hanging up on me, & when I tracked them down on Facebook to send them a message & told them about this, once they learned what the problem was, they completely ghosted me. I told each team I communicated with exactly how unsatisfied I was. It was ridiculous.
So, the good: I did technically, in the end, more-or-less get the "money" for what I needed.
The bad: It was ridiculously inefficient, & if 1 thing was slightly different, say if that company didn't allow payments online, I would've been hosed because they steer you to a payment option I find they clearly intentionally misrepresent.
The ugly: If I ever find myself having to sell a gift card again, I truly don't know if the devil I know is better than the ones I don't. I don't technically know for sure if it would've gone smoother even if I had done one of the other payment options. And for all I know, this could've been way simpler had I picked one of CardCash's competitors. All I know for sure is, even though this technically worked out in the end, it isn't an experience I wish to repeat.
Edit: In case you're wondering, no, the reply does not change my view. I think they should spend less time watching reviews like hawks to make damage control replies & more on fixing problems in the first place. The things I brought up are not difficult to solve if you actually want to. Yeah, okay, you want a phone number for verification, do you know how literally every other website handles that? You just type it in. What is this unhinged dropdown menu nonsense? An explanation of what the cards actually are, & what limits they have, could be included when the person is picking payment options, or on the FAQ, or literally any time before the activation, when it's conveniently too late to say "wait, I changed my mind, that's not what I thought I was getting."

My continuing saga with Cardcash!!!
I would like to discuss my continuing saga about Cardcash. I bought Peets gift cards from Card cash that did not work on Peets site. I emailed 3 times and called them once to report this. I finally called Peets to find out why. They told me that the cards are such an old format that they could not be used on the site but they could enter them manually. They also stated the cards I bought were 19 to 21 years old! Cardcash should have known this to save me a lot of frustration, Peets is great, Cardcash just does not care, caviat emptor!

Shady business practices
I wanted to sell a $25 Starbucks gift card. They wanted me to verify my identity, took $1 from my bank account, and attempted to take an additional dollar after that. Then the website said the transaction didn't go through, and I needed to provide a credit card. Mind you, I had already provided the gift card number, and at this point, I was really annoyed because there is no feature for a chat with customer service. I provided a credit card number only because it had a balance of a couple of dollars (I plan to replace this card), only to be told I needed to further verify my identity by providing the correct phone number from a list of numbers I either did not recognize or no longer had access to. (I have a valid AT&T account, and my real number was not listed.) I was unable to receive the code because they did not have my correct phone number. Needless to say, I cancelled the sale. They cannot be trusted. Companies with practices like this are shady and often take advantage of people.

traded in a $100 apple gift card and received an $80 ebay gift card in about 30 mins to an hour that worked perfectly! definitely would use this service again in the future with their extremely fast trade ins and pretty decent trade in value.

Declined reimbursement and lost my card!
Jan 3rd: Gift card info and physical card was provided to card cash. Once they received both, they declined the card despite it being a legit, active gift card and them having the info before agreeing to buy it. They shipped the card back to me but the package was ripped open when it arrived at my residence in a USPS 'sorry we damaged your package' clear bag. Company is NOT being cooperative and won't provide me reimbursement for the card they insufficiently packaged and sent back to me. I now have no gift card payment and no original gift card. Unreal.
Update Jan 4th: card cash reached out after my review to tell me it was NOT their fault the package was damaged. They approved the gift card transaction and told me to send it to them, i sent it to them, they received it, they then declined it for 'unknown reasons', and they couldnt return it to me. They are not taking responsibility for the sale process or their inadequate packaging to protect the gift card. They are internally reviewing it but they fact they were defensive and didn't resolve the issue (or really care until i posted a public review) is disappointing.
Update Jan 8th. Card Cash has closed my case stating they've performed a payout (in email) but no payout has been received after three days and they're no longer responding to my emails.
Update Jan 11th: Still no payout. Vendor has stopped responding to my messages about not being paid (via paypal which should be near-instant).

Gift Card Sale Declined Unfairly
A card can be declined for an incorrect issue on their end, and nothing is done about it. In fact, that card which is perfectly legitimate will be forever declined. A crappy way to do business. A good business would work with the person to resolve why it was unfairly rejected and get it accepted when everything finally checks out. Will be deleting my account and recommending people do not use this service which is a joke.

Great site for selling and buying gift cards
I've been using CardCash for ~1 year as both a seller and buyer.
For selling, they reviewed and paid my submitted gift cards in about 2 business days which seems extremely fast. The few times there were issues, the support team resolved in <1 day.
For buying, cards arrived instantly so it allows me to wait until the last minute to order the ideal amount.
The high number of 1 star reviews is surprising. Gift cards typically experience a lot of fraud so I think it's great that CardCash takes a conservative approach to protect its users. I do remember having to go through additional checks early on and it's been smooth sailing since.
