Good product but the price (including any YouTube discounts) are way too high. I'm sure they've nearly doubled recently! I've had similar results from other sites for a lot less money.

I would love to give CarVertical a five star rating, but it is very expensive for those outside the car industry. In every other aspect it is a brilliant app that could save you thousands if you find out that the car that you want to buy is actually a very bad mistake. Everything from mileage to number of owners, crash history, finance - you name it, it is probably there. The reports last a month so print them off if you want to save them. The onboarding when you get the app is not clear and you may end up paying twice before you realise that they were trying to get you to buy more reports after the one you bought initially. Would I use it again? Yes, because I paid for more before I realised it was a promo that popped up before I could read the report that I paid over £20 with a coupon. Would I recommend it. 50/50 unless you are buying a more expensive vehicle or you have any doubts about the provenance of the one you have set your heart upon.

They sent me the wrong report even though they confirmed the car before paying they sent me the wrong report. Oh yes the customer service contacted me 2-3 days after I logged a complaint to say the have reset the report so I can access it, in the mean time I had gone somewhere else to get my report, no offer of a refund no ask if I still want a report just here is a new report for free. Well sorry I don’t need that report now got it cheaper and more accurately elsewhere

Good website and great services for checking a vehicle (including bikes, as well as cars, vans etc) before a purchase.
The block purchases of checks are a good option to bring the price down.

I had been sent a copy of car vertical check on the van I am currently selling - it shows that my vans mileage has been altered from 90000 down to 6009 - ridiculous - the data they have based their report on is past sales data of a van that looks a bit like mine ? ? It is not my van and is clearly not the same model or spec in the advertised photos shown in the report - I have asked them to take it down and rectify with the correct data but it remains live and I am still awaiting a response . In the meantime I have lost one sale and a possible second. It has also cost me £36 for the inaccurate report and just to verify its authenticity I purchased another HPI check from a different company (£20) which shows the van is totally free from any red flags
Trading standards is my next step as this is not a mistake it’s complete incompetence
Update :
customer service has admitted they made a mistake on the report and have now amended it and refunded me - I won’t however change my rating as the report was not fit for purpose - if my buyer hadn’t raised the issue I could have found myself somewhere down the line facing a mileage fraud investigation- all resolved now but I still lost the sale 😞

I used CarVertical after viewing an Audi TT RS in a dealership. I had agreed to buy the car and left a deposit. The dealer was relatively local, so I didn't run a check before viewing the car.
The CarVertical report showed that the car had been involved in a substantial frontal accident (The damage listed was to the steering, chassis, bumper, headlights, wing) approx 8 months earlier. The cost to repair was shown as between £10k-£15k. This had not shown in the dealer's HPI check as the car was not an insurance category loss. This was not declared by the dealer and I insisted on my deposit back.
After viewing a further 2 Audi TT RS, I bought the 2nd of these (which was in exceptional condition) from another in a dealer. After my 1st experience of CarVertical, I ran the check after completing as much due dilligence with the dealer as possible through conversations, e-mails, photographs and videos. My proposed purchase involved a 170 mile trip so I purchased the check before travelling. This was clear with no issues and gave some peace of mind.
A single check isn't cheap, but there are plenty of offers and codes around that give 20%-30% discount. When one considers the cost of buying a car with ussues, the check is worth its weight in gold,
Recommended service.

Easy to use, (although I’m
Not sure if the OBD unlocks are active on my cars) showing up errors on a new car what we never knew existed, well worth the purchase

The report provided was completely useless. Didn’t even pick up on the UK MOT reports

I purchased a report, but unfortunately, the specific vehicle didn't have any data available in the system (mileage, service history, etc.). I contacted their support, and they were great—they approved my refund right away. While the lack of data was disappointing, their customer service is top-notch and trustworthy.
I will definitely use them again for my next car search.
