I’d been thinking & considering this surgery for a long time but never thought I’d have the funds or opportunity to do it so never really discussed it with my family.

Thanks to my beautiful, beloved Grandma & her gift. The funds & opportunity were there.

Yes I did come across my surgeon & his team whilst scrolling. I clicked the link. Answered the questions. Before I knew I was asking my Dad to be my chaperone.

Video calls & multiple WhatsApp messages followed. Even with the time difference I was impressed by how responsive they were. ❤️

I had no control when it came to food. As well as myself I could see my weight & health was becoming a big concern to my family.

My family was my biggest support. My Dad was incredible going through this with me. I know he had concerns & anxiety. People always raise an eyebrow when you mention going to Turkey for a procedure. They have no idea. I couldn’t recommend it enough, especially with this surgeon & his team.

We left for Istanbul on Sunday 15/3/2026.

We arrived at the hotel by private transfer(included) at 10.30pm. My cut off for eating was 11pm. Fluids 6am. I was not allowed to anything inc a sip of water for 3 day. That was the biggest struggle.

After a lot of test & a thorough going over medically I was given the all clear to proceed & taken down for surgery at about 4pm.

2 1/2hrs later I was back in my room. High as a kite, completely delirious & Dad asking is this normal 😂. I’m not going to lie the first few hours were extremely uncomfortable. I was out of bed & walking within 4hrs.

2 days later(Wednesday) we were back at the hotel.

Friday we hopped on the Metro for a trip to the center of Istanbul. No discomfort & no pain.

We flew home Saturday 21/3/2026.

Current weight 12st 1lb. Over 3stone off in less than 3 months.

I’m already less of a strain on the NHS.

Before this I did try weight loss injections. . At approximately £150 a month. I spent £600 over 4 months with barely any loss. It was more cost effective to have surgery.

I am 6 months post op and have never felt so well for a long time. Not only am I 7 1/2 stone down but im off all bp meds/ cholesterol meds. Dr Aydogan saved my life and his treatment from start to finish was amazing. You are given VIP treatment from the moment you step off the plane. The whole team are so caring and explain everything that will happen. The hospital and hotel were both amazing with such high standards. I cannot thank the good Doctor and his staff. Please do not hesitate to go, it will change your life

I recently underwent a Gastric bypass surgery performed by Dr. Ceyhun Aydoğan, and I can honestly say that the entire experience exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning, the process was explained to me in a clear and detailed way, and all of my questions were answered patiently, which made me feel comfortable and confident about the surgery.

The operation was performed laparoscopically, and the post-operative care and follow-up were extremely attentive and professional. My recovery has been smoother than I expected, and so far I have not experienced any serious complications.

Dr. Aydoğan’s professionalism, calm demeanor, and patient-centered approach made a potentially stressful experience much easier for me. I truly felt that I was in safe and experienced hands throughout the entire process.

Well!!!! What an amazing team and an amazing experience from start to finish.

From the first conversation on WhatsApp were I was given all the information and I was asked for my health information this experience has been outstanding.

My first point of call was Lily and she is such a lovely person. She is bubbly and friendly and so helpful.

To book the operation all I needed to do was sending proof of the flight tickets. I was a little nervous but very excited about being able to start a new life where I was in control of what I ate and my health instead of food being in control.

My partner came with me and he has been truly wonderful in every way possible. I highly recommend bringing someone with you not only for physical support but for company too.

We landed in Istanbul airport (which is a huge airport) that has lots of English signs. It was quite a walk but well directed to where you go to meet your driver. They asked my name and told me the driver would arrive shortly. We had a brief wait and then we were taken to a very nice car and a lovely friendly driver.

It was about a 40 minute drive to the hotel. The hotel is stunning, again the staff are fabulous and helpful and it has everything you need and more.

At 6am the following morning we were collected from the hotel by a driver and Lily, yes Lily! This lovely lady who I had been chatting to and asking endless questions was there at 6am to greet us, and she did it with a beautiful smile on her face.

While we travelled to the hospital Lily explained what was going to happen step by step. The do blood tests, x-rays, I had an ultrasound and then the consultation with a consultant. Then there is a video call with a psychiatrist. Once all that is done (and Lily was with us through all of this) we meet the head nurse, Lily’s boss Michael, the dietitian (I’m not sure how to spell her name and I don’t want to get it wrong) and Dr. Ceyhun. Again they were all fantastic, explained what was going to happen. There was NO waiting at any point for more than a couple of minutes.

