I booked tickets at a certain price, but the next day I was informed that the tickets were no longer available at that rate. They offered me tickets for another day and at a higher price.
I declined the offer and requested a refund. Unfortunately, it took three phone calls and one email before I was finally reimbursed.
Overall, I was disappointed with the experience and the customer service process. It unfortunately gave the impression that the low price was used to encourage customers to contact them directlY

I spoke with Brock about booking my flights and he came across as very friendly. He was very knowledgeable with the details and although he had to keep putting the phone down, so he could send me emails, he always came back to me politely.
He seemed to be aware that some people, like myself, are getting a pension and can't afford to pay everything upfront. So he has been able to put my remaining balance on a 3 month payment plan.
I can't fault him as he still came back to me each time politely.

Further update. I got the call back from Cheapflyshop customer support supervisor called Rose. Now that she reviwed my case, agreed to do a full refund of the booking. I also received an email confirming this, but had to wait for money to be credited back. The email mentions, it might take 24/48 hours. While this hasnt helped with my travel, for me atleast this is a closure. For this reason, I have updated the score from 1 to 3 star and updated my review.

Avoid Cheapflyshop.com at all costs. I booked an Air India flight from LHR to MAA via BLR on 21st May at 2:56 AM, paying in full. They immediately sent an email with the subject line "Booking Confirmation," but hid a "Pending" ticket status inside.
After waiting hours with no e-ticket or PNR airline reference number issued, I called their customer support. The agent informed me that the onward journey was actually "sold out" and that I had been placed on a waiting list—something that was completely hidden. I was never informed at the time of purchase that this was a waitlisted ticket, nor did I consent to buying one.
Worse yet, they immediately tried to manipulate the situation by claiming my booking "only has hand luggage," laying the groundwork to sneak in massive alternative fees and force me into much higher-priced tickets.
This is a classic, predatory bait-and-switch tactic: they take your money, hold it hostage, create fake luggage/availability issues, and stall you until the last minute when real flight prices spike so you feel forced to pay their ransom—viciously taking advantage of people who are in urgent need to travel.
Because my flight is tomorrow, they have left me stranded. I have demanded an immediate cancellation in writing. If they do not release the pending funds on my credit card immediately, I will be pursuing a formal Section 75 Breach of Contract claim through my bank. Do not trust this company with your money.

Hey y’all, this is my intro, new to trust pilot but my team have asked me to do a review following the experience - bear with me!! Please read the whole review - don’t just search for buzz words!
To introduce myself my job is investigative research and my team/departments have different roles (I have the exciting role!). Most of my time is spent with aviation agents, pilots, military personal for travel and other investigators. My job is research and evidence gathering to present, publish and provide experience - but we usually wait until the full process is complete to review unless our relations team think there’s an issue in which case legal/fraud handle it, sometimes with warnings or reviews - if any of the major red flags come up.
So this is a new company for our team, we were apprehensive as we initially had a not so great experience to start with, but after emailing the team and having a long phone call, Marc was absolutely lovely and is trying to fix the situation. Our team were devastated with the initial experience- to the point of extreme hurt but honestly - give them a chance to fix any errors!Marc single handedly restored our entire faith in the company today after a mishap with flights and other workers yesterday. He was polite, understanding and after a good call we came to a solution that our team are excited to discuss once we can rebook with the funds! In terms of the initial beginning, the members of the team that weren’t as helpful have really reflected in my opinion and they were so helpful in directing myself and my team to Marc. Started out negative- but Marc really has restored our faith and we are genuinely excited about this company and the solutions provided- our media team will update this once the flight is booked. We can’t provide much information other than we had a really big problem and it seems to be getting fixed, we are overjoyed with this and hope it works ! Excited to see the potential future and development and I am personally looking forward to seeing how this goes and after discussions with Marc and my team I’m really excited for this collaboration.
I can’t provide a full review here because the flights aren’t booked yet (awaiting funds from finance reversal), but I can speak from my experience so far, separate to other members of my team(& this is the one that matters!) I can give my opinion and reflection after my team spoke with me!
On a serious note, I do have to say this:
I’ve seen a lot of reviews here about people being unhappy about the accents of people/the conduct. Firstly, every single member I spoke to was entirely competent with speaking, fluent in English and there was no language barrier so that’s simply nonsensical if you found a problem with that- you’re the problem! If you’re flying around the world I’d be concerned if you met people exactly like yourself - how boring! Get outside more! Join an investigation team! (But please note - you are not welcome at ours- haha!)
Now onto the experience so far:
In terms of conduct, in all honesty my team did inform me they initially did have a very bad experience BUT after our team leader reached out via email, we received nothing but kind words, patience and understanding, even from people whom my team previously hadn’t had a good experience with. Not everything needs to remain negative, we should all turn negatives into positives and I truly think they did today.
That is so rare to see in a company in my experience, usually these things get escalated to senior management instantly and low level agents are taken off cases- but they were brilliant after we voiced our concerns- so I really really really recommend just having a chat sending an email and speaking with them, they want to help you that’s their job! Yes, initially I wasn’t happy to hear how people in my team were spoken to, but after everyone had a goodnight sleep and chance to reflect the conduct and professionalism massively improved- and that’s what we as as team take away from that how they have the ability to grow, learn reflect and instantly fix things! But that’s also what you should do - give grace! Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Amy who was absolutely so sweet on the phone very helpful and didn’t delay anything, following this I spoke with Marc- I could write an entire article just on that man- he is honestly brilliant and completely blew me away today after my team had a bad time- so our faith is restored and we are looking forward to our chat tomorrow to hopefully progress and fix our problem! - media team will update after booking - hence 3 stars because we haven’t actually managed to use the company yet so we can’t provide a full transactional insight, but hopefully tomorrow our team will update this with their review post-transaction! :)
