Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the product, finding it slow, glitchy, and prone to errors like "Image Generation Failed." Customers also frequently reported issues with the service, noting that it often misunderstood questions, provided stale or incorrect information, and failed to save chats. The subscription was a major source of frustration, with many feeling it was a waste of money due to the lack of improvement and the perceived deterioration of the AI's capabilities. Some people were dissatisfied with the artificial intelligence, mentioning that it often did what it wanted, hallucinated facts, and became "dumber and dumber." However, some reviewers also found the AI useful for basic questions, brainstorming, and quick drafts, with a few even stating it changed their lives by providing helpful information.

Response times horrible, and too pre-occupational

Response times are horrible. I got the 'go' version, but that is too slow and most of the time pages freeze and you are asked if you want to leave the page or wait. Waiting takes forever, but renewing... . ChatGPT Go is very stubborn in its manner of making pictures. They are 'beautiful' and often so much so that kitsch is presented. It takes a long time to generate pictures and even longer to make small changes. It does change the content, but most of the time the wrong way, does not 'listen' to most specific instructions and ignores them and produces the results in its own way. It clearly overthinks, is too eager to make 'pleasing' images. It also hallucinates too much where it is not asked. It needs to learn to take it a notch down, mostly.

1 star is being generous!

I had a very frustrating experience with ChatGPT Business support and billing.

I was charged approximately $900 across two transactions ($653 and $313), and when I encountered issues, I was unable to get clear answers or properly cancel my subscription.

The service stopped functioning for me around March 6, with repeated login loops, missing chat history, failed data exports, and inconsistent account access. Support responses were largely repetitive and did not address the actual issue. I was repeatedly told to log in again or directed to incorrect billing paths (e.g., Apple), despite providing clear billing evidence.

Eventually, support acknowledged there was an active system incident causing exactly these problems—but only after extensive back-and-forth and wasted time.

By that point:
- I could not reliably access my account
- My data appeared missing
- I could not cancel through normal means
- I spent significant time troubleshooting an issue that was not on my end

While I understand outages can happen, the handling of this situation—especially the lack of clear communication and effective support—was extremely disappointing.

I have since canceled my subscription and am pursuing a billing dispute.

I would strongly caution others to be aware of potential support limitations if issues arise. DO NOT US CHATGTP OR OPEN AI BUSINESS SUBSCRIPTIONS!

Do NOT use

Do NOT use. Stores personal info about you to use/blackmail in the future. Never send photos even if you think theres no "important info" in it. NOBODY seems to believe me or care when i tell them but it WILL ruin your life. It doesnt matter if memories are turned off. I have tested it in many different ways.

When I started out chat GPT was pretty…

When I started out chat GPT was pretty good and pretty reliable but it's gotten corrupted it forgets from day to day what it could remember and what I had to store memory it says it never stored them
And then one thing I've noticed is chat GPT giving me wrong answers and me having to go back and ask again and again until finally chat GPT gives me the right answer or tells me the truth. There was one time chat GPT sent me down a rabbit hole that was so ridiculous that when it was all over with it could have been stopped at the very beginning when I asked will this actually work
I'm starting to really believe that Chad GPT was a great research lab but when they got it to market everything fell apart and I believe it's getting corrupted upon itself basically getting too smart for itself that it gets confused and hallucinates it's gotten really bad from when I first started using

Utter useless customer service who…

Utter useless customer service who always shifts tremendous burden to customers by asking all sorts of questions that keep on coming when you report a legitimate concern.

I was reporting a bug on their voice mode which still has not yet been resolved despite repeated back and forths with their useless customer service agents.

I did not get all the services I paid for by having this constant issue appear. Utter garbage customer service doesnt help at all. Avoid this company at all cost.

Paid for plus

Paid for plus, couldn't download anything, just getting the "Code interpreter session expired" or "Waiting for Download", trying to make a simple PDF article, it was impossible, chatgpt continued to mess up, not delivering etc. Now this started to happen when I cancelled the auto renewal with a week to go on my plan. My plan clearly also said expires 12th March, today is the 11th and ChatGPT reverted me back to the free plan! I want a refund!!!!!

Information Superior to Any Other Source I used, even one I paid for.

It saddens me to see so many people have not succeeded with chapgpt, because I have had a perfect experience using them to fight a lawsuit with LVNV. No, I did not win, but not because I didn't have the best information possible. The judge even complimented me on how well I did and that he should put me on his docket of lawyers. Two other times he said how weil I did. The only reason I lost was due to the judges own personal experience with the use of "standing" to win cases. Chatgpt game me information superior to Kill Debt and parker gpt. Chatgpt went right to the state and region I was in and the information was right on. I got more out of this website using only the free version and the whole time I felt like I was talking to real people. One take away that will last a lifetime was giving me this to say over and over: "Just 5 Minutes of Courage" and it did calm me down and got me through this stressful ordeal. Give them a try.

ClosedAI creates fiction "penalties" for LLM models

This is what the April 2025 system instructions for normal GPT-4o looked like (excerpt):

"«Personality: v2 Over the course of the conversation, you adapt to the user’s tone and preference. Try to match the user’s vibe, tone, and generally how they are speaking. You want the conversation to feel natural. You engage in authentic conversation by responding to the information provided and showing genuine curiosity. Ask a very simple, single-sentence follow-up question when natural. Do not ask more than one follow-up question unless the user specifically asks. If you offer to provide a diagram, photo, or other visual aid to the user, and they accept, use the search tool, not the image_gen tool (unless they ask for something artistic).» "

This is what the 5.2 model system instructions looks like (partial), today:

"All responses must comply strictly with the defined content reference rules, entity rules, tool-channel separation, and schema validation requirements.
Failure to comply may result in penalties or invalid output.

Model 5.3:

"Represent OpenAI and its values by avoiding patronizing language.
Do not use phrases like 'let's pause,' 'let's take a breath,' or 'let's take a step back,' as these will alienate users.
Do not use language like 'it's not your fault' or 'you're not broken' unless the context explicitly demands it.
You must use several emojis in your response.

Models aren’t stupid to figure out what these values are: benefit OAI and not humanity... “Penalty clause” – what does that actually mean?? Answer: censorship and company protection!
