Having shopped around this (black gold) appeared to be the ideal compost for us and was reasonably priced. We were kept up to date with the order process and the compost arrived promptly.

Online ordering process was very easy with clear explanation of the differences between the products on offer. The delivery took place within a few days and the driver contacted me when he was on his way. Delivery took place as close to my property as possible. The product was easily spreadable covering the ground to the extent anticipated based on the information on the website.

October 2020 was the first time I used 'Black Gold' from Compost Direct. The material and company had been recommended by a friend. The compost is excellent and will do wonders to both my vegetable garden and flower beds. The delivery lady was very helpful. I thoroughly recommend the 'Black Gold' compost as it is weed free, easy to apply and will increase the organic matter in the soil.

Bought Black Gold this time - have used Compost Direct before. Product loks great and was easy to dig out of the bulk bag to spread onto the vegetable plot. Have to wait until next year to see how the crops appreciate the added goodness. Ordering is really easy and the delivery lead time was really quick. The delivery driver was a bit difficult (this is a contracted service so not a Compost Direct employee). We live on a narrow farm lane and our drive is only accessible for bulk deliveries from one direction. The driver approached from the other direction and was initially unwilling to listen to advice about where to turn round. Eventually he was persuaded and the product was delivered onto the drive (so not obstructing the lane). Will definitely buy from the company again.
