Conns Home plus: Dishonest

Title: Deceptive Pricing and Disappointing Experience

My recent encounter with Conn's HomePlus left me thoroughly dissatisfied. The most egregious issue was their deceitful pricing practices. Products were labeled with seemingly attractive prices, only for additional fees and charges to be tacked on at checkout, leaving me feeling duped and cheated.

It's utterly frustrating to think you're getting a good deal, only to discover hidden costs that inflate the final price beyond reason. The lack of transparency in their pricing is unacceptable and reeks of dishonesty.

Moreover, the overall shopping experience was far from pleasant. The store layout was confusing, making it difficult to locate items, and the staff appeared indifferent and uninterested in assisting customers.

While I had hoped to find quality products at reasonable prices, Conn's HomePlus failed to deliver on both fronts. I strongly advise potential customers to proceed with caution and carefully scrutinize their pricing policies before making any purchases.

Customer service is trash.

I hate calling these people. I make my payments early every month, and they still try to double charge me with auto-pay. I can clearly see them trying to charge it from my payment history each month. I called to have auto-pay removed from my account and they keep arguing trying to tell me that it was canceled. I told them I can CLEARLY SEE IT from my payment history, and all he said was "thank you for calling to verify is there anything else i can help you with?"

They don't want to take the time to correct an issue on their end but have blown up my phone before because of these failed autopayments and harassed me through my email. Literally got called 5 times in a 2 hour span. Stop outsourcing for your customer service line and get people who are professional and know what they're doing. I am never buying from this company again.

I wish I could give less than 1 star

I wish I could give less than 1 star. Six months ago I bought several pieces of furniture including an expensive power recliner. Three months ago the recliner broke and will not work, The repairman has been out the first time he said he would have to order a part. It took a month to get the part but it was the wrong size. Now I have been waiting nearly another month for the right part, Customer Service is no help. Don't trust this company.

CUMSUMER BEWARE OF CONNS FURNITURE

We purchased a bedroom set for my son. 16, he was then 13. The bed rails broke after about 8 months, under warranty… now 2 yrs later bed has fallen apart. Son now 16, 6’2 and 220lbs…bed broke. This is a normal adult bed, not childs bed. Rails, headboard and box springs.necause of cheap pine slats. Still under warranty. Conns says abuse…alls kid does is school, work and sleep. I have many pics. Conns wont replace. Still under warranty! The tech that was sent over stated that was inferior stuff! He was SHOCKED at the materials used and how cheaply made it was…COMSUMER BEWARE! Stay away from conns! They could care less about thier custs and are selling YOU CHEAPLY constructed junk. So now its off to civil court. Whatever happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE?! Right out the window here. Wldve been much easier if they held up to thier end of bargain! I was extremly nice and patient but now im pissed. Now, ill win in court and they wont get paid! I have 3 accts with conns and ill call this bs! AGAIN STAY AWAY FROM CONNS!

Terrible experience

Terrible experience! Do not recommend! I purchased a washer dryer combo and I paid the fee to have my existing washer and dryer hauled away, which is on my receipt. During the delivery by Curtis and Alex, I was forced to pay an extra $40.00 cash to remove the dryer.even thoughI had paid for removal. After the installation I discovered that they had damaged my wall by knocking a hole in it. When they asked if the installation was OK they were deliberately blocking my view of the wall and at the time I said yes not being aware of the damage. After they left I noticed the hole in the wall. I called Conn's and reported the damage and the scam forcing me to pay extra cash. They lied and denied it. I called back repeatedly and was told I would be contacted, but no one called. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Conn's again lied and denied damaging the wall. I am an older woman and feel I was taken advantage of and a victim of elder abuse.

