Unfair account suspension and poor verification process

I’m very disappointed with my experience on Clickworker. My account was first approved and marked as active, but shortly after, it was suddenly suspended. They accused me of having multiple accounts, even though I only used one account, just accessed from two devices; my phone and my laptop.
When I tried to verify my identity, they refused my official documents, saying they didn’t meet U.S. guidelines, even though all my documents clearly show the same address and are legally valid in my country. Clickworker is a multinational platform, so I expected more understanding and fairness toward international users.
It’s very discouraging to be permanently suspended for something that was an honest mistake and to have no proper way to appeal or explain. I hope Clickworker improves their support and verification systems so others don’t go through the same.

Absolutely not worth it

Absolutely not worth it. I had to do a lot of research to figure out if this company was a scam or not, the awful reviews should have been a warning. You give them a huge amount of personal data and ID info, get a few surveys here and there that throw pennies at you, then they suddenly suspended my account and asked for another ID and proof of address. I asked why, and they said they don't disclose what triggers these suspensions (looking online this happened to a lot of people). I sent my residency card, as it has identity proof without too much sensitive information, and they claimed it wasn't good enough resolution (it's a high resolution scan I use often with government agencies). At this point this is proving not worth it and sketchy, so I asked them to delete my account and data and pay me what I earned. They said no to the last request, I honestly don't care. There are some good platforms out there right now doing real research and interesting tasks, don't bother with this one.

Nothing but criminal wannabes…

First I got registered on their miserable, simple, "website", if you want to call it an official website. Then i downloaded the app, logged in, changed my password and made my user name. After all of that crappie, they actually have it set up where you can't look around or do any research until you fill out everything about yourself including your payment information for direct deposit. So I filled everything out and right after I did my deposit information, for one of the stupidest reasons, they just suspended me out of the blue. RIGHT AFTER THEY RECEIVED MY VANK DEPOSIT INFO! I had to call the bank, close my account at my bank and I cannot open another one until Monday. You cannot talk to support, you have to fill all of this stupid crap out and "submit a ticket". I was up all freaking night SUBMITTING TICKETS just so they would close and delete my account on Clickworker, and then send me verification it was closed. I even had to call my lawyer and wake him up. These criminals dont even deserve 1 stupid star

Terrible experience with Clickworker

Terrible experience with Clickworker. A warning to anyone deciding to work with them. They will withhold your funds for no reason at all. I worked on their platform for a few months doing their hitapps tirelessly and made over $600. Then they suspended my account when I requested payout. Clickworker support is dishonest and they will try anything in the book to come up with an excuse not to pay you. They still haven't paid me for the time and effort I invested working for them, a lesson learned the hard way. Their business practices are very shady.

Worst experience

Worst experience! I created the account by mistake because I didn't know I had created the other account the other year, I never worked on the account that was created first, when I go through my email, I find that the account was suspended immediately after creating it. It could be a concern I had created 2 accounts and work on them and expecting payment twice but in my case it's very different. You should improve on that!!!

Poor Customer Support

I strongly do not recommend Clickworker. Their communication was dismissive and unprofessional, and the way my concerns were handled felt rude and disrespectful. I felt undervalued as a user, and their tone throughout the process was completely unacceptable.

While the platform may technically offer freelance opportunities, the lack of basic respect and proper support makes it impossible for me to continue using it. I have requested that my account and all personal information be permanently deleted — something I should never have had to fight for.

Waste of time!

Account was blocked immediately after creating account. It was in the FAQ that this is "normal" and I had to open a ticket to support who then asked me a copy of my ID and bank account details to be sent by email, sounds like a scam to me.

Lots of Work, Little Pay, Frustrating Experience

I’ve been using ClickWorker since November 2024, and my experience has been frustrating and disappointing. The platform offers a variety of microtasks, but many jobs are rejected without clear explanation, and some completed tasks show $0 payment despite the effort required.

Technical issues have repeatedly prevented me from completing certain tasks, such as recording phrases in French or scanning government IDs that lack NFC. Support has been unhelpful, often redirecting responsibility to the client rather than resolving the issues.

I invested significant effort completing my profile, submitting writing samples, and logging in daily, yet the financial return has been minimal and inconsistent. Tasks that are completed sometimes aren’t compensated, and others pay very little compared to the effort required.

Payment also has restrictions and fees. You must accumulate at least $10 to be eligible for payout, and additional fees apply for withdrawing funds to your ClickWorker wallet, PayPal, or bank account, which further reduces your earnings. Activity points can be earned, but they aren’t redeemable yet, so they don’t currently contribute to income.

