Change of vehicle sharp practice.
Change of vehicle sharp practice.
Phoned yesterday to advise Halifax that we were replacing our old hyundai i10 with a new hyundai i10.
The new car was already documented on the dvla system.
They refused to accept a change of vehicle on the existing policy which had over 2 months remaining.
The only option offered was a cancellation with a loss of the outstanding premium and a new quote - which was not competitive.
I just knew that I was being scammed!!
I went elsewhere.
This company are not to be trusted
This company are not to be trusted
They take payments and thrn chase you for them a month later and state its your fault thrre systems crashed
They have a lack of customer experience and are very incompetent at there job
After a RTA which was the other parties…
After a RTA which was the other parties fault and witnessed independently I am still waiting for any form of compensation they use a form called Minster Law who are totally incompetent and cause more stress in an already stressful situation
I have switched insurance companies because of this they also increased my policy after having wrong details put down!
Avoid this company as this has actually cost me money rather than be compensated due to a car accident that was totally not my fault
Spoken to lewis about my car insurance…
Spoken to lewis about my car insurance the phone call went straight away very helpful and he has got a good customer services and very polite well done thank you 🙂
Beware credit hire car hire
After a no fault accident I informed halifax of the details they said I would be helped to sort my claim with their trusted partners who would repair my car and another company would provide me with a hire car until mine was repaired as I was insured to get a car in the event of mine needed to be off the road this all. Sounded okay not told I could be responsible for the bill,14 months later hundreds of legal letters a court appearance giving evidence of my financial affairs finally getting the at fault co to pay what they owed .never heard from Halifax in all the 14 months I worried about the outcome of the court case, and was told by a legal Eagle that halifax encourage you to go with their trusted partners because it saves them the cost of paying for a curtesy car and no one should accept a hire car when their insurance covers them for a curtesy car.you could end up paying hundreds of pounds so beware of halifax insurance .been with halifax bank for years cant understand why they let the insurance side of their buisness ruin their reputation. ps when my cover needed renewing they doubled the cost of my insurance ,no lm not with them anymore
What an appalling company
What an appalling company. My partner called a few months ago to change address and was charged £25 "admin fees". Not uncommon but still. This week, she called to cancel insurance as she had sold the car. No refund offered on the remaining time but told a charge of £54.89 was due for "admin fees". She told them to forget it and let the insurance expire but they would not allow that as it was "illegal to have two policies on the same vehicle". How could a claim be made when she no longer owned it? TWO days later she receives a threatening letter demanding immediate payment, else a debt recovery company would be enlisted. Charming customer service. I'm sure their shareholders are happy though.
The Halifax just gets worse and worse…
The Halifax just gets worse and worse it's beyond belief......so much of a mess I am leaving ....and still the mess continues to go on......cannot access my accounts and over an hours waiting time on phones....phone app is unusable and despite them telling they are sending a tex.....it could take 7 days to come....is this the state of Halifax banking now ???? it just makes you wonder how they keep any customers at all...I am just so totally sick of the Halifax I will be glad when it's all gone.......NEVER AGAIN
Forget the credit card
After years of being a Halifax Clarity Card holder I am now cancelling everything. The reason being. If your credit card doesn't work abroad you need to talk to someone about the issue. When the queue times are 40 minutes that's a joke. The only option CANCEL and go with another provider. I have managed to do this review while still on hold to Halifax. Shame on you. PS Don't blame COVID that is no longer an acceptable excuse.
I am a Halifax customer of over 25…
I am a Halifax customer of over 25 years - Bought Car Insurance through Halifax as I trust Halifax. I Could've paid less elsewhere. Emailed at renewal to cancel it on 03rd Jan 2022. The Insurance company are chasing me for payment. Advised I replied to their email to cancel it ages ago. There was nothing to state that they would not accept cancellation by email. The letter did not state anywhere that I had to call them to cancel, or that I could not reply to their email. I have the email trail. raised a complaint with Halifax - my policy number is 13304673403. Spoke to Joao who was lovely & has logged a complaint & apologised for my experience. please do not use BGLG insurance group Halifax - Their admin is questionable & they send unprofessional letters with your logo on the top which reflects very badly on you!
Travel insurance the worst
Ultimate reward current account benefit is getting worse. They changed travel insurance to Allianz who are the worst in the market. It's been more than 2 months to get a claim response.
Shop Around and Don’t Trust Halifax
They increased my annual insurance by three times at renewal time. It was on a direct debit so would have gone through automatically if I didn’t stop it. They clearlyhave a policy of targeting older people with massive annual policy increases as they believe, rightly, that older people are less likely to check these matters or challenge them. I got a cheap policy with another provider.