Bought a recliner there the one I set in and reclined worked good at store when they delivered new one the recline part wouldn’t work right had get out of chair push it in by foot guy said oh it’s because it was new and stiff gave it couple weeks no better got tech out which took over month replaced broken pc still went down hard store said they wouldn’t do anything about it cuz was as is DO NOT BUY ANYTHING From them they do not stand behind their products

Conn's is the RIGHT name CON

Conn's is Right, lies and fraud. I declined insurance of $1000.00 on a $1500.00 sofa. I would not have bought a sofa set and pay insurance with that cost. Young salesman filled out all of the paperwork on an ipad. So I didn't get a copy said that it would be ready and mailed. Like an nut I trusted him. Paid almost $2000.00 I asked for a copy of contract several times NEVER received no I'm getting a collection agency asking for $2100.00 more. I have several emails asking for my copy I only received emails asking for my information yet I got statement and emails But no contract, I emailed Better Business Bureau. THere has to be a way to stop these company/employees from ripping people off... Business would be so much better if they would be honest and fair..

This place lives up to the name con

This place lives up to the name con. Just paid off two of my purchases and these Kock Suckers are still taking out of my bank account. Even when I confronted them. So many lies. Plus of all the people ive ever talked to, all from India. Scammer capital of the world. As for the warranties. Total rip off. They dont honor 💩. I will never buy anything from this crooked place again

The customer service is terrible and…

The customer service is terrible and rude. She called me few times because my husband bills was pass due (wasn’t his fault in some point money want pass through), she called me and lied that my husband talked to her and transferred the payment of the loan to me, although this was not the case because they never called him or spoke to him. And in a very rude manner she tried make me to take care of the payment, when i asked few times to contact with my husband about that she refused and continued pressing me. That was so unprofessional. She spoiled my mood for the rest of the day. Will never work with them again.

Highly-Concerning Business Practices

James & Krystal 12/12/2023 between 1:23PM - 1:47PM Conn of Jacksonville, FL: CONN delivered the incorrect item, the “Delivery Guys” stated: “You have to take this item and our Company will send the correct item and have us swap them out.”

I made sure witnesses were present to document the ENTIRE ordeal, I wasn’t aware of Conn’s “business practices” across the USA at-the-time, I don’t frivolously spend my money and I maintain a PAID Legal Team.

In my aforementioned statement I mention James & Krystal/Crystal, whom I spoke with today - 12/12/2023 between 1:23PM & 1:47PM. James & Krystal were utterly unprofessional. James blamed Online Customer Service, the “blame-game” attempt, advised me to call Online Customer Service.

I call Online Customer Service and I’m connected with Krystal. Krystal sates, “You should’ve declined delivery.” I inform Krystal that Conn’s employees, the two delivery guys, stated that Conn’s does this often and I just have to call and have it corrected. Krystal informs me that this isn’t how it works and the Delivery Guys lied.

I inform Krystal of Conn’s “concerning & questionable” acts, adding that my household has a Legal Team to address and expose “questionable” business behavior. Krystal states, “You aren’t the only customer to have this issue, good-luck with suing us.”

Therefore, Action News Jax has been informed and I requested Ben to investigate Conn’s business practices. On 12/18/2023, I’ll file a lawsuit against Conn’s. I don’t appreciate “sketchy” business practices, I’m just thankful that I’m able to provide any funds necessary to have this business investigated.

Exercise caution, both when purchasing and in-person interactions, this business made an “attempt” on the “correct” customer, last-night & this afternoon.

Also, the “Haul-Away” is also concerning! The Delivery Guy stated, “We don’t do Haul-Away, for $100 I’ll remove it!” I’ll also add that to my Legal Argument as well. In addition, I contacted Synchrony Bank, to make them aware of my concerns.

In-closing, be highly cautious! I’m flabbergasted by Conn’s behavior!

Unbelievable!

Unbelievable! I purchased a patio propane lamp and have had so many problems with customer service that it is ridiculous. I have spoken to several different reps and the quality of service is consistent.....unacceptable! Then I checked TRUST PILOT and now it all makes sense......Geesh!

Something not right with amount…

Something not right with amount lately purchased treadmill $1,999 plus tax $2139 total April 2023. As today I paid $105 a month that’s $735 I paid since then and the balance remind is $1,943. $196 and where is $539 go? The interest? I think they adjust the contract? But where $539 go while $196 went to the balance. Definitely huge ripoff. I’m stuck with that and will use my tax refund in 2 months and pay it in full to Conn and move on.