While ClickWorker offers occasional opportunities, the combination of rejected work, technical barriers, unhelpful support, and payment restrictions makes it very difficult to reliably earn money.

Unfair Permanent Suspension

I had been working honestly on Clickworker when they suddenly permanently suspended my account, accusing me of having multiple accounts. I have never created or used more than one account, yet they didn’t give me a proper explanation.

I reached out to their support team, but all I received were automated responses. When I asked for a real person to review my case, nothing was resolved. It feels like they are quick to block workers without proper investigation and keep the money for pending tasks.

This was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I cannot recommend Clickworker to anyone, as they lack transparency and fair treatment of workers.

Long awkward setup process, extremely low pay, questionable data privacy

My experience was that the initial setup was slow and cumbersome, but worse, that the small tasks offered consume far too much time for the miniscule amount of pay rewarded. To participate in UHRS-provided tasks, you will be required to agree to an NDA. Furthermore, most other partners require you to agree to their invasive privacy policies or otherwise you cannot participate in their tasks (such as surveys, or playing games, etc.). Sometimes you begin the surveys, but then are abruptly filtered out and rejected based on demographics (this valid filtering should occur before, not after, the survey is begun). There are grammar errors and spelling errors frequently both on the native website and on the endorsed partner websites/content. It looked so promising: a remote work opportunity doing a variety of small-scale tasks like filling in surveys, training AI, and even playtesting videogames. But the reality I experienced was a major disappointment. The quality of the surveys is poor and unprofessional, from what I experienced. It is not the same quality of questionaire or survey as a typical focus group possesses. The pay is abysmal, too low to be of practical value. A few tasks look appealing when they offer $5 or $10, but the amount of time these tasks require is unreasonable in my opinion. Other tasks offered are literally a few cents (i.e. $0.03) or even a fraction of a cent. I suggest you do the math and calculate if it's worth your time. And some of the surveys, which I deliberately avoided or cancelled, ask questions that I feel uncomfortable answering due to privacy concerns. I suspect those surveys which I deliberately avoided asked even more pervasive questions that what I encountered. Unfortunately, I would not suggest or recommend Clickworkers to anyone. Perhaps they will improve their services and offerings/options in the future, but as they currently stand, I would grade this as a substandard low-quality platform that promises much but delivers very little if actually anything of real value.

The UHRS requirement that the participant should agree to an NDA before they are allowed to proceed is part of UHRS management prerogative to ensure that the sensitive UHRS information are legally protected.

If you think that the privacy policy of a certain task contains terms that are invasive, you may disagree to the policy and close the job right away.

Tried to sign up and was blocked from the site forever

I created an account and was adding info to it when I was kicked out and told the account was suspended.

I received an email saying I needed to provide documents to prove my identity, which is fine, pretty standard practice. So I uploaded my driver's license, an electric bill, and my SSN.

Not even 15 minutes later I get an email back saying I was "investigated" and they have "reasonable doubt" on the validity of my identity. And that I was not to contact them again or try to re-register.

lmao what? I've never have this kind of response from a company before. Absolutely insane. I'm not sure if this was a legit case of whoever looked at my info actually thought it was fake (I received no explanation on what was apparently wrong either) or if they are downsizing and using this as an excuse to not accept new contractors?

Either way, very bad experience and hours of my time wasted.

Account banned after honest work – No payment given



I worked on a task and completed it correctly, earning 6.5 EUR. But my account was permanently suspended because I had created a second account out of curiosity – which I never used for any work.

Clickworker refused to reactivate my main account or pay me for my completed task. They claimed the work was of no value, even though I followed all instructions and submitted the result properly.

I was not warned, and I was not given any chance to fix the issue. I understand the need for rules, but this feels like unfair treatment for someone who made a minor mistake without bad intent.

If you’re planning to invest time on this platform, be very careful. Even a small technicality can cost you your money and access.

I was an honest Clickworker user grinding through surveys and micro‑tasks, only to hit their €10 payout threshold and then *poof* my account was suspended and permanently closed without warning. After dealing with held‑back payments and technical glitches, they ghosted me the moment I tried to cash out.

They claimed my documents were “insufficient” but never explained *what* was wrong or gave me a chance to fix anything. Then they threatened to seize any future balance if I dared to re‑register. Meanwhile, all the work I did “has no value to their clients” and is discarded. That’s wage theft by any other name.

Save yourself the hassle. If you actually want to get paid for your time and effort, look elsewhere. Clickworker is quick to take your labor and slow to pay it out, then bans you when you ask for what you earned.
