I made a call yesterday to Churchill on behalf of my mum, who lives in one of their lodges.

We spoke to a lovely customer service agent called Stuart Haines, who was helpful, kind and very pleasant - my mum was very taken with him! - and who handled our queries extremely efficiently.

I am a relative ‘newbie’, having only moved into Charrington Lodge, Oxted, a month ago, but feel I have been here, forever!

Karen, the Sales Manager, was absolutely amazing, throughout the whole buying process! She held my hand and guided me through the very daunting business of buying a property, by myself, since my husband died and was a wonderful calming influence. Everything went very smoothly and I completed in just shy of two weeks, which was incredible. Karen recommended using the services of the downsizing manager and I was so glad I took her up, on this. Heidi, the downsizing manager, arrived an hour after the removal men left at 12.30 and I was unpacked and everything put away, by just after 5.30! Admittedly, I had ‘downsized’, my possessions, knowing I would be moving into an apartment, when I sold my house and my belongings had been in storage!

I am loving my ‘new life’ and I am very appreciative of Karen, for the way the purchase was handled and would definitely recommend Churchill Living.

I moved to Dreton Lodge about 8 months ago and have never felt happier or safer. I can come and go as I please. The lodge manager Debbie is wonderful. She is always smiling and helps us with all our problems or concerns, nothing is too much trouble.

During 2025 my father experienced how easy and straight forwards the overall process with Churchill Living at the Cleves Lodge Development in Haverhill was as he saw his friend and her family enjoy their experience.
After a couple of subsequent meetings and viewings Dad was convinced that was what he wanted to to do too and we were too, so a new chapter was beginning
Alison really helped my Dad along with my sister and I along the path way, Dad felt that the Home Exchange would be the swiftest way to move away from the home my mum and dad had built over 50+ years, that my sister and I had grown up in and his grand children and great grandson had enjoyed growing up.
So... the time had come.
So we all agreed with Dad that it was time for him to start another chapter.
The Home exchange process was absolutely seamless and Alison guided my Dad with CL appointed conveyancers, solicitors and Britannia home movers to take care of all the details, my sister and I are full time working so this was a blessing for us, totally reassuring and well worth the time saving that we did not personally have at this important time. I think the process was about a couple of months as advised, but seemed so much quicker, we were fully supported on the journey..
Dad has been in his lovely new apartment since October 2025 and the Cleves Lodge House Manager 'Starr' has been most helpful on hand when questions arise, always welcoming to our family and friends when visiting..
In December a lovely F&M hamper from Britannia Movers arrived for Dad after he entered in a competition..
Sometimes these decisions to move from a settled home can come at challenging times, but Dad could see that to make this change ahead of his later years and enjoy the moments would be good practice and it has certainly turned out that way, as a family we would recommend that families look at Home Exchange with an open mind because Churchill Living really do look after you.... thank you...

From our first visit to Invicta Lodge, Broadstairs, Lorraine made us feel at home. Carefully explaining everything we needed to know about Churchill living. We looked at lots of different apartments and Mum knew straight away which one she wanted.
Mum decided to take the home exchange route, which went extremely smoothly, with every step being explained to us. Lorraine was quick to get back to us anytime we had a question.
We looked at the apartments in October and Mum moved in last Week. Lorraine and Amy we're on hand to welcome us, they even arranged a lunch for us.
The atmosphere is really happy and relaxed, its like a big family. I feel so more relaxed knowing Mum is living independently, but at the same time has help on hand if she needs it.

We recently moved into the Burlington Lodge at Swanley. We received excellent support from sales representative Dee and the lodge manager Angela. They have greatly helped us in the process of moving into new accommodation and adjusting to our new environment. Dee put our minds at ease at every stage when making the purchase.Angela is always available to assist and advise when we need it.Dee and Angela are a great asset to Churchill Living

At Neville Lodge we have experienced poor levels of heating and water. For the last three weeks hot water to my flat has been intermittent at best. Mostly I am boiling a kettle to get hot water.
Also the front security door has failed and been referred to manufacturer. This is incurring the cost of a security guard when no manager here. I suspect this cost will be put on our bill. All the time it's crisis management. For this privilege we pay £100 PW +

I have lived at Orchard Lodge since June 2023. Bill is the Lodge Manager he is always very kind and helpful and will help to sort out problems. Bill organises quiz every Wednesday afternoon

Having moved into my apartment at Wessex Lodge, Bagshot in June where with the wonderful help of the manager ALEX I felt at home very quickly.
However during the recent very cold spell I found that the only radiator in my room could only raise the room temperature to 19’ recommend 21’.
I contacted Alex who immediately confirmed this and contacted Churchills. Within days a temporary electric radiator was fitted and a Fireplace ordered.
Churchills should be very proud to have a manager like Alex who looks after us so well and is always available to help with problems.

