cex.io is definitely a scam, they made withdrawals difficult by asking what VPN I was using. and long-winded messages and groups on Telegram only admins can write, yes because I asked this one day after that direct messages are not allowed for members.

I HAVE HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE WITH CEX.IO, I THINK I WILL FILE A LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM. THEY DON'T WANT TO RETURN THE CASH ON THE ACCOUNT, I'VE BEEN TALKING WITH THEM FOR 3 MONTHS BECAUSE THEY ASKED FOR THE ORIGIN OF THE PROPERTY. WHEN I PROVED EVERYTHING TO THEM AND ASKED THAT THE MONEY BE RETURNED TO THE ACCOUNT FROM WHICH IT WAS PAID TO THE FIAT WALLET, THEY REFUSED THE TRANSACTION AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO COMMUNICATE WITH SOME WAY OF E-MAIL FOR 2 WEEKS AND NO ONE ANSWERS. THEY HAVE HORRIBLY HIGH COMMISSIONS, THE WORST CRYPTO EXCHANGE I HAVE EXPERIENCED, THEIR BUSINESS IS BORDERING ON CRIMINAL, I THINK THE POLICE SHOULD DEAL WITH CEX.IO

money just disappears
When i made a deposit to buy crypto and withdraw there was already 'Maintenance' for that currency since 2 weeks, which I didn't know about. I had to wait for a week that this was 'resolved' but since I requested to withdraw, that money is in the limbo, not here not there, and the request has been pending as it has from the start. Customer service stopped replying. Why is that company still out there?

Keep away, they don't care about your money as soon as you deposit it to the platform.
They will find 1000 and 1 reason to not allow you withdraw, if you make some profit... They will not authorize you, will put withdraw under maintenance, will close your account and block in all social networks... Just check the reviews for cex.io exchange, not 5 stars, because this are fake, but 1 stars...

Today my debit card was hacked…
Today my debit card was hacked reflecting CEX.IO as the merchant which charged the 3 transactions amount from my account. I have never invested in crypto. Dont know anything about it. Never planned to invest and dont have time to understand how it works yet this site somehow managed to take my card info and hacked into it. S C A M!

absolutely terrible
absolutely terrible. could not get any help from customer service at all. was able to purchase crypto but they would reject my withdrawal every single time and would not get back with me to fix it. ended up just converting the crypto back to cash and taking it back out. will not do business with this company again.
