Mattress purchase at Conn's

July 24,2023 I purchased a mattress from Conn's in Harlingen, Texas. The saleslady made a mistake on the invoice causing the wrong mattress to be delivered to my home. The store people new they made a mistake but corporate would not allow a mattress exchange. I'm stuck with a mattress I did not order and do not want. Conn's customer service is a joke. Also Conn's shared my personnel information with at least two credit agencies with out my permission. Do not shop at Conn's, they cannot be trusted.

What a horrible experience !!

What a horrible experience, I purchased a sofa from them the frame broke within 3 months of my purchase and I'm still making payments on it with the outrageous interest rate that I was unaware of that I was paying I still haven't even paid down for the amount of just the sofa so I'm stuck paying for a piece of furniture that I'm unhappy with.BEWARE THEY SELL LOW QUALITY GARAGE 😡

Beware of the conns they play! …

Beware of the conns this company will pull on you. I purchased some items from them on an interest free contract and have been faithfully paying every month. After a year of payments they added more cost to my itemm A LOT more! They changed my contract to a 30% APR! I would NEVER do a loan like that! So their information you can’t find it online or the contract so you have to call them and then wait 48 hours for them to send you one and then there’s nobody to complain to! What horrible practices they do to people !

I spend over $11,000 at Conns in one…

I spend over $11,000 at Conns in one purchase. I ordered a very nice light colored sofa and love seat. Upon delivery they strapped the couch so tight it damaged the wood and left strap stains. The love seat was filthy from the delivery guys hands. It took me many phone calls and emails. They agreed to replace them. However they only replaced one. Left the love seat filthy and took one of the pillows. So I paid for a pillow they took. I am so frustrated with this place I finally gave up.

Conn's Homeplus

Worst company to deal with pertaining to an extended warranty , CustomerService etc. I bought a washer and dryer in 2020 and I added an extended warranty until 2024. The GE Washer arrived here broken. It doesn't spin correctly, most of the time not at all. I have to wring out the clothes one by one and put the washer on spin cycle for 9 more min and spin few wet towels at a time. It is always in the "balancing cycle, " no matter how good, I place every piece of laundry. Now besides not spinning correctly, the water from the clothes being pulled out sopping wet and me wiping after has caused the machine to rust throughout, I have had more that 15 calls since 2020 and 4 months ago, the service man fixed it !!! I was so thankful. Today. It started all over again. In the past, I have tried to talk to a supervisor, sent emails , I have not received any solution. I was also denied a new one. I held off on leaving a review bc I didn't want it to reflect how they treated me and the service performed in my broken pekon of a washer.. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME,MONEY AND TROUBLE, GO PURCHASE THESE ITEMS SOME WHERE ELSE!!!!

Horrible experience.

Horrible experience.
I have reported conns twice. They continue to harrass and call 10 times a day. I talk to 1 representative they do not document anything. I pay every week it is ridiculous. I don't get paid every week and I am dishing money in hopes that it is resolved. Nothing is resolved, they make up their own amounts and do not report any thing to the website. Do not purchase anything from conns they will harrass you daily even if you don't have the money. And they don't properly report it to credit. It shows not updated amounts. I will be reporting these people again for harrasment.

Maybe a sign……

Since my last review I have changed the order to a different furniture before the next delivery date to my town right outside Austin Tx. I took all the trouble as a sign and glad I changed my mind. Conns did a great job on this order and allowed a couple of perks for all my trouble. There was a possible mishap happening when they delivered my two recliners and brought up two that didn’t match. All ended ok when they realized they had the matching one in the truck. Whew! That was close! Being on the cusp of the delivery zone I may have had to wait another week. Time stopped for a bit but all turned out ok. Maybe all the trouble was a sign to change the sort of furniture. I don’t know but I am happy with what I have and appreciate the extra that Conns done to make a bad experience end ok.

They promise the moon with their…

They promise the moon with their warranties. They will not honor them. When it breaks and it will they just say they cannot find a technician. If you then refuse to pay for broken appliances under warranty there take you to small claims court.

Ashley Howard, Store #2445

It wasn't a what that made my experience, awesome, but a who! Ashley Howard, from Conn's Store#2445, in Texas. She let me take my time to really look for what I wanted and see what options they had which was a sleeper sofa, she found the brand but a sectional, but complete with lamps, end tables, and center table. AND the price Completely within my repayment strategy. The entire experience was fun, and just an interaction I haven't had while shopping in a very long time. Technology prevents us from interacting and engaging with each other. Ashley at Houston, TX Conn's is the epitomy of what every customer service experience should be like. When it came time for me to sign my documents she took her time to ensure every detail was entered correctly. I called back, yesterday and got her again. Absolutely, an amazing job, Ashley! Thank you so much for providing me options. She helped me make a good purchase choice. I could not be more pleased with my purchase experience.