McIndoe Lodge is a lovely property and the manager Julie is always professional and polite. The property is always clean and tidy and I would highly recommend this retirement home to someone looking for a lovely location close to the town centre. James (Green Cleen South East Ltd)

I have been on several short trips over the past year to Eddington Lodge, Kendal and have very much enjoyed life at this lovely lodge with Pamela the lodge manager taking great care of me as well as the all the other residents, and also Alison the sales manager looking after me also, both caring people, looking after me and everybody. We recently moved our mother into a Churchill property and it's no exaggeration to say the experience has been transformative. Moving into a much more manageable home, in a community on the edge of the high street has given her a new lease of life.

Physically the location encourages her to get out more, with an easy walk to the shops, giving her much needed exercise. The apartment is a good size, lovely and warm, and she feels safe with the monitoring and the neighbours. As a community they often meet in the afternoons to play games and talk.

Moving her into this community has definitely exceeded expectations!

The experience of living at Riverain Lodge in Taunton has been outstanding and I’d like to thank Helena, Lodge Manager and Aimee, sales director for their attention to detail, kindness and efficiency in getting things done and always being warm, friendly and helpful. There’s always something going on and Helena and Aimee always very focussed on people as individuals. Thank you

Excellent Christmas buffet, arranged by Lodge Manager Sharon at Peacehaven. Understand that Christmas lunch arranged at local pub was also good as was visit from the children from local school to sing carols (I sadly missed both as we were away.)

I was invited to a Christmas concert in Nottingham and could get there easily by public transport located outside Gilbert Lodge.

I can’t say enough about how lucky we are to have a Manager like Rebecca. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she never makes you feel you are a bother if you have a query.She is very good at putting notices on the board to keep us up to date with what is happening.
I have no regrets about moving into Passfield Lodge as there is such a good social life here if you are unable to go out much.

In our search for a retirement apartment, we met Dee, from Burlington Lodge, Swanley. She was absolutely delightful and made the whole process of retirement living great fun. Dee is also a true professional, with great knowledge of the industry she serves, To sum it all up, she makes people happy and is a pleasure to do business with.

The festive season has arrived here at Mulberry Lodge. Our new Lodge Manager,Emma, with the help of some residents decorated our lounge making us all feel excited about Christmas.
I love living here. it is like being a member of two families……my own and that of Mulberry Lodge. We enjoy each other’s company on a daily basis supporting each other and enjoying various activities organised by Emma or a resident.
Thanks to everyone for making life so enjoyable at Mulberry Lodge particularly Emma.

We’ve been living at Perran Lodge one year now so time to write a review to tell you what we love about it! Who wouldn’t want to live on the sea front with an easy walk to Newquay, near so many beaches and on a bus route. Barrowfields, a lovely, grassy area is between Perran Lodge and the sea, walk along the path and appreciate the fabulous views!
Jayne our Lodge Manager always put the residents at the heart of everything she does, as a result it all runs smoothly! The service charge includes amazingly efficient heating, you can set it to your own needs, water, window cleaning in outside areas to name a few. You may find it more cost effective than your previous home.
We are welcomed to our apartment by everyone, we feel part of it but also independent which is a brilliant combination!
Social events are arranged, a great opportunity to have a chat and a cuppa! However it is totally your choice whether or not you want to take part. I started a Canasta evening as I hadn’t played for 30 years! and we have a few people playing weekly.
Perran Lodge is excellently maintained, the Owners Lounge is beautifully furnished - residents are welcome to use this room - useful for visitors! A terrace to sit out too - all perfect!
The layout of Perran Lodge is really good with a welcome from Jayne at reception, a hair and treatment salon and wonderful apartments throughout the building
So it’s worth a look to find out more about the easier and more relaxed lifestyle at Perran Lodge.
