Great service from my broker Robert

I have had quotes from 3 companies. I was just about to sign with a large European insurer but Robert, my broker from Cigna, gave me a very good final quote. More importantly, he understood my need (coverage for just Italy and my country of birth). He was persistent but never pushy and very very efficient.

I tried to close the policy by email 4 months ago - cigna never answered by continued to take my money without any permission , could never log into their wonder website so now I will start a legal responce

Fast sign up and great service

I had a very positive experience with…

I had a very positive experience with Cigna Global, especially thanks to Sarah Ann.
She was extremely helpful, responsive, and took the time to clearly explain all available options for my policy adjustment. The whole process of reviewing and modifying my plan was smooth and straightforward, and I really appreciated her transparency and efficiency.
It’s not always easy to navigate international health insurance, but Sarah made it simple and stress-free.

I'm too fat and suicidal to be insured

So I called to apply for insurance. I went through a long conversation with John Bean who was rushing through all of the steps. After I get through it, he says he was going to wait for feedback on whether I could be insured, and when checking said I was instantly declined for - in his words - "suicidal ideation" that I was treated for over 12 years ago. I though that was bizarre. I hung up because that's kind of rude and annoying. Anyway, he called back when he got to someone in the department, and said in fact no, I was denied because I'm too fat to be insured. Oh I'm sorry, I mean the corporate speak way they put it. I have too high of a BMI to be insurable. Absolutely disgusting company.

Know what you are getting "READ" the policy..

I had CIGNA Global for about 5 yrs as a benefit with an international firm i was with in the middle east. very good. no issues.

For three years i have had them solo/individual policy.

overall good. So many factors. Say you are an expat living int he Philippines will you be traveling much will you need the global coverage and the cost. Their Close Care was a good idea in that it is only valid in where you reside (retire, work, ect) and you home nationality.

the premium goes down somewhat but so does the coverage considerably. example: Global silver $10,000 for any outpatient, daypatient or inpatient MRI, CAT or PET.

$2500 for Close Care for advanced imagine. just because you travel less does not mean you need LESS financial coverage in the one country you are in.

So it pays up to $500,000 for the surgery, medical, ect but then limits advance imaging to this amount. a serious accident and you (depending on the country your are in) go WAY past $2500 for 2 or 3 MRI, CAT ect.

paying their bills they do a good job. i can not say over about 10 claims in 3 years there being an issue with playing "legal talk" with medical definitions ect.

Customer Service is mostly horrible. days and days to get an email response. If you get Dubai or London you are OK for the most part communicating. I think there is another office in Indonesia (maybe Malaysia).

75% of the time you simply can not understand them and very frustrating when you are dealing with a medical issue and medical terms. more than once i had to hang up and "hope" if i call back the english proficiency will get better with the next person.

They have paid their bills when appropriate. Overall a 4 of 5.

I cannot thank Cigna insurance enough…

I cannot thank Cigna insurance enough for helping us obtain a medical insurance for my father. He is 81 years old and we were finding it extremely stressful and exhausting to obtain insurance here in Malta.

Cammy dealt with us from the start go. As soon as we contacted Cigna from their site for a quote Cammy was in contact with us on the same day.

He made our experience very painless and non stressful.

Extremely professional in his work and even after we received the policy he was there for any questions replying to us within minutes.

I recommend Cigna most definitely and if you have the pleasure to be assisted by Cammy you won’t be disappointed.

Gordon Barr, my account handler made the discussion about my policy really easy to understand. He did a great job of making all the options clear to me. He was also friendly and nice to talk to. So good to be able to talk to a real person! Would definitely recommend!
