I would not recommend the Castle Dental…

I would not recommend the Castle Dental on Research and Braker.

I got a quote from Marissa for some dental work and was told everything was covered. However I got a call from billing that I owed $331. I called the office, which does not answer the phones unless I say new patient. I had left constant messages and no callback. I finally got Lindsey, the general manager. She happened to be at that office. I explained everything and she had me call insurance. They said Marissa should have known this charge was not covered and I shouldn’t have to pay it. Never could reach her.

Secondly I told her about an estimate for scaling. My part was $129 a quad which included a gingivitis rinse. I asked Marissa if I had to have a rinse and she adamantly said they would not do the scaling if I didn’t get the rinse. Lindsey quoted me $66.50 a quad.

I go to the office today and it was a fiasco. I told them I wanted to verify the price. She told me she was going to check with insurance BECAUSE IT CHANGES MONTHLY. My out of pocket today said $273. Emma was very nice. But

JAY CAME OVER TO ME IN THE LOBBY WITH AN ATTITUDE AND TOLD ME BEFORE I GOT THE QUOTE “You know THAT SCALING IS EXPENSIVE, in the THOUSANDS.” I told him I had insurance.
As I was getting the info from Emma, I asked to speak to Lindsey. He jumped in and said she was not available. I said she is the manager huh. His response “YES BUT NOT A VERY GOOD ONE” To me
that was way out of line. I asked for my records and told them I will never step foot in that office.

I liked the Dentist, but the front office staff keeps changing and that presents a problem.

I asked for my medical records and was told they would send to my email. J (Javier) sent me an email with photos. When I forwarded to my NEW dentist they told me these were not my X-rays. Incompetence.

Went to my new dentist and I did not need the scaling that they going to charge me for. I had to pay $83 to the new dentist for X-rays that I requested from Castle Cc and was sent another patients.

They rip people off

They rip people off. Read the hundreds of reviews on Better Business Bureau. This is a pattern for them. They will grossly overcharge, ignore you when you contact them, then write on online reviews that they've resolved it. They are liars.

Castle Dental is a third world dental company.

My wife and I visited the Castle Dental office on Bay Area Blvd in Clear Lake. We received the worst treatment that I have ever experience in my life. The staff was very unfriendly and unprofessional, the place was dirty with broken floor tiles and plastic gloves on the floor. The Dentist was dressed like a janitor, the dental hygenist was condecending and rude. Their business model is to extract as much money from the patients and the insurance companies. Do not know how they stay in business. Employees should be ashame to work in such a place.

Not very good if you want quality work

Idk man the front desk people were nice, but the dentist was stuttering and seemed unsure of himself. He didn't seem confident, knowledgeable, and competent like your average dentist. I had thoughts of just walking out. Also, they don't clean your teeth on your visit, so if you have insurance that gives you two cleanings/exams a year, a visit here will waste one of those slots. Now I have to be very careful about which dentist I get a second opinion from. The exam room was dirty compared to what you would expect, and it took the nurse a million years to get the secondary x-rays.

I wanted to see whether it'd be worth it to go to a 'discount dentist', but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. The quote for the tooth extraction was mad cheap though with my insurance (~$122). I might have to take them up on it, but since they seem like less skilled dentists it might hurt a lot...

Dr Ayana Cartwright

Dr. Ayana Cartwright, Castle Dental on Westheimer in Houston. Dr. Cartwright caused the loss of a tooth due to incompetence, negligence or malice. I have contacted her office several times but she has yet to return my call. I am filing a formal complaint with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners and finding a local dental group to conduct a peer review of the situation. Beware!

Castle Dental Hixson Tn-Unhappy patient

Went to Castle Denistry to get a tooth distracted. It was recommended I get a crown instead. Even though the staff was friendly and polite the dentist work sucked. The temporary tooth hurt for days and one day it just came out. I was told I'd get another prescription for pain and antibiotics until I came back. I had a root canal that left me in more pain. Went back for the crown. It still hurt and was not aligned correctly. I went back a 5th time to have the tooth filed down some more. Got a little comfort but the tooth still bothers me when I chew on that side. I didn't bother to call or go back because at that point I didn't want them anywhere near my mouth. A thousand dollars to get some relief and it's still giving me problems.

Murfreesboro Tn office

Murfreesboro Tn office. Staff was polite. I arrived to get consultation. Extract 25 teeth, get initial dentures. Was told to purchase their insurance and then they have in house financing. I am a gulf war vet fighting depression because of the embarassment of my teeth for 30 years so needless to say I was so excited to have this appointment. Everything great until the end when I was told extraction would be $13K and dentures $2500. They said the insurance I was told to purchase only covered $2000. So I asked if in house financing would take care of the rest. I needed to fill out a credit application and within 2 minutes I was told I was qualified for $800 yes eight hundred dollars towards the $15K treatment. VERY MISLEADING! I fell into a deep depression and realized this is my life now and no one will help. Its no wonder why so many people fall into the demon of depression and decide to give up on life.

