Nick reached out to me after a Reddit post, and we paid a $500 deposit on May 24 to customize a ring based on a reference design. He told us the deposit was refundable.

Timeline:
May 29 – First CAD
June 6 – First diamond appointment( the diamond has brown tint, so we ask to source a new diamond)
June 19 – Second appointment (stone didn’t match our ratio preference that was discussed with Nick beforehand)
July 15 – Third appointment (picked a stone, saw the updated CAD after the first time)
Despite providing multiple reference images , videos and a website link on Day1 , the CAD design never captured key details of the ring and I had to point out the difference multiple times across three revisions, but the design still wasn’t right. At one point, the CAD designer told us they outsource the work to overseas relatives and can generate thousands of CADs a day, which might explain the lack of detail.

Throughout the process, we also dealt with multiple last-minute appointment cancellations, CAD delays, and a two-week closure around July 4, all of which significantly extended the timeline. When we finally asked for a refund, we were told the 30-day refund window had passed, even though that policy was never clearly communicated upfront. I also felt like the business was stringing me along just long enough for the 30-day refund window to expire, while I was working in good faith to find a solution.

I originally shared this experience in a Reddit post, but it was reported and removed after Nick told moderators that his potential customers had chosen not to work with him because of it and that legal action might be pursued.

I’m not posting this to attack anyone , just to share our personal experience so that others can make more informed decisions.

Nick went above and beyond. Extremely knowledgeable and very quick to respond. The whole process was seamless. From the minute, I contacted them to the minute I received the ring in hand. It was about four weeks. Great pricing as well! Would highly recommend.

Where do I even begin? My fiance (now - since Saturday 4/19) and I were talking about going ring shopping. I was completely new to the process and did some research. After finding some inspo on Reddit, I had this lady reached out to me to give me all the details of her ring because it was gorgeous! She recommended Complete Carat (she did not gatekeep!) & within the next week, I hopped on my initial call with Nick and he made my fiance and I feel super comfortable. He did not force us to make a decision quickly, but immediately went to sourcing a stone. Within 24 hours, we made a deposit for my dream ring. Nick hyped us up, was super attentive, sent us the renderings, and sent us photos/videos of the final product. Nick answers all of your questions, provides recommendations, and COMES THROUGH! My goodness!! I didn't get to see the actual ring until the proposal and it was even more beautiful in person!

I'm currently working with him and his team again on a tennis bracelet as well as our wedding bands. That's how much trust I have in their work and quality. Once you work with Nick, you're already considered family! If you've been thinking about reaching out, just DO IT!

Nick from Complete Carat helped me pick an incredible emerald cut diamond for an engagement ring. They have great prices too with a much lower markup than most other places - that being said, their prices are well worth it for the quality, expertise, and help they provide

Nick was awesome! I did extensive research before deciding to go with Nick and Complete Carat. I private messaged tons of people on Reddit who had said they had worked with him and everyone had great things to say, so I made my decision. From start to finish Nick was so easy to work with. He was super responsive at all times. He was forthcoming with info and recommendations and I never once felt like he was just trying to sell me something. He really wanted to help me get what I wanted. The whole process from initial Zoom meeting to finding the diamond to designing what I wanted to arrival at my doorstep was a little over two weeks. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, it was so much easier and more seamless than I had expected since he does everything in house, and my rings are beautiful and my diamonds are stunning. I just received my engagement ring, and I am completely in awe! (It was a replacement to my original ring that was lost) I had my first ring made with a different jeweler and it doesn’t come close to the quality at Complete Carat! I was hesitant to work with them at first but they completely blew us away. Nick was very patient and understanding, he truly made sure everything was exactly the way I wanted it. Super honest review so that people like myself, who were skeptical, can see yet another review of how amazing Nick and the Complete Carat team are.

I posted on Reddit about a ring and Nick actually private messaged me there that he would love to work with me! I was skeptical. I had never heard of Complete Carat and hadn’t really seen much on Reddit about them either. And as we all know, there’s so many scams nowadays! I did some research, looked into Nick and Complete Carat on Reddit and so many people had similar experiences I did, but there were also so many beautiful pieces and reviews. Nick was insanely responsive to all my questions, but I decided to tell him I was going to go with another jeweller I had worked with before.

