My experience with Dr. Ceyhun and his team was great. I had my surgery (gastric sleeve) on 8th May and they looked after me with great care. All the nurses are great, even if they don’t speak English. They’ve always been there for me and nothing was too much for them. My medical consultant, Zivile, booked the surgery, hotel and transportation for me and everything went smoothly from arrival to departure. My coordinator, Robert, who spoke very good English, was great also. He talked to me before the surgery, he answered all my questions and he made me feel at ease. The hospital is clean and the cafeteria offers a wide variety of food for companions. I’m glad I chose this clinic and I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you very much, Dr. Ceyhun and team!

First and foremost: THE OPERATION WENT WELL, WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE WHOLE THING!

- The logistic management was prompt, thorough and polite. Dara was there for me anytime I needed, even on non working days, and helped me through the decision process, giving me all the information I needed.
As only and minor flaw, the minimal contact with the surgeon. I don’t feel like the surgical indication was given superficially, and all the information was given in written form in the very well don internet site, yet, I would have left some worries at home, if I had talked to the surgeon once, before getting on the plane.
- Transfer service was on time, cars were safe and clean, driver were supportive and polite.
- Hospital stay:
o The hospital was state of the art, clean and pleasant. The organisation of preoperative examination was impeccable.
o Translators were provided to help communicate with the non-English speaking medical personnel in the perioperative phases. All of them were nice and competent, and helped me feel relaxed in the most critical part of the path.
o The dietician were also competent, friendly and prompt, they provided me with both written and oral information and keep in touch with me to help me navigate the future development.
o At discharging I was given all the important information in hard copy and in English, as much as all the medications needed for the remain of my stay in Turkey, fit to fly documents and tests results.
- The Hotel Accommodation (Nova Plaza Prime) was the only unsatisfactory aspect due to its unfortunate location (minimal possibility to move around walk around in a safe environment)

What can I say? An amazing experience which has been life changing. I only wish I had done this before. from my surgeon to my follow-up team Selvi, Doga and Muhammed , My experience was Brilliant. I have had no complications, no pain. Dr. Aydoghan is a Very skilled and talented Surgeon and My follow up have always been there for me With advice and support. It's been nearly a year now since my gastric sleeve operation. All well and I feel happy, healthy and light 😁. Big thank you to medical team looking after me, Dr. Ceyhun Aydogan, who operated me. I want to pass on a huge Thank-you to Dr Ceyhun Aydogan and the whole team who have made what was a really scary decision to come abroad for gastric sleeve surgery a huge success. I am a NHS registered nurse and was given the recommendation from two previous colleagues that have also had gastric sleeve surgery with him and have had amazing results.

I was supported throughout by Elif who I cannot t thank enough as I always felt I had her with me on the whole journey as she was always available over what’s app and answered every question I could throw at her and invited me to join the Facebook page so I could chat to others who had already completed surgery or were in Istanbul at the time or like myself were nervously asking questions about how everything would work with having surgery overseas.

My experience has been amazing. I have felt so supported throughout, from planning the trip, to arriving in Istanbul and being met by the driver to arriving at the hotel and being looked after by the staff there.

On the day of the procedure you are picked up in private taxi transfer and taken to clinic where we met Marcos our interpreter who was really friendly, reassuring and informative reassuring us exactly what the process of the next few days would be. After being shown to our rooms he followed our small group throughout the morning of tests including blood tests, X-ray, ultra sound and medical review explaining everything and answering our questions.

The nurses on the ward were very caring and professional ( some could speak a little English and we always managed to convey our needs whilst staying ).

There is a chair bed for your companion to stay with you in your en-suite room. My friend struggled with the food provided in that it was usually cold and not appetising. So bring snacks for companion. There are vending machines at the hospital so do bring 5 and 10 Turkish lira notes as the coffee machines only take these. Just on the left of the hospital is a small store to buy snacks also.

Opposite the hospital is a lovely little park where we enjoyed our initial walks the day after surgery.

The surgery went very well however I was told the next day that adrenaline was used to wake me after the general anaesthetic so had an additional bill of £42. A chap who also had surgery the same day was billed just over £300 as he needed adrenaline and the use of equipment.

The surgeon visits daily to check progress. Minimal interaction however the opportunity to ask questions is there and interpreter always there to support.

The information to a shared what’s app group that also includes Dr Mohammed who will be providing the follow up after care advice.

I am now back at the hotel 4 days post op. I am pain free and have enjoyed the past few days sight seeing.

I cannot believe they already I am feeling the positive changes. I am not shaking with hunger or feeling fatigued.

I don’t normally write reviews but was asked to and actually really wanted to let other people know about my positive experiences with the whole team.

It’s a scary life changing decision to have gastric surgery never mind travel overseas to have it but you really do feel in safe hands with Dr Ceyhun and his team.

I am almost 7 months post surgery with Dr Ceyhun Aydogan. I still have a support from dietician Selvi Nur. Which I am grateful for. I have lost 34kg so far and I am looking forward for the rest of my gastric sleeve weight loss journey. I have been recommending Arpanu Medical to everyone. My partner also had this surgery done after me and my friend is going in two weeks,so we are all Dr Ceyhun Aydogans patients. No regrets.

It's been a year and I couldn't be happier. My life has changed for the better.
It has been challenging for sure but rewarding. Miss eating as I used to but glad I can't. That was the problem.
I thought it was gonna be harder but in the same way you learn to enjoy a new dish, you learn to either eat less, not eat certain things, take care.of your liquids/solids consumption. Let your body do the talking and follow. It isn't that hard.
I'm glad that even today, almost a year after the surgery, I'm still getting a reminder for my blood work and questions a lut how I'm doing.

He is one of the most experienced doctors I have ever met in my life. The surgery was completed successfully and it has been almost 7 months and I have not had any problems. Its been almost a month since I have done the stomach reduction surgery. Let me tell you guys that I could never be happier with my choice. I would highly recommend doing surgery at Cheyhun Aydoğan. The nurses took care of me, if there was any problems they would make sure to solve the problem. After the first day of surgery I could walk. My husband and daughter got food from the hospital every day in these three days. They did not only take care of me but also my family. If you have problems with communication due to the language. That would not be a problem! I come from Sweden but my main language is Arabic, and I understand Arabic better than Swedish. So they brought a translator that gives information to you and handles all of the information the hospital needs. We could ask Yusuf (our translator) any questions we wanted. We had also communication with Homar, he has done so much for me and to be honest I have never felt this welcomed until now. If I had any problems Homar would directly solve the problems. We had some issues with the hotel and we told him about it and he had directly talked with them and was starting to solve the problem. I have never met someone as helpful as him. After the surgery there was a nurse who could help me, she gave me medication and instructions. After the surgery I have to follow diets and the dietitian have much communication with me. If I have any questions about the diet or anything they would answer directly. Now I’m losing weight and started to see amazing results. I highly recommend doing gastric surgery at Cheyhun Aydoğan and have Homar for assistance.
Even after the surgery there is a lot of communication and the best part is that they answer soooo quickly. They have a lot of communication with each other.

Dr Aydogan and his team have been amazing throughout my weight loss journey. The support I have received has enabled me to make the most of my surgery and use it to its greatest potential . I am six months post op and have lost 44kg my starting weight was 140kg. The care continues via the what’s app team of dieticians and Drs who monitor my progress.