Castel Dental at Humble By-pass 1960

On 6/16/2022 I arrived at Castel Dental in Humble, Texas excited to receive my initial consultation for cosmetic dental work. When I was researching facilities to accommodate my needs I was in contact with Castel Dental call Center and they sent me multiple pages of history information required to assist me better to include any X-rays. The paperwork and X-rays were emailed 10 days in advance of the scheduled appointment day/time. Upon arriving I was informed that there was never any information received and that additional X-rays were to be performed moving forward.
Having completed again, the required paperwork then waiting pass my appt. time [I arrived 30 mins. early] I declined the additional X-ray request as the information had been emailed as instructed on 6/02/2022. Just another way for the Dental industry to extract monies from hard working folks. An individual poked his head around the corner looked at me then went back around the corner, motioned for the front desk staff member to come over to him. She returned and informed me that I was not the type of person that they would be able to assist. That I was not a "good fit" for them.
I felt humiliated and "categorized, & labeled" by this establishment.
Is this what a service provider is supposed to act like these days? I do not wish anyone else to have to endure the way this business treats their patients.

God awful experience

God awful experience. This was my son not me, but I called and was treated with absolute disdain by the office manager JaDonna. I've never been spoken to or treated so badly by any dentists office ever and I've been to many. They've all been great except here. I called them out on their Shoddy work and boy was she mad. Not my problem. I'm not paying them to be my friend. Please go somewhere reputable like Mouse Creek Dental or Winn smiles .

This is the worst place I have ever…

This is the worst place I have ever been, not even just in terms of dentist visits just genuinely the worst place. The staff gets an attitude immediately when something that is their fault happens. They got a file stuck in my gum permanently and tried to find a way to blame me. They have dropped instruments on me during a crown procedure and didn't even bother to apologize. I had a strand of hair in my face and instead of moving it or asking me to do so they yanked it out of my head without warning. They charged and have so far kept $800 of my personal money for getting the file stuck in my tooth during a root canal, which I was not even informed of until I went to a specialist. This is just the start of the issues I have had with the Castle dental on 11th Street by Kroger.

Horrible horrible

Horrible horrible. They forgot to prescribe antibiotics. I am immune compromised. They couldn’t see my infected bone graft because they had a meeting. That is verbatim. I had to pull my own stitches. I will never go back.

The worst dental Company ever .I had…

The worst dental Company ever .I had the privilege of going to them in February-of last year 2020 with tooth ache the Dentist talk me in too Root canal after pulling another tooth said lower partial are hard to deal with , beginning in pain and frighten I let him proceed. Sylvia there office clerk had me sign an agreement to pay for what need to be financed. The worst thing was with the pandemic gonna on the Dentist and his assistant was jump back and forth between patients .upon my return to for the crown I had the miss fortune to find they were closed . This company didn’t return any of my phone calls and when they did every appointment they made was cancel .I finally got a return appointment in October to find that they put me threw drilling off the temporary cap to find they didn’t have the permanent one .The Dentist ask me which tooth need capped 😂 upon finishing he or the assistant cut under my tongue of which I had to ask them to let me up because of blood in my mouth ,I had to spit in a trash can . I was told to come back in November of which they cancel because crown wasn’t their I ask them to stop taking payments they didn’t made another appointment they cancel . It been 14 months and I’ve been dealing with them trying to get refunded for work that was never completely done and Sylvia stated she was only given back $300.00 out of $1786.00 no apology or sympathy about any of the service I received from them . I’m grateful that I didn’t contact the virus from there and didn’t get an infection that would have been bad on my heart murmur of which they knew about . I lost a lot of money in bad and hard times but have learn just how far some company’s will go too take advantage of other . I hope this helps others before their the next victim also beware of (Smile Brand Dental Finance ) Peggy Deuss
Very disappointed customer

Castle Dental versus the DSOs?

I called around to numerous dental offices with no surprise none of them made an acrylic night guard. Then I called Castle Dental and was shocked they made them. I couldn't even fathom that I got an appointment the very next day; I've never had that happen in forty-years. All the staff I talked with over the phone and in-person were very customer service oriented. I would like to see a shake-up of the dental industry; I believe Castle Dental could be the leader in doing just that.

I had a bad experience starting at my first visit

I had a bad experience starting at my first appointment. The receptionist was great. The dentist was rough & very painful, he was actually the lead dentist. I asked him to stop the procedure & asked if they had A option for sedation he responded let me check your insurance. He came back and stated yes your insurance covers it at 100%. But I would have to schedule with the surgeon & she only comes once a month. So I chose to wait which was almost 3 weeks out. Well, today was my oral surgery appointment I get called to the back filled out several papers, met the surgeon AND then was sent back to the front where I'm confused at this point not to mention in severe pain. The receptionist not the nice one the RUDE one which I just found out is the office supervised Adrian R. Handed me a paper to sign saying i owed $255 for this appointment, I was like no my insurance covers this. She stated no they only cover a certain portion. I called my insurance the rep stated no that sedation is covered 100% even if it's INLY one tooth. Do at this point beyond aggravated so I stepped out to discuss with humana (about 5 min if that) I go back I told her im just going to have it done without sedation it's painful. She stated but the surgeon is with Another patient, I sat there & sat there I finally walked out. The visit was poor, staff training poor. It's not like a family dentist it's more retail.

Staff is rude especially office manager…

Staff is rude especially office manager by the name of Maria at the Rosenberg clinic. You can't even get a call back from the corporate office after a complaint. I can't wait for my sons' braces to come out. I won't recommend this establishment to anyone.
The company also uses deceptive marketing in getting consumers to sign up payment arrangement but what they never explain to you is that it is a credit application.
