Our story begins in the year 2000, when we became one of the first ever retailers to offer eyewear online. The lenses (which are the 2nd pair now)…

The lenses (which are the 2nd pair now) are difficult to see things clearly. I am heading to my eye Dr and hopefully they will be able to get me lenses. I not happy.

Although they couldn’t fulfill my whole…

Although they couldn’t fulfill my whole order, I believe that the contacts that I use had a delay with the manufacturer, Costal was in contact with me every step of the way. I am happy with the 1 box ( per eye) that I did receive. I tried to order 4 boxes for each eye. I’m hoping the contacts I need are available soon.

I'm not as happy with this pair of…

I'm not as happy with this pair of glasses from Coastal.com as I have in the past. The fit and lenses aren't as spot on as before.

Online notifications are confused and contradictory.

Although I ultimately received my lenses as ordered, online notifications were quite wonky.

If the "estimated" arrival time could be twice as long (4 weeks rather than 2 weeks) as what is specified for processing AND shipping, then this should be stated clearly website *before* a shipping time is chosen.

It took 5 messages for customer service staff to understand this (although they did give me a discount once they understood). I also received 3 backorder notifications--the 3rd sent the same day that my lenses had actually shipped, telling me that they would be on backorder until 10/18 (the day the lenses actually arrived, 3 weeks after ordering).

This was my first time buying contact…

This was my first time buying contact lenses from a third party. Truth be told I am not currently paying for insurance but in the past I had been prescribed contact lenses from my optometrist. Keep this in mind.

After providing my contact lens prescription to coastal (your optometrist will email you upon request and is required by law to do so) they noticed that my prescription had expired a year ago. Here's the best part - according to federal law: just google ftc contact lenses (no links allowed in reviews)
They will automatically verify your prescription within 8 business hours if the doctor is unresponsive to the request.

So as long as you have a previous contact lens prescription you're good to go and buy contacts at great discounted rates.

I received my contact lenses in the mail a few days after ordering and they arrived without issue. The customer service is very responsive and I emailed them a half dozen times with questions which they promptly answered.
