5 stars ✨ no question!

I moved personal belongings from the USA to Scotland after a 5-year work assignment and circumstances being kept everything in storage for almost 2 years. As such, I had to engage with the Clark & Rose team in Aberdeen about billing and ultimately delivering my goods.

Staff were excellent, they were responsive and informative, always. Team delivering and unloading my belongings were on the same plane, they, too were excellent, very professional but with a friendly touch, they were very careful and went out of their way to ensure I was happy with where they placed everything.

An altogether excellent customer experience!

I’ll most definitely engage Clark & Rose in the future should a move be on the cards.

Clark & Rose great again

We used Clark & Rose again for our recent move. The staff were polite, quick and helpful and took great care of our belongings. Office staff efficient and great to deal with too.

Disaster from day 1

Due to arrive day prior to moving to pack, didn’t show despite being promised they were on route, causing huge stress. At 5pm phone call to say they weren’t coming and would be with us first thing in morning, the day of completion. I was two hours late from handing over keys due to this causing me undue stress! However I can not fault the group who turned up to do the packing.
To date I still have not had my belongings and they cannot provide me with a date, could be as much as a further 4-6 weeks, this is since 2 May 2025.
My belongings missed their original shipping date, allegedly due to the freight companies transport breaking down which Clark and Rose are taking no responsibility for despite my contract being with them. I have been in my new home in Canada since beginning of June with no belongings!

Dear Mrs Kelsey,

Thank you for your review and apologies again for the issue on day one of your move. I believe that my colleague Andrew called to explain the circumstances – namely, that there was a delay on the crew’s previous job caused by problems with solicitors and the exchange of keys for that client’s property, this meant that the crew were unable to start your packing in the afternoon as hoped. Whilst not our fault, and certainly not yours, he mentioned that you were understanding and we greatly appreciate your consideration of the position we had been put in. We are of course extremely sorry that it impacted on you and for any additional stress but delighted to hear that you couldn’t fault our team, which we supplemented with an additional crew member to ensure that your move was completed in reasonable time on the second day.

On the day that your groupage shipment was due to load at our warehouse for Canada the shipping line’s haulier’s vehicle broke down. As a result, they were unable to position the shipping container for our crew to load with your effects. Loading was rescheduled, which meant that it missed the original sailing however this was not down to inaction on our part but due to vessel cut off dates and space restrictions on the following ship, a consequence of current global shipping conditions - making this a situation very much out with our control. The many elements of an international move are underpinned by people, machines and systems interacting – all of course are fallible, and when things do veer off course it is possible that it’s not necessarily anyone’s fault. Nor might any of the parties necessarily be accountable for rectifying the consequences if what gave rise to them is not pertinent to the agreement. Whilst frustrating, delays in international shipping are, I’m afraid, reasonably common which is why transit times are not guaranteed and any that are discussed are indicative only. We will always do our best to make things run to plan, work around problems and take responsibility for our errors, but it is difficult to shoulder unwanted situations resulting from elements that are quite simply unaccountable, and may just be down to bad luck.

We are working with our Canadian partner to do what we can to get the shipment to you as quickly as possible and ideally within the indicative timeframe mentioned in our quotation - a period that still has a number of weeks left to run. When it is delivered, we hope that you may feel more positively about our services and perhaps reconsider your single star rating. Until then, we are sorry to hear how you feel and apologies again for any frustration at the delay however caused.

Clark and Rose Bedfordshire

We used Clark and Rose for our house move and they have been so professional, I would definitely recommend them.
The movers on the day were so careful with our property and very efficient. They were all really polite and friendly people.
Before leaving they asked us to go around the property with them and point out any boxes that needed to be moved so that we would find it easier to unpack or put up the bed frames etc. No boxes needed to be moved as they had been considerate placing them the first time.
I would definitely use this company again if we were to move and will recommend them to anyone that asks about our move.