I normally don’t do reviews but I’m very upset bout this….I’ve been called everyday this week up to 5+ times per day, calls starting at 8:30 am until because I was used as a reference or contact# on someone whom I know n they don’t live with me and only sees maybe once a week, so why call me like I owe you something…lady said we calling cause HER account is past due(third party disclosure). I don’t mind no one calling me BUT obsessive calling numerous times is not necessary n yes I can just delete the calls n move on BUT it’s simple harassment. My call log is full of Conn’s & Yes u took my# off but either way I will be calling the OCCC(office of credit commission) & FTC(federal trade commission) Monday Morning

I received a damaged refrigerator that…

I received a damaged refrigerator that also didn't fit my area in kitchen. They. Left it in middle of my kitchen. I called them numerous times to come get it. I was then told I was to bring it back. Then if they saw damage they cau8 I would be blamed for it. I'm not that stupid. Don't waste money at conns ..Conns is Short for con artist

Unsolicited calls.

I've never been to Conn's, nor have I purchased anything from Conn's...However I get calls from them, 3 times, every day. In those calls they want me to pay a bill, that I never needed to pay in the first place.

Stay away,
My elderly Mother was in search of a new couch with soft curved arms for napping comfort. We walked into Conns in Jacksonville Fl and found the perfect couch. But….the sales lady input the wrong product number and the next day the wrong (square armed) couch was delivered. She was home alone and was encouraged by the 2 delivery persons to leave it wrapped up. When I returned home I realized it was the incorrect item (it is still factory wrapped), I immediately called to have it exchanged but was informed we are stuck with it. They made several mistakes that they are unwilling to correct. I would never do business with them again.

I bought a Beauty Rest mattress with an…

I bought a Beauty Rest mattress with an adjustable base from Conn's furniture, after 13 months of use the mattress started sagging. Conn's will not honor the warranty I paid for. And I'm still paying for a mattress that hurts my back. I bought this product because the sale agent assured me that it would work great for my disabled husband. Now I have to roll towels and place them in the sagging area so my husband won't be in as much pain. I'm being told because there is a few stains of the bed in non-sagging areas that this caused the mattress to break down. Yet under the warranty it covers standard stain causing liquids IE blood, semen, urine ETC. This company is dishonest! They do whatever it takes to earn a buck and won't stand by their word and warranty. DO NOT BUY.

There is no customer service and their…

There is no customer service and their corporate is a fortress. No one cares.
Bought a refrigerator, quit after 11 days, serviced then went out again. Seeviced 5 times, 5 different parts ordered. I have had this refrigerator for 54 days and without it for 33. Lost food twice. Will never go back!

Customer should always come first…

It seems this store likes to put their customers through the hoops once a sale is made. We purchased a refrigerator and was told they would match any price. It was done the first time and yet the second time we were left waiting and then told since it was a different order delivery might be extended. Even though we were told Conn's was much more reliable in their deliveries dates than Lowes and Home Depot at purchase. Third time came with another lower price and this time at both HD and Conn's. We were given the price match but delivery date not clear. After calls, finally it was stated delivery would be delayed. We then decided to cancel the sales all together. It was then said after more calls we could have the one on the floor. Since we have been without a frig for three weeks we agreed. We got a call from delivery person the day before delivery date that the frig would be delivery on schedule and there would be another call on that night to give us delivery time. Late afternoon on that day the sale person called stated that the frig wouldn't be delivered tomorrow. After back and forth calls it finally was delivered on the second day it was originally promised. We already had the brand new hookup and was used instead of the one the delivery person brought along with the frig (it was charged $34.99 the day we purchase the frig). Delivery person stated we could return and get a refund for it. We took it down to the store, waited as usual (sales people did not show smile and some acted as why we were there. We would then told that could not refund us until the next day since it had to be approved. Just what is going on? This whole Conn's experience has been like a Nightmare on Elm's Street. We purchased. a four year warranty, but based on the other reviews, it looks like it would be best that we cancel that option. Tomorrow we plan on returning the hookup and hope we don't have to wait and that the sales people gave us the same look again.

Conn's Does Not Honor Warranty I and my father purchased a large lift…

I and my father purchased a large lift recliner, on which we purchased a warranty through Conn's. The chair recently stopped fully reclining, so we called for repair under the warranty. Conn's sent out a service person who examined the chair and told us that he'd order a part and we'd be contacted to schedule its installation. We got an email about a repair man calling to schedule; however, right after that we got an email telling us the claim was denied as the chair was in working order. I called thinking it a clerical mistake but learned that the denial was intentional. This was a blatant refusal to honor their warranty. I also made a complaint through the Better Business Bureau.

Avoid Conn's

Avoid Conn's, Very unprofessional I purchased a bedroom set which took four times coming to set up with wrong parts each time they showed up no communication at all..... Wanted to return at this point only finding that they would"nt let me this is not right at all please avoid this place.
