The credit card division flagged a…

The credit card division flagged a recurring payment to you tube tv as a fraudulent site. They blanked out all the screens in the house. Google thinks I'm the scammer and has locked me out for 7 days. Citizens told me to resubmit the recurring payment which you tube tv says they can not do. This is not the first time , they declined a payment for airline tickets because that was a so called fraudulent charge. Don't trust this company to process their credit cards. Your credit rating is to important to play games with this company! They broke it and refuse to fix it. This card is worthless and never works for an on line purchase.

Citizens One: The Worst Loan System Ever.

Citizens One has the worst loan system I have ever seen, online or offline, and I worked in collections for a number of years. I am not exaggerating. Their different internal departments do not share computer systems so if you must call them, you have to give them the same information every time you call. If you have to be transferred to another department, you have to repeat the information. They do no make good faith attempts to contact customers to alert them to problems on accounts.

When a problem is rectified, the department that corrects the issue only sends data over to the reporting department ONCE A MONTH. The department that notifies customers of corrected accounts isn't the same as the department that responds to credit requests, so it can take over a month to clear the account with their internal reporting system.

For example: I had my autopay credit card stolen. When the new card was received, I logged onto my account which didn't show a balance, much less an unpaid balance. I assumed it was paid and never received a single contact from Citizens. I only found out I owed the last two payments when I went to upgrade my iPhone. I called Citizens on the phone number they provided in their email saying I was denied. After waiting on hold, I found out that department doesn't actually handle denied iPhone loans and was given another phone number for the recovery department. I called, but they were closed and only work 8 hours a day M-F. I called back the next day and was told the email they send probably got blocked by my incoming mail server and they make no other attempts to contact clients. They don't make phone calls and don't send snail mail. The lack of info on my account screen was because it had transferred departments and recovery doesn't have any way for a customer to view their account except by phone. I paid the $79 (!!!) and was told to reapply for the iPhone upgrade in a couple of days. After numerous attempts over two weeks, I was told it actually takes 30 days. 34 days later and it's still not cleared despite numerous phone calls.

In short, Citizens won't notify customers if something happens with autopay and then won't update their internal issues for over a month, keeping customers from upgrading their iPhones.

This is the worse company I have ever…

This is the worse company I have ever dealt with. The collections department specifically is hideous. They lie about previous payment arrangements made with previous reps when it comes time to make the payment. Will lie and say no notes in the system about arrangements. Usually you have to make a payment through a rep if you’re delinquent as it will not allow you to make a payment online or through the phone system - horrible tactic to get you to speak with a rep! The hold times especially on the weekends are just ridiculous! This company needs to shut down! I spoke with three reps in the collections department today who refuses to take my payment that I was instructed to make today by a rep / supervisor on yesterdays call!

Shysters

WoW! what a bunch of shysters! Trying to make early payments, and the flow of lies that came from the help center was amazing. "You can't pay early it against the law", "this early payment went to principal....(my response: but there was interest taken out).... well most of it went to the principal."
Just goes on and on. Convinced they want out of the loan, because the rate is (2.4%) so low. But it is compounded daily. Do not go with them. Go with your local credit union, so much more ethical.

If I could give them 0 stars I would

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I called because they paid the wrong property tax bill and sat on hold for almost an hour when a representative finally answered to tell me she had to get a "tax person" on the phone Was put on hold for another half hour when a recording came on and said they couldn't take my call to try back again later and hung up. Worst company to deal with...worse than AT&T!

We had a car loan for a new car that was purchased in March time frame. At the end of June we paid the loan off in full. In July I recieved a bill that showed 0.00 Principle Balance. I then received a formal letter stating that our loan has been paid in full. In late Oct, I recieved a new bill for 33.95. Called the customer care team who was unwilling to help figure out why I have a balance. Had to argue with her to let me speak to a manager. After her telling me she can only put in a request to speak to a manager I told her that was not good enough. 10 minutes later she found somebody but was on hold for 20 minutes. He was unwilling to help as well. When I asked to speak to his manager, he lied and said he didn't have one, and calling him out on his BLATENT lie, he hung up. Now I am calling back as the other person on the loan to start this absured process all over. All for 39.00 bill that is in error on their end.... WILL NEVER SIGN A LOAN WITH CITIZENS ONE AGAIN. Would give negative stars IF POSSIBLE, and if I don't have succesfull resolution of this issue I will be calling BBB and filling a formal scam report.

The most painless personal loan experience ever

Citizens One approved me for a $50k loan the next day after I applied, and I had money in the bank the day after. The APR was 8.73%, lower than all the competitors (I applied to all of these): SoFi, Upgrade, Upstart, Earnest, plus LendingClub and LightStream, which decided to reject my application.

Citizens One pros:
* no originaton fee (looking at you, Lending Club and Upgrade)
* very fast approval - next day
* no unreasonable verifications
* streamlined application process

One minor con:
* the online application process could use some improvement - documents didn't show up immediately after uploading, and the application status lagged behind reality

But really, nothing to complain. This is what I wish the experience with other loan providers was like.