POOR SERVICE

Dang it!! I should have pulled this review up before going out to Conn's. I see why they have 1 star. They need a negative star like -10. Because they are truly a poor appliance store. Why do the customer have to wait almost 2 weeks to get a new refrigerator due to a defect one. Then the games starts with someone will call you. NO Call at all. THIS IS ONE STORE I WOULD LIKE TO SEE CLOSE DOWN!! POOR SERVICE!! Funny how you can use inappropriate language on the review, but it feels like they treat the customer in an inappropriate way.

Don’t use them in 3 years of financing…

Don’t use them in 3 years of financing with them I have never been late got sick couldn’t get to the bank and was late 3 days and they constantly harassed my work and every other person calling more than 10 times a day they’re pathetic and ridiculous will never buy garbage from that dump again!

Floor agent lied to us

Floor agent lied to us! He promised us a 10% rebate upon delivery. Needless to say we didn’t get a 10% rebate. To this day, he is still working on it!!! Filed a complaint with Home Office in TX with zero results. Customer Relations insulted me further by offering me a $100 Gift Card to Conn’s…like I would ever go back to Conn’s. In the end, it’s not about the 10% rebate but about how little regard they have for the customer.

This is the absolute worst company to… their name suits them conns nothing but a conn

This is the absolute worst company to buy anything from. There is nobody that can make any decisions when you can understand what they're talking about they lie to you about your rates and no interest 12 months loans I ended up having to pay more than double what it cost for the furniture I bought they made my credit score tank and there's nobody can ever get to answer your questions was the worst worst place I've ever made a purchase don't buy from them

Conn's is a con for real.This place is beyond horrific for…

This place is beyond horrific for customers care after you purchase. All 3 appliances I purchased in a bundle deal are malfunctioning, the $3000+for just the refrigerator with glass door to light up, well the freezer ice machine stopped working after 6 months we called cause we also purchased extra service warranty besides there standard one that supposably comes with each appliance. They never came to fix or even look at it then the dishwasher is a push button with Bluetooth and all the extras well it won't run a load. It turns on and off it won't stay started it's constantly blinking. Now for over 10 months we have tried to get people to come and work on it the first guy they sent wore slippers and told us that he was smoking weed earlier. But then he mentioned that the motherboard must have an issue he said he would order another. Well we waited and had to reschedule another appointment we never got a motherboard they scheduled another appointment and nobody showed up and then they wrote us saying that they came to our home and no one was here which is not true. Six appointments have been made through their system and only two people have showed up who could not fix the machine because they keep saying they don't have the parts now they have sent the parts to my house and once again the technician said that he came and showed a picture of my house from Google Maps from 2018 there's a pickup truck I used to own and sold in 2018. This company does not offer any resolution nor people you can speak with. Their customer service phone numbers are all out of South Asia and they cannot connect you to any supervisors or a corporate number. I also called many of the corporate numbers they do have in Texas and it refers you back to the South Asia Telecommunications department they use. Please take your business somewhere else this company has named their business conn's for a reason I actually know many real cons and they have more integrity than this company. Oh by the way all the appliances are from LG and they will not warranty their own product either.

Worst customer service i have ever received

In fact, I'm upset that I don't have the ranking option with a 000. It's the worst service I've ever received from a company. I personally do customer service. I placed an order and they gave me a delivery estimate and I never received a tracking number. I started to get a little worried that there had been a problem with my order so I contacted the customer service department. From the first call the matter became a total nightmare, I contacted around 10 or 12 different representatives, one of the first ones hooked my phone and left me talking to myself (an aside, I was being the most polite person with them because I also do CS, understanding that there may be complications and delays with shipping), and the only thing I needed was to find the estimated time for delivery since according to my order it appeared on the website with scheduled delivery for a certain day. I never received a tracking number, I contacted CS just to find out a timeframe, and a guy named TARA was the rudest just because I politely asked him to tell me if I needed to be a little more patient. Instead of helping me alone, he said that he couldn't do anything about it and that he didn't know when the order would be delivered and he filled me with excuses. In the end I asked to be transferred to a supervisor and guess what? Just hung up on me after spending more the 3 days trying to get a response. "IT IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, RUDE AND THEY DID DISRESPECT ME BY SENTING ME TO SHUT UP." Ha, but yes, the same day I placed my order the charge appeared on my card.
