The Stanley Armchair is our second item…

The Stanley Armchair is our second item of "case" furniture. We love the mid-century "clean-lines" of Matthew Hilton's beautiful furniture designs. "Case" furniture is superbly crafted. The sales/admin team were very professional, helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this company.

Fabulous - What's not to like!

New table

I love with my new, very beautiful table. Case Furniture's customer service to fix up delivery time with their contract delivery company was communicated well. Although delivery was later in the evening than scheduled, the table was assembled quickly and with care.

Brilliant service

Brilliant service, kept up to date fully with when my order would arrive - like everything stock is slow to arrive due to Covid, however the team at Case make sure you're well informed. Product was as expected and delivery was first class, very happy!

Good furniture & great customer service too.

I decided to indulge my taste for Case Furniture by adding another Oki Nami chair to my set by buying one in their outlet.

I hadn’t dealt with the showroom previously but for this transaction needed to sort it all out with them.

Martha was incredibly helpful from start to finish - sending me photos of the chair, sorting out the order & updating on pick up etc.

Case is definitely the place to go for well designed & good quality furniture & good customer service too.

Unbelievably bad

I made the mistake of ordering in the spring some garden furniture to enjoy during the summer. I bought from them because the item was listed as "in stock" on their website.
After 3 months, the summer is now gone, and beside a long list of emails with various excuses every time with a new reason for delay, I still did not receive anything!

Unbelievably bad: I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

SHOCKING

WARNING:

I bought 2 Case Furniture EOS outdoor sofas from the Conran Shop - this review is relating to Case Furniture only (for the record the Conran Shop were extremely helpful - specifically Becky).

Having spent 6 months looking for the right outdoor sofas and 5 more months waiting for them to be delivered - they were outdoors for 4 days, exposed to some light rain, and to my surprise the seat pads soaked through and were extremely heavy. When they dried out, which took a number of days in airing cupboard - they were covered in white staining.

On contacting Case Furniture they explained this was due to an excessive amount of fire retardant on the sofas and they recommended washing the covers, which we did - so they openly admitted this was an issue with their product.
What they didn't tell me was that each cover would take 1 week to dry due the 'rubber-like' material on the inside. Not only did they take a week to dry but this was with me turning ether over every few hours in the airing cupboard. We have 2 sofas and this required the 12 covers to be washed 6 at a time which resulted in 2 weeks worth of laundering & drying them.

I was exhausted and furious by the end of this process, but more importantly, we now didn't know whether they could be left outdoors at all. I contacted Case Furniture to update them on this - their response was that their product is water-resilient, not water-proof (I'm yet to hear a convincing definition of the difference from Case Furnture) and as far as they were concerned they would send replacement covers and weren't interested in any further discussion regarding this matter - they sent me to the Conran Shop to go over it all over again with them.
I was clear in my response that there seemed little point in sending new cushion covers as I had already solved the white staining issue having been thorough the pain of the laundering of theres for 2 weeks. They again were unwilling to discuss matters any further. From a Customers perspective, it was like communicating with a brick wall).

On contacting the Conran Shop, who are in full agreement that it was unacceptable for Case Furniture to wash their hands of this and went into attempting to resolve matters with them.
Case Furnitures response to the Conran Shop was that the cushions were left out in heavy rain - this was an entire fabricated by them in an attempt to resolve any responsibility for easinesses in the product.

3 months on and with 12 Eos sofa cushions on our kitchen floor since June (the sofas remain unused other than the 4 days they were outside) - and we remain unclear whether these sofas can be left outdoors, which is ridiculous considering they are outdoor sofas - not to mention the extremely high cost of them.

In short, Eos Sofas are not fit for purpose - they are unsuitable for outdoor use, irrespective of what Case Furniture say - my experience confirms otherwise - you should know this if you are considering purchasing them.
I wish I hadn't

So 3 months on and regular reports back from the Conran Shop that Case Furniture will not take any responsibility whatsoever - the upshot is the Conran Shop has very kindly provided a modest partial refund that will pay for covers to be made to protect the sofas. It is utterly negligent to make this kind of product and not provide or sell covers for them when you know they retain water.

We have purchased a number of items over the years from Case Furniture; these sofas were our final purchase - I absolutely refuse to be a Customer of an organisation that behaves so blatantly unhelpful and disrespectful towards its Customers.

We are happy to hear that the white stains are gone, and that you have reached an agreement with your retailer.

With regards to maintaining the sofas, although the materials and finishes used are selected for their ‘all-weather / year-round’ characteristics, we recommend that the frame of this product is stored or covered during cold and wet winter months. We also advise that the cushions are stored in a dry location whilst not in use, to prolong the life of this product. We hope this helps.
