FIRST DAY
This was the worst place I have ever been for a holiday. First things first, the staff are all rude and have no hospitality skills at all. We arrived on 22nd Sep at 9am, and was told check in was at 5pm, they did not even say ‘Hello’, they just told us to go chill until the room is ready, additionally they never asked for our passports (which is literally their job to check us in, not us to remind them, which is what happened). We checked in around 6pm, to a dark and dismal room, THIS PLACE IS NOT 4 STARS, it is barely 2 stars!! The staff did not even direct us to our room, he said, “I do not know where 373 is!” This was just the first few hours in of our 1 week holiday.
FOOD
The evening food was shambolic and bland. It was a set menu with only 3 veg options(the pasta had no taste) and only one starter option. It was more sad than hospital food. The breakfast was the same, only a few options and the woman working there was ill-mannered, as she told us we are coming too breakfast too late (10am) even though it finishes at 10:30am. None of these workers have manners or customer service skills.
THE APARTMENT
Everyday something went wrong! Water was the biggest issue. My sister and I were showering in both showers when they fully both turned off, whilst us both having shampoo on our head and had to wait 1hr and 30mins for it to turn back on and be only Luke warm. Then, the next day after that the water was just cold and we had to have freezing cold showers for 2 days and ruined our evening plans. Then it got worse as the water was off on Sat 27th sep from 9am to 3pm, meaning everyone in the complex was emptying the Bowels on top of other peoples feces. This was the most disgusting thing and there was no apology given by any staff member. Middle management were the worst people I have ever met. After the water came on, it smelt and was flowing incorrectly, it was gushing out. Nothing calm or relaxing about this place.
I believe that the water was turning off constantly because there is a construction site at this apartment complex.
We asked for our water to be turned on before we went to the beach.
By the time we came back from the beach at 6pm the water was still off.
We called reception and spoke to Diane.
Diane said that we left the 'Do not disturb sign on'. Ok - fair enough. However, Diane mentioned the maintenance man would need to come into our room to turn the water on.
The maintenance man came. He did not take one foot step into our apartment, which meant the water could have been turned on before! ,
Not to mention; all the bin lids were broken, the fridge stunk of sewage, the draw on the vanity was broken, the lamps did not work, there was limescale in the kettle, the broom was disgusting and old and there was an ant infestation outside everywhere.
Overall, this felt like a waste of our money and was not the holiday we intended to have. The Staff and the facilities of the apartment need to be changed, it is awful!
I am not happy at all, we have all come back with ill and I demand compensation for this.
