If they offer home emergency only I would use them for all my properties

Well done CET!

CET were very good from the first call. They dealt with my home emergency (blocked drain) quickly and efficiently. The engineer arrived promptly and did an excellent job. No more blocked drain! Well done.

I recently had the pleasure of having a plumber from ECT . I couldn't be more satisfied with the service provided. Every thing was handled professionally and efficiently. He arrived on time, and quickly diagnosed the issue. The quality of the work was excellent. He made sure the area left clean. I would highly recommend him I found him to be very skilful. Thank you.

Very efficient and professional.

Had an emergency drainage issue and contacted CET through their emergency number. Lady talked me through the process and engineer was booked for same day. Engineers rang me when on his way, and later blockage was cleared.

Bare faced liars

Absolute shambles. My Nationwide/RSA emergency cover sent a CET engineer who lied through his teeth. He claimed he was fixing a part, then told CET my system was full of sludge—despite never even taking a water sample. CET then refused the claim, demanding £550 for a 'Power flush.' My boiler was just serviced in January and confirmed to be spotless by an independent pro. Because the CET engineer slapped a 'Do Not Use' notice on it, I had to spend £2.7k on a new boiler and as my insurance policy doesn't cover this I am out of pocket. I've escalated this to the underwriters (RSA). Avoid CET at all costs; they’ll find any excuse to dodge a claim.
UPDATE 31st May 26: Still avoiding their obligations. A mediator from Intact Insurance (Kelly) has tried to resolve my complaint and CET just aren't complying/responding which is both rude and frustrating. If they fail to respond by 8th June then I've no choice but to take this further with the Financial Services Ombudsman, absolutely diabolical and shoddy service, ignoring a problem won't make it go away!

Split Hot Water Cylinder

We have Allianz Home Emergency Cover via MBNA and we reported that we had a slight leak on a valve going into the heating pump, at this stage we still had hot water and a working central heating system. This was passed on to CET and they arranged for an engineer to come out who then assessed the leak and ordered the required replacement valve part. He returned to fit this part 3 days later at 9:30pm on a Friday night. In trying to do the repair he split our hot water copper cylinder where a pipe entered it. We now have no hot water or heating as he has had to cap off various pipes to this cylinder to stop it leaking when we turned the stop tap back on. This was so at least we could have some cold water and flush the toilets. Both the company CET and Allianz now don’t want to accept any liability for what one of their employees has done and said it is down to fair wear and tear on the copper cylinder, which was working fine before even with our initial slight leak.
