Get sena instead of this awful and poor cardo system

I have tried Atleast 10x times to make “hey cardo”work, but it doesn’t work. Tried all the measures available on internet or in the user guide but it still wont work. Apparently if you search online for it there are lots of forums having the same problem in the freecom 4x.
Shame that after spending 500 Aud. This feature is still missing.
Definitely sena next time or Infact it would have been better this time only since sena systems are much more solid and price effective.
Cardo is poor and awful

I appreciate how prompt Cardo has been…

I appreciate how prompt Cardo has been shipping my orders as well as the product itself being very user friendly with next to no issues connecting each time they’re turned on. I’m an Arborist so I use them the arborist helmets we have so the team is in communication and they work perfectly.

The entire system was easy to set up

The entire system was easy to set up. I was putting off setting up my helmets but when I finally got around to doing it, things just worked. There was no fussing around pairing units, they just worked. Now, I have a simple setup, just two, one for me and one for my daughter when we go snowmobiling, so it isn't multiple groups or anything like that. I was worried that there would be a quirk or two to work around when riding but there wasn't, they just worked. All we did was turn them on and adjust the volume.

It's just simply amazing!

They're just amazing. The quality it's beyond good, the sound quality is outstanding. No matter how loud the bike is you can hear it, my bikes like deafening and I can hear everything just fine. The mic quality is also amazing it gets every sound you want it to. Instant Bluetooth connection when it's turned on. Incredible product and worth every penny!

I purchased 2 freecom 4x duo sets and…

I purchased 2 freecom 4x duo sets and am still having a very hard time getting them to work as a 4 way intercom set. The instructions are less than helpful. Very disappointed in the ease of use as a 4 way intercom set

I bought neo duo

I bought neo duo. I was disappointed that it does not bring all the equipment for two helmets. You need to purchase a second helmet equipment. If you advertise this for two people or helmets it should bring all the equipment for the two helmets. The rest is great.

It’s nice for snowboarding at the…

It’s nice for snowboarding at the mountain! It has difficulty understanding my girlfriend’s Spanish accent when she says “Hey cardo” etc. Battery life is decent but definitely start the day with a full charge! A nice feature would be if the voice recognition was specific to the individual wearer, similar to siri on the iphone, right now the cardo will pick up the commands of other people nar by. Another nice feature would be if the Cardo could sense the proximity of the other people and if they are close, it doesn’t need to transmit their voice because you can already hear them. Sometimes we have to use the buttons if the voice commands aren’t responding, and then it’s difficult when you’re wearing gloves to hit the right button.

Very pleased

From ordering, shipping, recieving, installation, and use...I am highly impressed with this unit. Easy to use and great sound. I have not got to use the intercom yet as it is early in the season and haven't been out with my buddies yet. Initial review is excellent.

I got a faulty product

I’ll be riding alone, connected, listening to music and the radio will randomly turn on without anything being touched.

I’ll be riding with my partner and when we are connected we can speak and listen to music , but as soon as our friend connects , they can listen to music and talk but I disconnect from the cardo app and cannot listen to music

It honestly looks like I got a dud

Better then Sena, but…

I like my Cardo Edge. It’s easier to set up and use then Sena, and it will allow the use of Siri voice commands. However it is limited with its Bluetooth connectivity. I can only use Siri voice commands if I only pair the headset to the iPhone. Even though Cardo Edge has a dedicated bike and GPS channels. If I try and pair the headset to the Garmin and or my 23 GS TFT, I lose the ability to use voice calls with Siri and also listen to music. I’ve contacted Cardo and did not get an acceptable solution. I’ve tried dozens of possible paring configurations. In the end it comes down to the simplest pairing of headset to iPhone.

Also the speaker volume is low. I checked to make sure the audio was NOT on auto volume. The loudness with No Noise earplugs is just low.

Over all I still believe it to be a superior system over the alternative.

I have yet to test the mess intercom.

perfect replacement for Cardo Packtalk Black/Bold

I purchased a replacement mounting base, which provides a docking cradle for the cardo unit and also the audio connections to the helmet mic and speakers. My original baseplate developed problems in the speaker wiring connection, and this replacement part was just what was needed to fix my issues. This was at a very economical price when I ordered it, as compaerd to the 2nd Helmet Kit that I was considering before learning this item was available. Great product, and I am happy with my order. Highly recommended!

No Help from Carlo’s ( so called ) Service Center

Purchased a Packtalk Neo but it didn’t come with the manual as stated in the included items list but instead had 2 copies of their pocket guide. The pocket guide is useful but only when your system is already operating but no information on charging requirements, explanation of different colored lights meeting…… Plus I travel often to areas where I have no cell service so a printed manual works best for me.
Went on their website “Service issues” completed there form 5 times over the past couple weeks and still haven’t gotten any response. Called their customer service 800-488-0363 number but it’s not working. Found their non 800 # (412) 788-4533 called it and waited for 52 minutes and explained the situation and was told to find the manual on line and go to a print store to have a copy of it made myself as they don’t have any.
Now I’m worried if I really have an issue with my Cardo unit if their attention to my issue will be addressed in the same caviller way by their Disconnected number, No Reply Service website and Last thing I want to do today is be helpful employees.
I’m going back to buying Sena units from now on!

Lacking customer engagement

Well, I tried to get more info from Cardo prior to purchasing. Followed on Facebook, private messaged, and public posted as well. Crickets from Cardo, did not get any response. Called several "resellers" in my area found via Cardo website and did not find any dealers of Cardo devices that could answer my question. Customer support from Cardo seems to be lacking, not sure I will recommend Cardo to my friends/family.
