Did not ship order, Customer Service is abysmmal
Sold me over $350 worth of car parts online. Did not send all the items and DID NOT have a packing list. I tried to work with customer service, who are hard to reach and promised to look into but never heard back after FIVE queries. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!
Magnum 500 wheels
I received 4 magnum 500 wheels not even a week ago. When they arrived they looked fine. But on the outside of the boxes it said Made in China. NO where on the website did they say they were made in China. Also stamped on the inside China. Very misleading. I know many items are made there but should be specified. So disappointed. I would even pay more for made in USA.
Really bad experience buying from CJ…
Really bad experience buying from CJ PONY PARTS. The customer service is terrible.
I bought an item, they sent to another state and when I called them to ask my refund they said it wasn’t with them. I should search for an extend shipping warranty and figure it out myself. Long history short: lose my money and never saw the item !

This place is pathetic
This place is pathetic. I paid just shy of 500.00 for intake filters and clear covers. They said 7-10 days shipping. They took my money right away. When I inquired 2 weeks later they said it would be another 2-3 weeks before it was shipped. These people lie and very u professional. They need to be honest about shipping times. NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE, buy elsewhere. It takes another 10 days to get a refund.
CJ Pony Parts Violates Section 5 of the FTC
STATEMENT of FACT
CJ Pony Parts is in Violation of FTC Section 5 (Unfair or Deceptive Acts or Practices)
I am writing this detailed review to document what I believe constitutes clear violations of Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act, which prohibits unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce. Deceptive practices include misrepresentations (express or implied) of material facts, as well as omissions of key information that would mislead a reasonable consumer and influence their purchase decision.
While I could provide numerous examples from my orders, I will focus on two specific cases to demonstrate a pattern of misleading advertising and non-disclosure.
Misrepresentation of Kit Contents and Pricing (Door Panel Kit – Stock # DPK3B) I ordered the Interior Door Black Kit for 1973-1979 Ford F-100 (Stock # DPK3B) advertised at $333. This was presented as a complete kit with all necessary components for both driver and passenger door panels. However:
My order confirmation and invoice show Stock # DPS28 at only $169 (for what appears to be individual door panels or a partial component).
The order lists nine separate line items with different stock numbers—none matching DPK3B or totaling $333.
I did not order these individual items; I purchased one kit.
This discrepancy misrepresents what was delivered and paid for. When I contacted customer service, the response was essentially, "This is just how we send out kits—we don't ship everything together." This does not excuse the failure to disclose that the "kit" would be broken into separate shipments, partial fulfillments, or different stock numbers on the invoice. A reasonable consumer expects a "kit" advertised under one stock number and price to arrive as a cohesive unit with matching documentation—especially for restoration projects where accurate records affect resale value and reputation.
Failure to Disclose Backorder Status and Separate Shipping for Kit Components (Sun Visor Kit Example) In a recent order for a sun visor kit (advertised and sold as a complete kit), the main visors shipped promptly via one carrier (e.g., FedEx Ground), but the included hardware (screws, washers, etc.) was on backorder and shipped separately later via another carrier (e.g., USPS). CJ Pony Parts did not disclose this backorder or split-shipping arrangement before I placed the order—or even at checkout. I only learned of it after the fact, causing significant delays in my restoration project. Time is money in these projects, and piecemeal arrivals make it unrealistic to match hardware correctly without extensive sorting across multiple boxes from different vendors.
Why This Violates FTCSection 5 Section 5 prohibits deceptive acts or practices, including:
Misrepresentations of material facts (e.g., implying a complete, unified kit via stock number and pricing).
Omissions of material information (e.g., failing to disclose backorders, split shipments, or that "kits" may not ship as one unit or under the advertised stock number).
These omissions create a misleading impression about product availability, completeness, and delivery—facts material to a restoration buyer's decision. Had these details been disclosed upfront, I would not have purchased from CJ Pony Parts. The FTC evaluates claims from the perspective of a reasonable consumer and holds companies accountable for what ads do not say when it misleads.
This pattern appears systematic: advertising "kits" to boost sales appeal and conversions, while relying on post-purchase explanations to justify incomplete or delayed fulfillment. Customer service attitudes ("this is just how we do it") do not cure the deception.
These practices have caused me:
Financial loss (project delays = lost time/opportunity).
Added stress and effort sorting mismatched shipments.
Potential harm to my reputation when selling restored vehicles (invoices won't match advertised kit prices/contents).
Avoid at all costs
Shipped me 2 boxes of parts, neither of which had any of the items I ordered. Now they want me to pay for the shipping to send them back. They refuse to send me return labels unless I can give them a list of what was shipped to me. I don't know what was sent to me, there isn't a packing slip in either box and there are over 2 dozen parts. I shouldn't have to provide a detailed list to correct your mistake. That should be your problem when the box arrives back, not the customers problem. No other companies do business this way. I have never had an issue returning something that was the shippers error.
Do not use these scammers
Do not use these scammers! I ordered a part for my Mustang, took forever but finally received it. Unfortunately they shipped the wrong part. Their customer service is so bad it is laughable. This was THEIR error but I have to get a refund. send the part back ON MY DIME, then order the correct part yet again. No thanks. I wish I had done a few google searches first and saw how horrible their customer service is and how low quality their parts are. RUN AWAY!!!!!
Do not order anything from this…
Do not order anything from this company. They want email you back and you can't get customer service on the phone if you have a problem. Been 3 weeks and still haven't had any updates on my cold case radiator.
Cjpony parts read my review on trust pilot and gave me a email to help me with my problem and they still want reply after I emailed them

