Carpoint99 Bradford- Avoid at all costs!!

Not sure if this is the right company but I bought a car, supposedly a dealer - Carpoint99 in Bradford. I bought a car advertised on eBay and gumtree. He Agreed to part ex my car and £2000 cash. Drove 4 hours to come and get it. I checked the car over including water and oil levels - nice but old Jaguar XF. Ran well and had a quick test. Paid the cash and left. First stop was petrol station -200 mile drive home but Literally 5 miles of diesel left in it, not dodgy but a typical dealer. Drove for the first half hour, suddenly low coolant light comes on. Stop check it, sure enough not much in there (it was full at the start.) I topped it up, and headed off again. Within 20mins light came on again followed by the car cutting out just as I pull over. I tried ringing dealer -no answer. Sent a message telling him I’d gonna need to return it as obviously major problem. Surprise surprise no answer. messaged and called numerous times still no answer. Ended up calling RAC, took me and the car 200 miles home. Local Garage diagnosed - Engine seized. So there’s my experience of Carpoint99 - gave over a working car and 2k for a dead car. If you see Carpoint 99 on eBay and gumtree, - Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Bought a car from here sep 2022

Bought a car from here sep 2022, dec 2022 it needed 3x new tyres I asked for tracking to be done once tyres had been fitted. But unfortunately this couldn’t be done as suspension arms, and other works needed doing making it impossible to do tracking, I took it to a garage who pulled the mot cert up on line, the car had failed it’s mot on 20th July 2022 !reasons were suspension arms and some other problems it then passed it’s mot on 26th July .apparently the work had been carried out within these dates according to carpoint and kurbside autos (we had a copy invoice from Richard stating that the works had been carried out ).unfortunately when looking harder at the invoice we could tell it was a fake and had been just printed from a computer. The mechanic pointed out the chalk lines that could still be seen on suspension arms . Which is standard practise when cars fail , he assured us that no works had been carried out on this car.and said this car should never have been sold it is illegal what carpoint and kurbside autos have done, obviously back handers had been done!!! I phoned Richard and sent him pictures I had taken on my phone , he didn’t argue with me and paid the £424.00 to actually have the works completed , he knew I wasn’t going to be fobbed off , it was a dirty trick that they as a car sales have done , I have informed trading standards and hope both places get closed down , my daughter and granddaughter used this car daily , I hope something like this is never done again to anybody , it gives all used car sales a bad name. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I have got all proof and wish I could upload the pictures I have to back up this review I also have other pictures of bad reviews of this company,

Horrific experience with "nightmare" car

Purchased Red Audi A4 Avant in December 2021. The same day it was delivered and on first driving it, the car displayed numerous faults including leaking sunroof, faulty heater, defective rear passenger seat and driver cluster lighting fault. Reported faults, sent some images and rejected car for refund but still not been reimbursed in full as I am entitled under Consumer Rights Act 2015. CARPOINT UK MOTOR COMPANY LIMITED is refusing to reimburse me over £500. Trading Standards have been informed. Carpoint UK seems to think the working man/woman in the street should be out of pocket hundreds of pounds for faulty car even though they apparently 'turn over millions' annually.
Carpoint UK does not seem to respect statutory consumer rights. I would never consider buying from Carpoint UK again. I would not recommend Carpoint UK to anyone. I do not trust Carpoint UK of Newport. Buyer beware. I encourage anyone with a similar experience to report this outfit to Trading Standards where appropriate to do so. Carpoint UK have tried to make out to me that I am not entitled to be reimbursed. But that is not correct. I would be concerned if they fed the same information to others who might not be fully aware of their rights.