Fast forward a few months, and I reached out to Nick. That’s when we got it all started for my dream (and first!) lab diamond ring. Nick remained insanely responsive, super supportive of me and all my questions. He sent videos and information on the stone. He originally found one stone and then found one he liked better and advised me (same price!) that he would go with the second stone.

From deposit to when I got the ring in the mail was literally a month. Insanely fast! And Nick was there the entire way, giving me updates etc.

I would recommend Nick and Complete Carat to anyone! I already have to my mom and she’s planning on getting a band for herself.

Nick reached out to me after I posted a question on reddit about a design and a diamond for an engagement ring. He was amazing to work with. I had a specific vision in mind, and he and his team brought it to life in a way that exceeded all my expectations.

I was in constant communication with Nick's CAD designer and ring maker, who walked me through every step of the process over message and Facetime. I am a particular person by nature, and John (designer) was very patient with my requests which ended up in multiple iterations for the ring (sorry John!!) He helped refine my design and Nick was able to source the most stunning diamond (I had specific specs beyond the 4 C's in terms of crown angle, pavilion angle, facet thickness etc.).

When I saw the finished piece, I was so incredibly happy with it. It was exactly how I had designed it in my mind and exceeded my expectations.

I can't recommend Complete Carat (and Nick, in particular) enough. They helped create something truly meaningful, and I'll always be grateful for that. My now fiancée said "yes" and is so in love with the ring!

Beautiful piece, excellent craftsmanship. Nick and John built the perfect 20th anniversary ring for me and I am in love with it! I am appreciative of how personalized their service was and I have already reached out about another piece.

Could not have asked for better service. Gave Complete Carat a rough idea what i was looking for and an inspo pic. They came back with the most beautiful design and talked me through it and gave me the opportunity to make any changes if needed. We agreed to go ahead and the final product ( a gorgeous 2.6ct emerald cut with side baguettes) is beyond stunning and the price was significantly less than the large jewellers both in store and online, without compromising on quality. Cant wait to have nick and john make me some more pieces in the new year.

Very poor quality ring with structural defects that should have been caught prior to sending it to me. It was clearly not checked by Complete Carat and they later tried to pass it off as if I was being too picky. Don’t let their pricing fool you - the quality of work is shoddy.

Nick at Complete Carat is made me an engagement ring. Hes super responsive, better value than anyone I found on reddit, etsy, instagram etc (and I looked A LOT)... He's really on top of it as far as quality/making sure I'm satisfied. Had the diamond ordered and in his hands 5 days after I said lets do it/deposit, the CAD mockup of the ring a day or 2 after that and the ring made and diamonds set a week later. I was a bit worried beforehand about my deadline approaching but he finished the ring two weeks before my soft deadline for a proposal this last weekend.

I cant say enough good things about him. I got tired of looking at loose stones and just couldnt decide so I just decided to go hands off and let him take care of it all.

Ordered a ring with lab grown diamond with Nick from Complete Carat and it was my first experience and amazing. He walked me through every step of picking out the perfect stone and listened to my setting ideas and made them all come alive. He got my approval on every step of the process sending pictures and videos. Total time was less than 3 weeks and I was amazed when I put it on for the first time. Even more beautiful in person. If your in the market, go to Nick at Complete Carat. You won’t regret it!

At first I was nervous, the idea of shelling out large sums of money for a product I couldn’t see…let me tell you, that angst was put at ease within 5 minutes of my first chat with Nick. First, we set up a zoom call for a “face to face” that gave me a sense that the company and approach were legitimate and I had a way to get back in touch with him if something went amiss. He was sincere, and answered I’m going to say 15 questions about the company, the process, the materials etc.

As for the process: my wife, who is an expert researcher, came prepared with the specs she wanted for the stone, the setting and an accompanying eternity band- Nick received them, and told me how he would source the stone(s) and then how he would he would send them to me to look at. Nick sent over videos of the stones before they shipped so we knew they were coming and could get a glimpse. I made my initial deposit and Nick sent me a UPS express tracking number. He sent two stones because we were in between sizes and we examined them, were able to check their provenance etc. Great process, frankly made the whole rest of the effort run smoothly.

From there, Nick kept us posted about the ring casting and was super fast in turning around both rings. The all in on this process was 4 weeks and that’s because I was slow in responding. The service was excellent, and I would 100% recommend it to anyone (my mother-in-law included!)

Folks see my wife’s ring and are in awe of its beauty - Great value and great experience!