Fraud
I tried to do business with this company today and my bank declined them stating that the company was unsafe. When I asked the company to send me some information about themselves they transferred me to another person who refused to send me any information about them. When I told them if they refuse to do that I was not going to do business with them he became irate and I hung up on them. They have since called me three more times harassing me. I'm so glad my bank declined them and I locked my account from them. After reading these reviews I'm so thankful my bank declined them and I will look elsewhere for my part.

So so
Great selection of part. Good delivery time, and usually ahead of stated delivery date. Having said that, if your delivered item is defective, expect to pay shipping to return it. If you realize after placing an order that you ordered the wrong item, don’t expect the online “cancel item “ to work. Call them right and verbally cancel the order because they tell you they “drop ship “ items, and online cancellation doesn’t work.
ATTN CJ PONY PARTS
ATTN CJ PONY PARTS: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE SO FAR!!
Eleven days ago I ordered a power front disc brake kit for my 1965, 6cyl Ford Mustang. The invoice number is 77469452. My installer started the install yesterday. He completed the left front install. When he went to start the right front, he found that the sealed plastic bag with the wheel bearings inside, was missing the wheel bearing grease seal.
I called your company yesterday and the parts department said they would ship me the seal overnight. About an hour later I got an email describing the part that was shipped, I saw that he had sent the wrong seal. He sent a seal for a V8 brake kit. My kit was for a V6. The seal he sent will not work.
I called back and spoke to the same parts employee. He said that he could not get the seal that I needed. I asked that someone go get the seal from a kit because my installer was half way through the install and my car was tying up his bay. He said that he would transfer me to customer service. I was then on hold for 40 minutes only to be disconnected around 5:45 pm. I immediately called back and never got anyone to answer my call, well after 5PM.
Today I called back to customer service and spoke to a Tyree. He said that he would see what he could do and would put me on hold. I pleaded with him to please call me back if we got disconnected and he said he had my phone number and would call me if we got disconnected. He put me on hold for over a half an hour.
I finally hung up and called back. Got Tyree again. He said that he emailed a tech and that he (Tyree) was going to send me an email with his findings, once he heard back from the tech. HE DIDN’T EVEN CHECK ON ME WHILE ON HOLD FOR OVER A HALF HOUR OR CALL ME BACK AS PROMISED.
Tyree then told me that he did not have a number for me to call the corporate office for help. I asked him to walk down the hall and get a supervisor. He said he worked remotely and was not at the office. He said that he could transfer me to a “Lead” who worked at the warehouse. He put me on hold again and after half an hour of holding, I just gave up and hung up. Once again Tyree did not even bother to check back with me.
PLEASE, all I need is the grease seal that was not shipped in the specific kit that I ordered. We cannot complete the install and we cannot drive the car until we receive that seal.
I need someone at the warehouse to open a kit, get that solid black, approximately 2” grease seal, that comes in the specific kit that I ordered and overnight it to me today. PLEASE CALL ME ASAP AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO TO HELP ME!

CJ sucks
CJ sucks. I own a restoration shop and have used them on and off for ten years.
They have completely turned into a garbage, almost scammy company. Don’t even look at what’s on their website… you’ll regret trying to buy from them.

Tried to order a dist.
Tried to order a dist made the order with shipping location then they emailed me a couple of days later saying they wont ship to a separate address. If that was the case why allow me to choose a separate ship location. Then the real issue starts customer service is the worst. You cannot talk to anyone as they never answer the phone they only send you the same email over and over. Should have read trust pilot 1st before trying these guys. I am a auto repair shop trying to order parts for repair ending up losing 4 days.

I wouldn't waste my time with CJPony
I wouldn't waste my time with CJPony. I want to be honest here. As an international buyer of Mustang parts, it's not easy to deal with the sellers or parts companies in USA and CJPP makes life too difficult for us buyers. I've been buying from them for a while now and can see their customer service and advice going downhill and becoming so bad. On parts they always do have what I need, though some are of a poorer quality than other suppliers. Also International shipping is way too crazily expensive and when you question them why others charge 1/3rd of what CJ charges, they have no proper answer. That means they do not know the freight or shipping costs market as much. Thanks to CJPP, you've lost one international customer

Ordered a door skin for a 65 Chevy C10
Ordered a door skin for a 65 Chevy C10. It wasn't curved correctly to match my door. When I explained the problem, they told me I needed to do work to correct it. When I told them they make and sell complete doors that are shaped right, they should know how to bend the door skin to match they told me I could return it. Paid 155.00 for the door skin, costs over 160.00 to ship it back. Never again...
