We have been struggling with resource guarding with our Boxer and we're at a loss on how to help our pup. Firstly I was impressed that Waggle provided access to Behaviourists and I booked my first session with Junior and came away very impressed with his knowledge. Its early days but the suggestions were easy to put in to practice and I'm looking forward to our second session next week.

We spoke with Junior about our Romanian rescue, who we got in December. Only two and frightened of everything especially the tv or any screens, she refused to come out of the kitchen, other than to go in the garden. After 8 weeks we were desperate, Junior explained why our approach of trying to call and coax her out wasn't working. He gave us excellent advice which started working straight away. A couple of weeks later my scared rescue is sitting on the sofa next to me looking at the TV and relaxed. A huge breakthrough for her which wouldn't have happened without the in depth and knowledgeable advice we received, thank you.

Junior has been supporting me and my stubborn dachshund Pickle for a few years now. He helped me navigate my way though bitey puppyhood, crazed teenage years and tempestuous adulthood of my beloved dog. Everything he ever asked me to do worked. He was the one who validated my worries about my dogs allergies, helped me find out what was wrong when vets just dismissed me. Junior made me feel like I was not wrong for continuously seeking the solution. Result? My dog is still stubborn, yes, but he is calmer, healthier and happier than he's ever been before. And I understand his needs and his communication so much better, thanks to Junior. If you need help with your pets, you will not find a better option than Companion Animal Wellness.

We've been getting help from Junior Hudson for many years now, covering all aspects of behaviour and nutrition. He has a lot of knowledge that even my vets don't have, and he always comes from a place of compassion to enable me to understand how to be a better communicator and advocate for my dog. As my dog is getting older, it is increasingly important for me to provide better nutritional care for him, and I'm lucky to benefit from Junior's incredible depth of knowledge on all the relevant topics. Sometimes when I'm angry about my dog going against my instructions, Junior helps me understand my dog's world view from his canine perspective better. Overall Junior is an incredible behaviourist and canine health advocate.

We’ve been having regular behaviour sessions with Holly through Companion Animal Wellness since August 2025, and she’s been absolutely wonderful. After trying several behaviourists and trainers to help with our dachshund’s nighttime anxiety, Holly was the first person who really listened and explained everything clearly and scientifically. Her patience and understanding made such a difference. After a few months, our dog finally started sleeping through the night - and so did we! We’re now able to focus on other areas of training and are so grateful for Holly’s support.

We've spoken to Laura twice now for behavioural support. She's been extremely kind, helpful and empathetic on both occasions. This is a really great perk for Waggel health insurance and I'd recommend everyone to take advantage of it! They're only 20 minute sessions, but really useful if you just need a quick sense check, reassurance or pointing in the right direction. They're also unlimited so extremely useful for ongoing support as and when you need it.

I was reviewing my terms and conditions due to my puppy having kidney problems and came across this service. My vet had already recommended that I speak to a nutritionist to make sure my puppy gets the healthiest diet possible. Lauren was so knowledgeable and empathetic and helped me decide what to feed her going forwards. Hopefully this will prolong her life.

I think Junior is excellent. He is patient, really understands what your dog’s problems are and gives sensible, helpful advice. He is very supportive and gave me guidance on how to advocate for my dog more too.

It's a great perk for our Waggel pet insurance. Good to know that you can book in with a behaviouralist from time to time if you need a bit of support/guidance with challenging behaviour. We've done two sessions so far and I've got some great ideas for ways to try and work on a few slight behavioural issues. Thanks.

Very informative, gave good advice, didn't make you feel rushed

Our family adopted a rescue dog from Cyprus a few months ago who unfortunately doesn't get on with our elderly cat. Our dog is two and half and likes to be boisterous. I have had two sessions with professionals from Companion Animal Wellness. The first with Laura about our dog requesting support with his behaviour around our cat, and the second with Claire regarding our cat who had started to defaecate in the bathroom or outside her litter tray. The support and advice offered from both Laura and Claire has been brilliant in helping our pets cope better in each other's presence. We cannot fault anything at all and this service, available as part of our policy package with Waggel, is outstanding. A brilliant pet insurance company.

I initially had a couple of nutrition consultations with Junior Hudson through Waggel pet insurance last year. My Lab was experiencing stomach issues and I wasn’t getting very far with vets. Although the problem turned out not to be diet related, Junior was quick to implement a protocol in an attempt to get to the bottom of the issues we were having. I found the information he provided was excellent; so much so, that I reached out to him recently before bringing a new Lab puppy into our home. I wanted to provide our new member of the family with the best nutritional care we could, right from the start, and felt Junior was the person to provide that. I have now had two consultations with him regarding the pup and he was very quick to point out a couple of potential issues that I had overlooked. I have now insured the pup with Waggel and plan to continue working with Junior as and when needed.
An excellent service, would highly recommend to new and experienced dog owners alike.

I’ve had two online chats with Deborah so far to help us with our very cute,but rather barky, princess, Poppy. Deborah has given us so much helpful advice on how to nurture a calmer and less reactive dog.
Poppy is a rescue, and she used to bark quite randomly at people, which made it really difficult to anticipate or manage the situation. It caused me a lot of anxiety, as the last thing I want is for anyone to think my lovely girl is “bad” she’s absolutely delightful, just a little unpredictable at times!
After speaking with Deborah and putting her wonderful tips and action steps into practice, I started to see changes in Poppy’s behaviour within just a couple of days. I can now enjoy our walks together without feeling so stressed, which is such a relief.
