it is 2025, this company is still asking for you to email PDFs with bank routing numbers for claims, and not a secure app. They have a very poor onboarding process for the newly insured. Feels expensive for the quality of customer service so far. Just found out they no longer have a direct relationship with the medical unit we have been using for the past 5 months, making the insurance more difficult to use.

Efficiency and great support
I requested the assistance of my account manager, Sarah Ann Fagan, to obtain a certificate for the French administration, and she was extremely efficient. In fact, every time I need her help, the team is always very responsive and supportive. I truly appreciate their excellent service.
Cigna has been endlessly delayingmy reimbursement
Cigna has been endlessly delaying a simple reimbursement claim for my emergency hospitalisation, despite their own portal repeatedly showing that they owe me the full amount and that I owe nothing. I was explicitly promised in chat and by email that the claim would be processed within 5 days, then within 10 days, yet each deadline passed with no payment and only vague excuses about “internal review” and “finance team” issues. They even blamed the currency, although they had already converted the bill and entered the euro amount in their system. Overall, I feel misled, ignored, and left without support at a time when I most needed my health insurer to act quickly and honestly.

Profit Over Customer Care
When attempting to bring the policy to an and as its no longer neccessary, Discover I have been misled that policies are not in fact monthly but yearly and dispite the fact that no credit checking or debt assessment is done. I am now obligated to pay out the remainder of the years contract. For no benifit to myself.
For reference I have made a small claim that is less than monies already paid in premiums, And yet the refuse to release my obligation. I also offer to repay the claims given, but still this is unacceptable.
They care only to squeeze as much money from you as possible with no care of compassion.
They have offered to amend the policy to reduce parties and increase cost sharing, which brings down the amount of money I have to pay for no benifit.
Also they have 0 coverage in west Canada so any claims will have to be paid out of pocket. Dispite whatever you might be told when being sold.
Finally they don't actually have a pre authorisation process. any time I asked about specific potential appopoints I was just refered to my policy documents and essential told pay up front then find out if we will cover you later.
Do not expect them to be any help or care for you. The only thing I can say is perhaps all health insurers are the same.

I needed to change my policy so that I had a new certificate of one years insurance for an application for a french visa.
I feel extremely lucky to have ended up dealing with an account handler as professional and attentive as Gordon Barr.
He went above and beyond to change my policy at the last minute the day before my appointment with TLS Contact.
Mr Barr and some of his admin team even stayed late to ensure everything was completed and ready for me to print.
