There’s no talking to Talktalk. There’s none as deaf as those who don’t want to hear

I am under contract with Talktalk for two more months. They have just informed me that the NEXT payment will increase by £12. I have tried to contact them, using the published telephone number, but they just brush me off and refer me to their ai assistant. When will these companies learn that air is not an acceptable substitute for a human being. So, I shall cancel my subscription, after 25 years with the company under various of their names, and sign with another company that takes customer relations seriously. Be aware that Talktalk is an incompetent company, and it will end in tears.

Worst telecommunications company ever!

Terrible provider, use at your peril, like I did! I signed up to one of their offers in 2023 and right from the start the service was poor. After numerous complaints & various excuses I finally had enough & cancelled their appalling service at the end of 2024. Last Christmas I was told that I had not actually stopped using TalkTalk, which simply wasn't true! Anyway, they started sending me many malicious & harrassing emails from February onwards. I referred them to the Communications ombudsman, in the end I paid them the £72 that they consistently demanded to get them off my back as it wasn't worth my while timewise to fight it further!

I believe this site is probably legitimate

I've subsequently been contacted buy someone from the talk talk team to resolve this issue. I've updated my review score to be neutral as the issue remains but I appreciated the follow up call to clarify.

My previous review is as follows.

If this is a legitimate site, you need to have a serious think about your cyber security as the experience for me as a customer was so poor I still don't know if I've just allowed some random person on the internet access to my account. I was then asked to wait 3 days while they look into it, which adds to the concern.

I was locked out of my account after being migrated from Shell. I ended up on this site to try and get access. I was refused any way to legitimise this site, there's nothing on trust pilot to suggest otherwise either.

During Security questioning they asked me to verify my name, account number, which I did, they then asked for my email so they could send a verification code. I gave them a partially redacted answer and asked them to verify from that, they refused.

This makes no sense.
I've already verified who I am, I need to verify I can access a verification code sent to that account, that's it, potentially confirm where to send that to which I did.
I know my email, talktalk would know my email, a scammer wouldn't. The fact this request was refused was concerning.

I eventually managed to gather enough information from other sites that it seemed likely it was a legitimate chat so I continued.

Throughout the whole process not only was I not given any reassurance, other than pointless verbal reassurance and a phone number to call (which gives no legitimacy), my attempts to get some were actively refused which was concerning in itself.

Anything would have done, even something simple like an email from the official talk talk domain, instead all email communication came from a different domain, again suspicious.