Stole an item and don't deny it, but won't return it

Massively pissed off with Clarke and Rose. They stole a mug from my possessions. They clearly have absolutely no respect for me or my belongings because multiple staff members have just laughed at me when I have asked for it back, clearly implying it's of so little monetary value that it is irrelevant to them. They have admitted they use it in their site kitchen, and despite my repeated asking in person, on the phone, by email, they won't return the mug. They don't deny they have it, they just have zero interest in returning my item. I should mention that there were breakages and damage in the move as well. As an organisation they lack respect for the belongings of people they move and I would never use them again, or recommend anyone else uses them either.

RESPONSE TO THE BELOW: No I won't remove the "allegation" because it's true. The crews confirmed to me they knew exactly the mug I was talking about. It was the mug that I had served tea to your crew in and they failed to return to me at the end of the day. They described the precise mug. I thought the mug was inside the storage container where it had been set down during the removal process and assumed it was safely in store, although in an unorthodox manner, so it was only when they told me it was being used in your site kitchen that I discovered it was not being delivered with the rest of my possessions. This was DURING the delivery so don't give me 7-day limit, it was raised on the day! The fact that you describe the circumstances of the theft incorrectly here is absolute proof that you have failed to listen or respond at any time when I have contacted you.

Furthermore it is an absolute lie that you have phoned me and told me anything. My emails have gone without response other than "thanks for enquiring, we'll look into it." I was told when I phoned you that you would look into it and you made no further effort to contact me to give me any information at all. This new story about "similar mugs" is brand new and something you've added here to try and pretend you have looked into it when you haven't. It's very implausible because it was a very distinctive mug, one of a set that is now incomplete.

Maybe I put too much trust in your crews to return the mug, maybe I should have raised this on some official form - but your terms and conditions are very clear I wouldn't get anything for a low value item anyway. The point remains that the mug was taken, and it would have been really easy for someone to return the mug to me - you know perfectly well how close I am to your site - but you just couldn't be bothered to even respond to me when I repeatedly asked for it. However you did email me on multiple occasions asking for a Trustpilot review and so now I've given my honest opinion of why I would never trust Clarke and Rose again, and why I wouldn't recommend them. That's perfectly fair and reasonable.It is a perfect indication of the Clarke & Rose approach to customer service that every contact when I was being polite and friendly and not public was totally ignored, and you're only interested in talking to me at all about this now there's a public review.

Thanks, think there may be major misunderstanding here. We delivered your goods which were owner packed (i.e we didn't pack the mug into a carton) on 29th April. On 4th June we had query about missing mug (against a 7 day limit to notify any losses). Despite that we said we would check. We told you on 11th June our checks had not thrown up anything. When the cartons were collected on 13th June you mentioned it to the crew who said there were mugs LIKE IT at the depot and they would check. They did, and while we had similar mugs, we didn't have the mug that was said to be missing. We rang and told you that.
Perhaps you would remove your unfounded allegation of theft.

We moved from Scotland to Herefordshire…

We moved from Scotland to Herefordshire last month. It took 3 days packing and then 1 day offloading the following week. The team that moved us (Steve, Kobi, Sean & Callum) were fantastic. They worked so hard and helped ease our stress. The day of moving into the new house we had Steve and Sean and 3 other removal men - who again were very helpful. As everyone knows - moving is so stressful!!
The only downside was we found the head office staff put us under quite a lot of financial pressure when we were trying to sort bank accounts out that we felt was not necessary (5 stars for the workers/3 stars for the office staff).

Excellent service

Every step of the way the company were helpful and communicative. The packing and removal service was first class - the guys were friendly and professional and worked so hard even though we had two of the hottest days! They took perfect care of all my belongings and I would recommend this company very highly.

Exceptional Moving Company

Clark and Rose were excellent. They were professional and excelled my expectations. Both Colin and Alan put us at ease and moved us from England to Scotland. They kept us informed the next day when they delivered all our belongings to a storage facility. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Well organised from uplift to delivery.

Easy, well organised, efficiently packed, uplifted and delivered to two addresses. Including the sub-contracted delivery company in the Channel islands. I cannot name anyone for exceptional service as all, packing, transporting and delivering staff were without exception first class.
