We had a great service from Harry - no complaints - but there has been no contact for months now over an expired link so I cannot access any of the images. Harry if this reaches you, please check in and read your messages - feeling a bit desperate.

I sent my tapes on 17 April with Royal Mail tracked delivery with order number clearly written on box and Royal Mail confirmed they had been received. It's now 3 June and I have heard NOTHING back. I have called almost daily and left voice messages and emailed numerous times and NO RESPONSE. I am deeply worried as I fear I will lose my family childhood videos which are the only videos we have of my late mother. I am so sad by this and really wish someone from ConvertYourTapes will help. Order number - 10788.

Received excellent service. The tapes I submitted had extreme mould and they did everything possible to help me retrieve the memories.

Extremely poor experience. I sent some tapes off for digitisation as a Christmas present for my family after I was assured that timeline was realistic, beforehand after they received my tapes on 12 Dec. I received nothing back before Christmas. Multiple emails, calls and voicemails over the course of weeks after that went unanswered. No explanation in auto-replies or on their website.

As a business that deals in preserving people's memories, they should know that the thought of having lost generations of family memories is pretty distressing. On top of that, they had the cheek to offer New Year discount codes on their website after the 1 Jan - clearly they were active and accepting new orders. Only recently have they added a banner to advise using another service.

Eventually I received a download link to my files on 25 Jan, and they posted my tapes back a few days after that, with no explanation or acknowledgement of the delay. The files themselves were as good as I could expect, which is a shame because they're clearly able to do a great job. However the total lack of communication, transparency, apology or accountability is really not on. If they had just got in touch to explain what was going on I wouldn't be writing this now. Instead it seems like the attitude from other responses below is to deny any problem and blame the customer. Avoid.

My tape took longer than expected and communication could of been better. However I was contacted and explained to the reason behind the delay. Unfortunately what I thought was on the tape was not and I was offered a full refund.

Like Ella , sent tapes before Christmas and have not received them back.
I have sent many emails and called many times only ever reaching a voicemail.
Really sad to have lost my family memories of people who are no longer with us on the tapes.
Please do not use this company. The money is insignificant but the memories lost are devastating.
Next step is to contact trading standards and the ASA ensure others don’t lose out to. Would advise anyone in the same position to follow suit. Will also be seeking chargeback .

I placed an order in early December and posted my video the next day. It arrived with them two days later. The turn around time was stated to be less than a week, so I expected to at least receive the video file back well before Christmas, with my original VHS arriving later due to postal strikes and festive delays. However, it has now been almost a month and I have heard NOTHING. I have sent a message and left two voicemails as their phone appears to be switched off (although my text was delivered so they've had the ability to read it). Still no response. I'm incredibly disappointed as the VHS is the only footage of me as a child and my parents are devastated. Very rude company.

We researched various companies to transfer our tape to DVD. This company caught our eye primarily because there wasn’t one bad review. Their website is simple to use and every step of the ordering process is explained in laymen's terms. The end result was just wonderful. Excellent service and media received within day’s. Will be using this company again.

Excellent service - was really easy start to finish and tape was converted onto USB and returned safely and fast.

We had some really old camcorder tapes, wasn't sure what condition they were in or if they could be converted across, but they came out really well

I wanted to surprise my dad for his 60th birthday and found our old family tapes, he used to love filming back in the day...I looked at every tape conversion website online but ConvertYourTapes was the most straightforward and so easy to use, I found what I needed in seconds!!! And received back my tapes in couple of days!!!

Quick turnaround and a good service. I've used another company to do tape conversions in the past, and it took quite a long time to get the digitised versions back, so was pleased with this.
