Terrible company .i specifically said I wanted to keep my existing number and they sent a new sim and new number , saying it’s what I ordered. They said I need to re order again . I just cancelled the lot . Stay clear of them
No problem at all
No problem at all. All 5 in family were with vodafone and the bill even with family plan was about 180 a month. Waited til all out of contract and my wife was first to move to clear mobile. No need to unlock phone as clear uses vodafone network. All worked perfectly. Popped in new sim and restarted phone. The only small issue was that they were 2 hours late moving the account but that was no real problem as phone still worked under vodafone. Will be moving rest of family in next few weeks..in case its relevant we are in a rural area near the sea outside of cork city..

If I could give this a no STAR, I would. Network is very, very patchy. Today the network is out, I cannot call or receive calls. Last week I could not get into my account as the code would not text to the mobile number I was with them with (laughable). Then, when I did get into my account 24+ hours later, I could not download my bill. At the weekend I travelled down to Co Laois for the Forest Fest with my 5g network and 5G phone...I could not get call anyone...or contact anyone. I was in the UK in June, and it took just under 2 hours to connect to the Clear network. Mobile was again patchy and could not connect Whattsapp calls and I could not use maps, it was so frustrating.DON'T go to this network if you like pulling your hair out, I am only with them since April, I am leaving asap!!!
Absolutely shambolic operation
Absolutely shambolic operation. I clearly requested that I keep my existing number when switching. They sent me a sim and a new number. Their online chat support said they could not resolve the issue and if I wanted to switch and keep my number, I had to apply again. Why would I pay twice and how could I trust them pull the same trick again? It's clear from the complaints here, they do this a lot.
Clear Mobile is a disgrace.
Your website is broken. I can't make a payment, I can't navigate. Customer support is non-existent. I have defaulted, on my loans becuase your payment portal is broken. I hate you and your company. If you are reading this, please do not use this service. They stink.
A happy former 3 customer
As a former 3 customer of 15+ years I can't understand all the hate around Clear Mobile. Everything works as it should for a very reasonable price. I even brought over my old number which again was completed without drama. Give them a go and find out for yourself.

When I signed up I asked to keep my number. I received a SIM and a new number, customer service is rubbish and their website stinks with some of the links not working

Absolutely dreadful. I wish I had never heard of Clearmobile. I went to Baku and was disconnected, they sent me a text with some links none of them worked. I contacted them and they said they would send a correct link but that would not connect either. I have just arrived in Prague and I am in precisely the same trouble.

Absolutely useless if you live along the border. No roaming on uk networks anymore .was great until that was removed earlier this year.
Any particular reason they can't use Vodafone uk network?

AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE
When you're about to sign up, it seems like a great deal — if you're short on money, paying just €15 a month for unlimited data sounds amazing. But please, don't even think about joining this company. Every two or three months, they hit you with double the amount you're supposed to pay, claiming it’s because you didn’t pay on time — even though your card is saved as the payment method and has money in it.
It’s honestly the worst company I’ve ever dealt with, both in Spain and in Ireland. I wish I’d never come across them.
On top of that, sometimes the service just doesn’t work and you’re left with no internet.
AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE.
I truly hope someone ends up reporting them for the shady stuff they do and the whole thing comes crashing down

Would not recommend this network provider. I went with this provider as they work off the Vodafone network which I had been with but paying 3 times the price so I thought why not. Useless, terrible coverage, endless texts about missed calls hours after the calls were made. Nightmare when waiting on confirmation codes from websites as the code would expire long before the text would be received. Internet would not work abroad either, tried everything, useless. The image I have of this company is a bunch of people trying to figure out which wire connects to what. Pros - cheap.

they genuinely are the single biggest scammers in the mobile industry right now, the only system that works is the automatic billing, their site is a joke, their customer support is dire and they refused to cancel my sim or release my number for MONTHS

I had a tricky problem with a sim going into a modem. The sim was perfect in my phone, but couldn't get internet on the modem. I was on to customer chat line a few times - extremely good, quick to respond, really helpful, solved the issue with my settings on the modem. Super service.

Very poor experience from start to finish. From problems with the initial setup, to billing errors, website payment problems, and nonexistent customer service, all the way to leaving, this company fails at every step. Reflects very poorly on the Vodafone brand.
clear mobile provides very unreliable…
clear mobile provides very unreliable coverage, i have spoken to them twice. the first time their suggestions didbn't work, the second time a woman called Shraddha, from the esclation team just told me Ireland and my area have poor coverage. No other help offered and just argues with me that it was Ireland's coverage when i explained i never had this problem before i changered to Clear mobile.

Clear Mobile works very well for my iPhone , IPad and smart tv . When I needed their online support they responded quickly and got the job done . It is a prepay sim deal that you can quit anytime if it does not suit your needs .
Harassing me after leaving 4 years ago..
I left Clear Mobile over 4 years ago with a zero account. In fact I left because of your hopeless customer service and accounting practice.
Yet they continue to send automated emails saying €2.02c is outstanding. It isn't.
Anymore emails and I will consider this harassment.

I have been with Clearmobile for years and have saved a small fortune with them. Never any major issues and I used their online chat function and found it very good.
Stressfully error prone and hard to contact.
I would warn anyone considering Clear Mobile that going with this provider is like treading a minefield. I was with them for three years and recieved spotty coverage at best but stayed due to the relatively low cost. I had seen reviews warning about problems with bills and payments but, as I had not had these issues, I didn't pay it much mind.
Unfortunately that did not stay the case as randomly one day my debit card disappeared from my account and would not register as a valid card anymore. Getting in contact with them was difficult as their contact avenues are few and not easy to find. Their customer care is done exclusively through a permanently engaged chat on their website and I recieved no replies from most of their social media pages. All this time I had an outstanding bill that I couldn't pay and I eventually had to create a Facebook account after learning through word of mouth that this was the best way to contact them. They sent me a verification code that didn't work three different times before they shut off my account completely making it impossible to proceed.
I finally got part of the issue resolved after three months where they suddenly got my card to work again. I paid the bill and immediately switched only to have the billing continue including a reconnection fee. This process took almost a month to resolve as their Facebook page stopped replying before randomly messaging weeks later to say that the reconnection fee would be waived due to it being no error on my part and the outstanding bill after my leaving the network was rescinded as it too was sent in error. This left a final charge of €1.45. I paid this off but recieved an email a couple days later saying that they were sad to see me go but if I didn't pay the €1.45 which I had already paid they would contact a debt collection agency and put the cost on my lap. I presume this was another processing error as the charge on my account is still noted as paid.
This took a total of four months to resolve and no end of stress on my part. Definitely not worth it in the long run. Looking for help online I found a lot of people who had the exact same issue with their card payments, erroneous billing, and contact issues.
Stay away and find a more reputable network. I switched to Eir and have had a much better experience both in phone coverage and customer experience.
