Absolutely useless insurance. Do NOT trust health and safety of your family to these dinosaurs. The only option they have is their CITY bank, that fails to make a payment 6+ months. I gave them bank account credentials in local US, UK, EU (SEPA), Turkey, Georgia, Canada banks. Everything failed at their side. They have no idea about Revolut, WISE, PayPal. They stuck in 2000s with their CITY bank.
I would forget this $130 claim, if this was not about the health insurance. It must work like a swiss watch. But it does not.

My wife and I have had Cigna Individual Expat Health Insurance for two years. In the first year, my wife suffered a serious illness that required brain surgery. Cigna paid every peso owed with no hassle, and they did so quickly. Having wrestled with American health insurance companies for the last 50 years, this was a pleasant surprise.
Aside from the insurance itself, our account manager Gavin Mendes has been amazing! He's been with us since the day we signed up and has helped with the renewals. Gavin is friendly, competent, and dependable. When he says that he will follow up, you will receive a follow up—no question about it.

Cigna Global wil never pay claims for ER visits
My monthly premium is $296 per month with Cigna Global for a zero-deductible international health insurance plan.
Recently, I had a genuine medical emergency at Bangkok Hospital. After ER evaluation and testing, I was diagnosed with a kidney stone. I was treated with medication and discharged the same day. The total hospital bill was approximately 10,000 THB.
Cigna denied the claim on the basis that I was classified as “outpatient” because I was not admitted overnight.
During enrollment, I was explicitly told by the agent (in writing) that emergency room visits would be covered. However, after submitting the claim, I was informed that only inpatient hospitalization is covered under my policy.
At no point during the sales process was it made clear that an ER visit would only be covered if I stayed overnight. Had I known this, I could have requested admission for observation , which would have resulted in a significantly higher hospital bill. I find this structure confusing and misleading. An emergency room visit is, by definition, an emergency. It should not depend on whether a patient remains in the hospital past midnight.
Prospective customers should carefully review whether their policy includes outpatient and ER coverage before purchasing.
I wrote to Cigna that I intend to pursue formal legal remedies regarding the denial of my claim.
I requested the following information below, and 3 time they refused to provide it.

Please advise, pursuant to my policy, the following:
1. The governing law applicable to my policy.
2. The designated legal jurisdiction and forum for dispute resolution.
3. The legal entity issuing my policy and its registered address.