Time for the surgery!!!! I had three operations at the same time. I had the gastric bypass, my gallbladder removed and my umbilical hernia repaired. The later two I have been on the waiting list in the UK for over 18 months.

The operation went very well and I was back in my hospital room with my partner just over a couple of hours later.

The hospital its self looks more like a hotel and again ALL the staff are so helpful and friendly and nothing is too much. The nurses, porters and auxiliary staff are just fabulous.

After the operation I was sore and had so much trapped wind, all of which is normal. After 4 hours they advise you to walk and I can’t stress enough how much this helps with the trap wind.

I spent 3 days and 3 nights in the hospital and I had been discharged back to the hotel today and I feel amazing.

While I was recovering Lily messaged every day to check on me and Micheal (the head nurse (I am useless with names and can’t remember his) and Dr. Ceyhun visited me everyday.

I haven’t felt at all hunger, however I did suffer with being thirsty as I would get near to my next lot of medication being due. Once the drip is one though that thirst goes.

So this morning at 5am I was given all my usual medication and told I would be having an x-ray and then I would be discharged. The x- ray had been taken and checked by 8am and Lili and the lovely dietitian were with me in my room by 9:30 explaining what each medication was and how, when and for how long I need to take them. My partner sat taking notes for me, bliss him and they explained that everything they were saying was all written down for me as well in the pack they also gave me. This also included a letter for the flight crew, telling them I had had surgery and they had to look after me.

I will update this review over the next few months so people looking into having surgery with Dr. Ceyhun and his team has as much information as possible.

I promise you that I have not over exaggerated or over embellished in any way. My daughter was extremely worried about me coming, she thought it could be a con or that the treatment wouldn’t be upto much but she was extremely wrong.

My experience has been that it has been 100% value for money and treatment and I would tell anyone and everyone thinking of having surgery with this amazing team that not only will the not regret it but that it will all be one of the best things they ever do.

Had my procedure on the 23/01/2025 and it was one of the best decisions of my life. Doctor Ceyhun and his team were amazing. I felt at home and I was well taken care of. The follow up so far has been great because they have always been responsive to all my doubts. I will definitely recommend him.

I had surgery with Dr Ceyhun. I’m very happy with him and his team, their hospitality and service were amazing.

The doctor, medical team, nurses etc were all amazing, even with language differences they made it very clear. I am three months post op and have lost over 16 kilos, I have 3-4 to go and will have hit my first goal. The support through WhatsApp since I’ve been home has been amazing as well. It’s been a massive lifestyle change but so worth it, every time I see my reflection I have to look twice. I feel confident for the first time in years

Fantastic surgeon made me feel at ease, I'm a wimp when it comes to pain and it was no bother to them, gas pain was bad after the surgery but had all the pre op tests and they were very thorough had all tests and blood tests done in 18 hours, staff are very friendly and helpful check on you during the night the translators are ace

I flew to Istanbul in early September and I have no complaints. I could reach someone at all times and could ask all questions.
I am now in the process of recovery and managed to get by the first month. I got full support the whole time for all my questions and concerns.

I had my gastric sleeve done 3weeks ago and I can't thank enough for all team who took care of me and my family(as my husband and daugher stayed with me) everyone was so friendly and everything well organised. For me as a patient was really important that doctor came to meet me before op personally,that shows special attention. I travelled from Australia in August 2024 for the gastric sleeve surgery. I had a fantastic experience with Dr Ceyhun and his team. Everything was included in the package and I felt extremely well looked after. Dr Ceyhun discovered that I had a hiatus hernia and repaired it at the same time as completing my gastric sleeve surgery. The only thing I believe could be improved would be an increase in pain medication! Other than that, I have only wonderful things to say and have lost 11kg in the first month. Excited to see what the future holds!

From the time of arrival to your discharge everyone was very helpful and making sure you were looked after all the way. There was never a moment when I needed something and someone was at hand to help out. Trust the experience as its worth it. Excellent results, six months in, I've lost 25 kgs.

One year on from my sleeve surgery and all I can say is the whole process from start to finish was fantastic. The surgery was as good as surgery cancelled be the hospital experience was great. They after care for the last year has been great I would highly recommend I'm now 8 stone down and loving life again.

I am so glad and thankful that I chose to be one of the patients. The staff starting form the interpreter to the cleaners and nurses are exceptional, also I strongly believe I choose the best doctor for me and my health! I am so grateful for all they did for me .
