Love this app, so easy to make money, just buy your gift card before going to the shop to make it a little easier, then scan at checkout. A quick tip also is to take a screenshot of your gift card, then you can just scan from your photos! No need for WI-FI or Data in store! Great app and really helpful customer service team.
I have been using the app a little while now. You can earn cashback with some companies by linking your bank account or others you can purchase prepaid vouchers. Cashback rates are competitive, sometimes Cheddar has the best rate, other times other cashback apps have better rates but that's to be expected. It's a great app which is very user friendly and I would definitely recommend.

Brilliant cashback app with loads of offers available from places that I actually use. Their customer service is really good, responsive and knowledgeable. They were mega quick to resolve an issue I had with voucher for Uber even though the problem was on Uber side.

I have been using the app now for over a month and find this is the best app for buying e gift vouchers with discount. I especially like that vouchers when purchased are available instantly and the open banking linkage makes purchase effortless. Being able to add vouchers to Apple wallet is a feature I value.

I have used many reward apps. But none come close to the user experience cheddar provides. Cashbacks are instant and the process is quite straightforward.

There are a few things that can be improved but I think those will be solved as the app matures.

After several failed attempts, I got brilliant speedy resolution. It transpired fault was not with Cheddar. Dealt with by email eith really human touch. Good job.

Cannot fault this company. Stumbled upon it and by making normal day-to-day purchases I've accrued cashback that is more than a few pennies! Also really helpful when issues with the giftcards have happened

Wow. What an app. Easy to use. Safe. Intuitive. And best of all real savings. Once you start buying gift cards to use at a retailer you are about to go to… the cashback is incredible.

Still waiting for them to respond and refund me the £50 the owe me. I paid for a £50 Asda voucher in November. Which I still haven't received, the voucher they sent me had a balance of £0

Initially sceptical about the app, but have continued to use Cheddar successfully for about 3 months.

The app is easy to use and finally there is a search bar which makes finding retailers easier. The new gift card method takes some time getting used to but the instant cashback is a welcome upside.

My disappointment with Cheddar is with the customer support and actually gaining access to any means of contacting the company. The app makes you go through many links just to find a form to fill in and the website is no different.

On one occasion of using the app I was in the process of completing a £50 gift card order and everything seemed like it had worked, however the Cheddar app never provided my gift card. The issue occurred on 12/12/2024 and we are now into the new year and still I have not received my money back or any communication from the company.

To everyone using the app, be very cautious when making a large purchase.

11/04/24 Update:
The latest update to the Cheddar app has brought many positive user interface improvements, however there are still some parts that need attention.

There still isn't a way for you to remove old payment requests, when speaking to customer service they said it is possible, but still I have not found a way.

Since my original review I have not found any improvement in the overall speed or competencey of the Cheddar customer service team.

I wasn't so sure of this app, however, I tried it a couple of times, and I did get cash back instantly.
However, I always forget to buy gift cards and use them, I wish there was an option that detects your location in partner stores and it gives you a reminder to use it.