Insurance fine as long as no issues with vehicle
My vehicle broke down as is beyond economic repair. I paid my insurance by monthly direct debit and when I advised Halifax they asked for £ 55 cancellation fee, despite the fact there was no longer any liability on their part. Disgraceful rip-off attitude
It is not possible to give zero stars. If it was, I would
It is not possible to give zero stars. If it was, I would give zero stars. Just spent 2.5 hours on the phone with various 3rd parties who are acting on behalf of Halifax. I spent 2 hours 15 minutes on hold. At 16.30 I was cut off because the company close at 16.30. So I still do not know if I can seek a courtesy car whilst my car is repaired (wall blew down on car). I would avoid this insurance company in case you have the bad luck of needing to use them. If you are seeking cheap insurance (eg for 3rd party purposes), you ll probably be okay, since you won t be making a claim on your own behalf.
I got a auto renewal I never wanted
I got a auto renewal I never wanted. These are designed to rip pensioners off.
I had told them I didn’t want it yet it was activated.
I refused to pay the charge and it went to a debt collector.
Appalling, it’s a big con, you lose thousands even when it’s not your fault.
Appalling . Had a horror crash abd despite other party admitting liability they charged me my excess and but refunded it. Passed me to underwriters (Ageas) and was pinged back and forth for weeks between tbe two. Car was write off (they live this as it means they don’t pay fjr a courtesy car. You get it between inspection abd repair only. I waited over a week for inspection (with no car , I’m a key worker) and they declared it write off in 5 mins. They then told me fhr weeks I couldn’t have an ever gravy cover cat , yet found out from a stranger I chatted to that as no fault abd have legal cover they should tell me I can claim that way. When I relayed that they said, yes you can. Do I had to tell them what o was entitled to on my policy. I was never given any advice that would help me. They then messed up putting me through to a solicitor. They valued my car at thousands under price. Should have given me cover car whilst I looked to buy new one too. I have lost thousands on this abd yet not at fault. They have been focused on doing nothing abd making money out of me. Worst most stressful customer service experience of my life, at a time o get nightmares from crash, they don’t care at all.
Don't go there
The problem with car insurance is you don't really know what cover you have till you claim, I didn't even make a claim but they chose to steal £25 from my debit card without my permission!, how can that be Legal! Surely if I pay IN FULL for my car insurance and I don't make a claim then I must be a valued customer, they should be giving me money rather than taking money money off my debit card without authorisation, how is that even legal? I expect scammers to con me out of my money if I'm stupid enough to give my card details, I dont expect it from my bank
HALIFAX CAR INSURES- HA THEY ARE BROKERS ONLY
I was insured with Halifax car insurance, or so I thought! I had a car crash on the 8th october 21. I rang Halifax, she took all the details and told me to wait for a call from a solicitors firm. They rang me that afternoon and said he would ring back Monday at 12pm. That came and went, so I thought I’d give them the benefit of doubt and waited for 12pm the following week. Nothing. So I rang the Halifax back up and they said oh sorry we are only brokers! She said you’ll have to keep trying Minster Law. So I tried all week, I was put on hold for hours and that is no joke,it really was hours and just could not get through. So I rang the Halifax AGAIN! I said look this is ridiculous, you ring Minster Law, I’ve been passed from pillar to post. So they put me through straight away! Now why didn’t they do that in the first place. I was also dealing with another company Enterprise the hire car which Halifax sorted for me(that’s the only thing they did right!) Enterprise we’re also dealing with another company that sorts out where my car was going to be fixed. They lied to me for 4 weeks! I’d be here all week if i went into that saga. All in all I would never go with them again. I bank with them and they’ve been great. But car insurance is a farce, if I could’ve give them 0 I would have. DO NOT GET CAR INSURANCE WITH THE HALIFAX-THEY ARE BROKERS-END OF.
AVOID Halifax Car Insurance they…
Avoid this Halifax Car Insurance they are a broker. I made no fault claim on 08/09/21 instead of dealing with it themselves they passed it on to a claim management company IM Solutions ( they are paid a fee from the management company for these leads ). My car was a total loss and IM Solutions gave me a value for my car within a few days I accepted the valuation. Then they did nothing. I rang them many times usually taking about 50 mins to get through only to be told they couldn’t contact the other party insurance company as they didn’t have time to hang on the phone to get through. I also emailed IM Solutions to chase my money and they never replied. When I complained about this I was told they didn’t have enough staff to deal with e.mails. I also rang Halifax quite a few times only to be told it was nothing to do with them once they had passed it onto IM Solutions. After more than three months chasing they said the claim would be reverted back to my Insurance company so I rang Halifax and they told me to ring Ageas Which turned out to be my actual Insurance Company Ageas weren’t aware of my claim until this point. Ageas were brilliant and sorted my claim and paid me for my car within 10 days.
Worst experience ever
Worst experience ever! I was sent a message to say that there was a fraudulent payment taken from my account and to speak to the team. Live chat, directed me to call even though id been on hold for hours. I have been on the phone to halifax since 8am this morning and it's now 11.32. I finally got through to someone and they hung-up. I've spoken to 3 people so far, all of which said they cannot stop the payment going through and I have to wait for a particulour fraud team to action this. Absolutely ridiculous. It's still ringing through now. Give your staff the skills to action problems quickly. A simple task like stopping a payment being processed, should be accessible to all and this will ease your call wait times. At this rate, I'm thinking to hang up and loose my money rather than wait any longer and just order a new card.
