Be careful with this subscription…

Be careful with this subscription service. I was initially charged around $2 for the trial, then later charged A$41.35 automatically without clear consent or warning. I canceled the subscription straight away and requested a refund, but the refund was denied because of their policy. Very disappointing experience.

Stay away from this total online scam

This company is a total online scam. They hide payments, subscription management, and cancellation like a scammer. The product and interface are easy to use but I don't understand why, after building such a great product and platform, they are being so sketchy. I have never seen any online or digital business this sketchy ever in my life. Stay far, far, far away from this business. Don't use until they register a business in your country and are bound by legal rules and jurisdiction. I reached their support and they pointed me to something that don't exist.

I actually wanted to upgrade to the best plan they had and when I went to change my plan I was their site showed: "You are on the PRO plan and are currently subscribed through our mobile app. To manage your plan or view billing details, please go to the Subscriptions page on your mobile device." I never signed up on their mobile app. They dont even have a mobile app on the App Store. They claim on their site that they are Cross-compatible: Accessible on Web, iOS, and Android devices through any browser, with a mobile-friendly interface. What a scam, what a lie, what a fraud this company is conducting in daylight. On top of it, they are responding to reviews and giving their support, and they point you to something to follow on their site settings and self-help. Those settings don't even exist. Stay far away. Chargeback your card. Don't use paypal or any other digital wallet service TO SIGN UP ON ANY DIGITAL SERVICE EVER as they will side with them and not you.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with ChatbotAI. I signed up for their trial offer at £1.49 per week, expecting transparency before any future charges. However, without any reminder email or proper notification, they charged my card £22 for a subscription I did not intend to continue.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I barely used the service for even 2 days. The original £1.49 already felt wasted because I didn’t get enough value from the platform, and then I was unexpectedly charged again for a full subscription.

I contacted customer support immediately on the same day the £22 charge appeared and politely requested a refund, explaining that I had not used the service and did not want the subscription. Unfortunately, they refused to help or offer any refund at all.

This feels unfair and very disappointing from a company that should value customer trust and satisfaction. A good business would understand when a customer has barely used the service and requested cancellation immediately after being charged.

I would strongly advise others to be extremely careful when signing up for their trial offers and to monitor their billing closely.
They asked me for additional information and I provided them with all the required information. They didn't get back to me after that and also didn't give me refund. Such a scam website.

This is not Claude

I believed the website I purchased my Pro plan was from Claude. After using this website a few times I realised that something was not working correctly. I have requested a refund of the 3 month subscription I have paid. I have been able to cancel my subscription but have been told the refund period is 3 days. Do not under any circumstances use this website Paddle.net is also complicit by allowing this to happen.

Very Deceptive Billing Practices!

I've been looking all over the Internet, and everyone I've found has a really poor review of this company. This company will give you a trial period for one week, and if you cancel within that week, they will still bill you anyway and won't refund your money. They use very deceptive business practices. I advise anyone who has gotten ripped off by this company to file a complaint thier Bank, GoDaddy (that's where they are registered), and most importantly, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.

Misleading Service + Poor Customer Service

This company is not to be trusted. Like many other users, I was misled by their advertising themselves as Claude on Google. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the service—whatever AI they are using is extremely limited in the media it can process, and outputs poor responses. Yesterday, April 29th, I was automatically billed $41.04 CAD for one month of their Pro service without any warning that the free trial was about to end. I have sent several emails requesting a refund. As per the refund policy of their parent platform, paddle.net, as a Canadian, I reserve the right to cancel any digital subscription-based service within 7 days of being charged. Any response from Chatbot App and Paddle's customer service so far has been automated, and does not honour the refund policy of Paddle. This is highly distressing. I would like to resolve this matter amicably and promptly, but if I cannot, I will be escalating this to my financial institution.

Money grabbing scam

We chose not to use it after demoing it for a while. Then they did not notify me before a subscription renewal came up. They renewed me for another year even though we were not using it. Then within minutes I sent them an email asking for a refund and I canceled the subscription. They refused the refund saying that I had not tried to get a refund within 3 days of my initial purchase which was one year before. So even though I'm not using the system and even though I've canceled the subscription they will not give a refund. I feel like a fish with a hook in its mouth. Congratulations you got me your business stinks.

deserves ZERO stars

UPDATE: after I posted this review they did provide a full refund. They said “we don’t usually do this but…” I’m sorry? You don’t usually honor your own T&C? Weird thing to put in writing. But ok. Happy to have my money back, this service is a total scam.

deserves ZERO stars. They buy ad space above anthropic and use the name Claude in their URL. I thought I was on Claude. it also sucks. cant read a photo, word doc or anything. it also is just not smart. I emailed to cancel since i was within the 3 day period and they said since i sent 20 messages i wasn't eligible. Their policy says 20 messages OR 3 days. It had been 2 hours. I will have my bank charge this back. Thank goodness I used my VISA.

Very poor experience

Very poor experience. I requested a refund within the stated policy timeframe and followed the required conditions, including the limit on messages sent. Despite sending more than one email to support, I have not received any reply.

They use google to drive traffic from…

They use google to drive traffic from searches for athropic to get to people signed for their crap system. It was throttled repeatedly and could not remember anything. I had to constantly restart a new chart for the project I was working on. i sent $20 for 3 days before I realized this wasn't what I wanted. They denied me the refund in the end. The good news is I started using anthropic and I love it. I get the L for not paying attention and they get L for just being scummy and poor system.

This company is sad

This company is sad. I tried to get it to create graphics for me and it gave me everything but what I asked for! example: I asked for a graduation word graphic and it gave me a picture of someone I did not even know! Total garbage

Total garbage, like all the real human reviews on TP, I was duped thinking this was for Claude, their icon is basically the same as OpenAI, but I wasn’t paying close attention that this was not OpenAI or Claude.

The real proof was the output, absolutely trash responses, I was thinking it was Anthropic’s poor product as I was also using my free version of ChatGPT to compare quality of responses and I was shocked how poorly “Claude” was doing.

What actually is happening is that Chabot.app must be throttling the level of AI you get for each AI platform. So if you need very basic AI then I guess it’s good. If you need professional level AI do not use this and pay a little more and get the real product.

No support

This app somehow managed to spoof Chatgbt when I was signing up for what I thought was Chatgbt. On discovering that, I tried in vane to get hold of them to cancel my subscription. No joy. I then tried to find a way to use the app and can to this day not find a reason for the existence of this app, other than to spoof others. I tried to get support, no chance. In adding this review, there is a warning that many fake reviews have been removed, I would wager that many of those fake reviews were actual reviews??

Can’t cancel plan. Can’t reach support.

I have been trying to cancel my trial for several days now. I have zero desire to use this product.

1) because like many people have said it seemingly presented itself to be something it is not.

2) because I have reached out to nearly every official support channel / email address multiple times and have yet to receive a response.

Like others have noted, their practices are opaque to the point of being a scam. If this is a legitimate company I need someone to get back to me and confirm that my plan can be canceled. Currently, the site is telling me to manage my plan on my mobile device, when — you guessed it — I’m on my mobile device. Basically there isn’t a way to cancel once you are locked in. I seriously do not know what to do other than go to my credit card company.

Accidentally subscribed - Site misleads

Accidentally subscribed. Requested cancellation within 2h. Request denied on account of having 20 chats. I made the mistake of signing up, thinking it was the real Claude, only to realize later that I had been misled. When I asked for a refund, they refused, claiming I had used the service too much.
