DON'T EVER RENT SOMETHING WITH THEM!

Putting zero star not being an option, I had to put one star. My experience with Coliving.com was hell. I booked an individual room in a so-called coliving space selected by coliving.com in Mexico, but the place had not been checked and I ended up :
- sleeping 4 hours a night because of the noise of the place with ear plugs and noise canceling cellphones on, while the description on coliving.com mentioned a quiet place to work;
- in a room facing the toilet in a building with no water for several days some time (I let you imagine the smell);
- in a place with absolutely not a inch of a coliving spirit;
- facing homophobic comment by a member of the staff of the place;
- not being able to complete my stay (if the host did suggest me to move to another of its location, while making a homophobic comment, doing so, they moved me, notably for noise's raisons, without telling me the new place had a nightclub within that literally made my bed shake until 4 a.m.).

Obvioulsy coliving.com did not take any responsibility in any of this (as they still don't do it in their answer), never accepted to pay me back a cent nor condemn the attitude of the host. The CEO of the company even had the good taste of asking me "what are you going to do about it?", and simply advise me to write a poor comment on the host. Thus, they first asked to host to modify its description before removing it from their website, but still without taking any responsibility. For his part, the host suggested me to write a nice comment on them to authorize to move me to another location.

if you want a piece of advise, coliving spaces are created everywhere. you can find these places from Facebook groups, directly online, or asking around at much better prices than the one coliving.com is offering.

EDIT 8th of April:
After such a terrible experience that I documented with photos, videos, audio recording sent by mail to Coliving.com, I thought they would remove me automatically from their newsletter, but no. I answer to the same mail, and the CEO asked me genuinely why I wished to be removed because my name "didn't ring any bells to him". I sent between 100 to 150 mails to them since march 2022, so it gives an idea on how shocked they were about the problems I faced with the host and them.

I booked a room for 1800 USD, which turned out to have mold in it. A mold inspector declared the room to be in an unliveable condition. I arranged to move out with the landlord, but it took about a month to get my money back.

I had to cancel my coliving stay becausee it did not live up to the description on the website. I reached out to coliving's customer support after the stipulated 24h reporting period, asking if there was anything they could do to help, sending some pictures of the coliving and things that did not match the description. The person I spoke to, Ana, was very quick to respond and very helpful. The only thing I wish could have been done differently was that I asked coliving to not share what I had written to them with the host because I wanted to speak with the host myself first and just wanted advice on how to proceed. Coliving did speak with the host, however, and this led to a conversation where the host told me in no uncertain terms that I was not allowed to stay and had to leave the next day. I believe the fact that coliving reached out to the host before I did soured our relationship to some degree, though the outcome might have been the same either way as the host was not willing to accept a reduced fee for not matching the description. I don't think that coliving offers to find you an equivalent accomodation in case you have to suddenly cancel your stay, like AirBnB would, for instance. This could potentially cause big problems for the person using their services. I also think the 24h reporting period is too short. I was lucky enough to find another accomodation via a different provider and I had some back-up money to pay for it while I waited for the refund, but everyone might not have the same circumstances. With that said, coliving was very helpful and quick during the refund process. I was refunded the full amount, minus the days that I had stayed in the coliving, and minus the fee that the coliving host had initially paid to coliving, according to the (very) fine print that was not immediately obvious during the booking process.

They have a really good service and a long list of places where you can stay. The only thing that I don't like is the fact that you can only pay in USD.
The option to pay in EURO would be a 5 stars for me.

I‘ve send a Request for three possible Condos. Never got any response from the Host even though the Company claims that their will be a response within 48 hours. After a Week all my Request were suddenly deleted.

It is a great solution for finding the right coliving: the selection of hosts is great, there is a wide range of countries to choose from, the description of each coliving is extensive, so we know what we’ll find before we arrive, and in case you need some help with your booking, their customer service is quick and helpful, so I’ll definitely use this website again for my future bookings!

I stayed at Bali Bustle for a month and I loved it. I met some amazing people and made good connections. The staff were super friendly. I would definitely stay here for my next visit.

I tried to reserve a few places in Seattle on Coliving, which redirect me to Bungalow.com. The rent shown on Coliving does not match the one on Bungalow.com - there is a significant premium for a short-term lease which doesn't show on Coliving. This is just discouraging when you only try to find a short-term lease. I tried to reach out to customer service on Coliving but never got a reply. Seems like they just run the website in auto-pilot. I ended up didn't use Coliving, instead finding a short-term sublet in a facebook group.
