We recently used Chris James Building Services for work on our home after a recommendation from a relative who had used them in the past. The works we had completed were for both inside and outside our property and involved different trades.
We received great communication from Chris throughout the process and a clear competitive quote. The works were completed to a high standard by tradesmen who were polite, friendly and respectful of our home. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Chris and his team.

Has some minor stud walls installed. They were on time and speedy. Left everything clean at end of everyday. Kept me up to date on progress and informed of one v minor delay of a day with plastering. Finish is good quality and I have had no issues at all with work. Will use again if I ever need any building work done.

Really quick, lads were pleasant, and a good price. They did a fab job!

Conservatory/kitchen renovation

Highly recommend Chris and his team. Chris and all his team are highly skilled professionals. They take pride in their work and were friendly and polite throughout the duration of the build. Their workmanship is top quality, and nothing is too much to ask. We changed our minds a few times during the build and Chris and his team were always happy to oblige. Always left clean and tidy at the end of the day. Chris always ensured there was as little disruption as possible and always communicated progress of the build positively.

Very competitive pricing. Definitely worth getting a quote and discussing your options with Chris and his team.

This is the second time we have engaged Chris James Building Services. The first time was for a large extension to the ground floor and they did a first class job then, meeting all our expectations …and above and beyond. Once we knew we had another job on the horizon, we had no reservations about asking Chris to do the job. His team are always polite, respectful, and at the end of every day left the site tidy and clean….. and bearing in mind this most recent job was inside our home, these things were really key to ensuring a potentially painful job was anything but. The crew went above and beyond in ensuring we could still get on with living in our house and even manufactured a ramp to enable us to get over wet concrete to get up the stairs to bed at night. No jumping a great divide for us, for which we will always be grateful !!
No hesitation in recommending Chris James Building Services and when and if we have other work, Chris will get the call again.

Highly recommended building company. Carried out a first class job on my garage extension. Really happy with everything done by Chris James and his Team, professional, punctual, reliable, perfectionists says it all. Nothing was too much trouble and I was kept informed throughout the whole project. Great value- 10/10 from me 😊

Chris and his team did a garage conversion, knock through and kitchen extension for us in Jan/Feb. From start to finish he was consistently professional, conscientious and hard working. He project- managed the other tradesmen perfectly. Everyone turned up as and when required and their workmanship was equally as good as Chris's.
Chris has a very calming personality and was so easy to deal with. He was never fazed by our clueless questions and was so helpful with his advice on things like flooring etc.
We have had so many comments from other people (including in the trade) who have been impressed by the quality of the work, from matching brickwork to electrics and plastering.
Nothing was too much trouble for Chris. We always knew who was turning up each day and what work would be done. James, his lovely colleague, was also a pleasure to have around every day. The whole area was left clean and tidy every day before they left and this was a real relief.
We’ve have already recommended Chris a few times and we will definitely be using him again for our next project!!

Chris completed a large extension for us in November and from start to finish he remained consistently professional, conscientious and hard working, project managing the other tradesmen to ensure schedules were started and completed on time. Due to Covid there were blips in the calendar but this was totally out of Chris’s control. Any concerns were promptly addressed and rectified in fact nothing was too much trouble for him. We’ve used Chris a few times before and we’ve always been very happy with his work and would not hesitate in recommending him. He is friendly, completely trustworthy and will always do a good job.
