I've been using Mat for some years to fix some tricky watch issues for me. He has also overcome these problems to my satisfaction.
Recently I had historic issues with a Omega Speedmaster that Mat had previously repaired and serviced. After approx 18 months the Speedmaster was not performing properly. I made contact with Mat and he was kind enough to fix the issue under an extended warranty period.
Another watch I sent him not the same calibre of the Speedmaster, but of great emotional value and worth to me. Again, he took the same effort and expertise to get my old watch back to running again.

Icing on the cake is the detailed written report on his work and performance overview on each watch.

Sent my watch to Mat as it needed a repair,ETA 7750. Mat fixed my watch and did a complete service as well, he's an absolutely fantastic watch smith .Mat is now my go to watch guy.

Mathew has done a great job sorting out my omega speedmaster. I bought my omega from watchfinder website and came with riddle of problems. The chronograph function has issue, it won’t reset properly and sometimes doesn’t always aligned at 12 position and timekeeping is losing roughly 5 sec a day. Watchfinder asked to return the watch for different watch instead which I declined because there isn’t another omega watch that they listed. I tried to send it off to Omega service center but the price and waiting time is ridiculous.

Found Mathew on facebook page and I sent my omega watch off to repair and service, in a few weeks, came back looking spanking brand new, case/bracelet polished, the chronograph is fixed and the timekeeping is excellent.

I’m very chuffed with the final result. Extremely happy and I wouldn’t hesitate to anyone to use Matthew watch repair service.

this is my first proper experience of watch repair by mat. i recently own a first omega seamaster 1020 series. timekeeping is so poor and needs a good service. ive it sent off to by a different watch repairer in london unfortunately, it came back with poor timekeeping after service. the watch repair man in london was not able to repair it and he told me it required a full overhaul service, that means most parts need to replace with new one to have a good timekeeping, which is very expensive and some parts are obsolete.

i’ve came across mat on omega forums after i made a thread about my omega seamaster issue. we exchanged messages and ive seen his great work and his great testimonies too. ive sent my omega watch off in the post. mat receives my omega watch and he examined my omega and right off the bat, he knows what the problem is in my omega watch. mat told me that most metal gear post and metal balance staff post is flat and worn out and causes friction which creates the poor timekeeping. luckily thanks to mat knowledge and his skills, he can easily repair the problem without replacing the new parts. totally opposite what the repair man in london said to me.

roughly 2 weeks later, my omega seamaster came back like brand new! and the timekeeping is vastly improved by 2 seconds per day.

i feel like i was lucky enough to find the right watch repair man to repair my omega watch without having many parts replacement which could have cost me so much money.

i totally highly recommend this guy. 100% bang on with no hesitation.

Great value and workmanship, communication is great and so his professionalism. Had a phone call from him to let me know that my ladies Rolex is completed for overhaul service and ready to ship back to Canada.

I have been wearing it in the last 24 hours and it is working perfectly as it should be, the lengthy written report is very helpful and easy to under what has be done to the Rolex watch. Helpful service and very knowledgeable.

This is all done under 3 weeks, from Canada to UK and then from UK back to Canada, absolutely flawless service.

one of the best and no nonsense watchmaker i have come across in 56 years. i wish i knew matthew alot sooner, would have helped alot for my watch business as a buyer and a seller. he was able to repair the parts and make new parts when the parts are obsolete as found in vintage rolex and omega and 120 year old Pocketwatche.
Other so called watchmakers told me it can’t be done which causes my business to be hindered. however matthew has changed all that from impossible to possible. there is still hope for 2023 for watchmaking world for a younger generation like matthew.

Matt was recommended to me by a friend of mine who used his service for 15 years, I passed my 28k Rolex Daytona 116520 to Matt.
His price is not cheap but a fair competitive price, £1,200 for full service, repairing bracelet, full polish on case,bracelet and gasket replacement, including 3 years warranty and the documentation supported but a VERY brilliant service and excellent results in a very quick time and highly professional to his work. It’s all worth it. My Rolex Dayton looks new again.

I’ll will definitely be using Matt service from now on.

My Omega Seamaster James Bond watch had a accident due to watch strap failure , it was dropped on the concrete floor on a night out, totally dent/ scratched the case and chipped the edge of sapphire glass. The watch is now running fast and not keeping great time.

Had a recommendation on the omega forum to pointed out the trusted watchmaker to repair my omega which is Mat, I don’t want it to send it back to Omega authorised service centre which i have done in the past.

I had tried to email Mat for few times but no answer until week later, i understand how busy he can be, so that is understandable. We had a long conversation on the phone explained what happens to my watch and Mat explained what like caused my watch to run so fast and so on. He explained what kind of procedure will be carried out doing my omega watch. I also asked him to do a full service aswell which is overdue.

my omega James Bond has arrived back today after couple weeks. The case has been polished and dent and scratches is gone. The case looks new and clean. The sapphire glass is replaced. The time accuracy is improved. I have noticed setting the time and winding the power feel so smooth and little resistance to it which is great.

I’m extremely happy, the price is decent and have written In documents which is a bonus aswell.

Overall I have nothing but positives to things to say about my experience with Mat , I’m extremely impressed and very happy with final results.

I will be spreading this positive experience on the omega forums. He is well truly deserved it.

Will be wearing my omega on the night out tonight. Cant wait.

I had my seiko chronograph and Tissot chronograph for serviced. Both were losing time. They have done a very good job on both watches. Seiko crown feels smooth and easy to wind and the Tissot chronograph function button are easy to push in to start the chronograph.

Both keeps a great time and looks great after restoration too.turn around time was three weeks. Very happy with the results. Well worth the investment, this is the second time I use their services 👍

Always kept up to date to know what was going on with my watches.

My Patek Philippe, IWC, Zenith and Breitling came back within 1 month, looking new and running excellent timekeeping. Comes with supported documents and 2 years warranty. The price is very good aswell.

There are 2 very well-known watch service companies in Liverpool town that have let me down and eventually, someone sends me in the right direction to this mat company and they praised his very good work. This gives me enough confidence to try it out.

Mat is one of the best so far in Liverpool town. I will recommend anyone to try out Mat (watchmaker) watch services. He does all kinds of work that most watch repair/ watchmakers will refuse to do.

I will be using his watch service again in near future. no doubt about that.

Cooper Cogs took a look at my vintage watch when a lot of other places said it couldn’t be repaired. The watch is now working perfectly and it’s great to have a family heirloom working again. The price was reasonable, the service was super friendly and helpful and the repair was completed in good time. I’d definitely use them again

I sent some watches previously and got them back in a timely manner so I thought I'd give Matt some more work.

I have two watches with him that he's had for over a year now. No response to tell me what's happening. Communication is very poor.

I'm simply can't fault his work. He went above and beyond the call of duty to have the original omega speedmaster to be repaired in such of short notice, because of my eldest son birthday and i want to give it to him. It was totally ruined by other watch repair man less than 2 weeks ago, damaged the hairspring and broken pivot, forced to pay full price.

Matthew came along and save my day from stress and worries. He repaired the hairspring, make new pivot from scratch and also full service for omega speedmaster.

Matthew charge me for the half of price instead of his original price and I'm ever so grateful for that. My son birthday was yesterday now and he love his vintage omega speedy.

Matthew, thank you so much. You are my hero for the lifetime. I think the written document is a nice little touch too.

Mat did an excellent job in inspecting and repairing an old vintage chronograph cal. 3017 from the 60's.

A complex caliber that 99% of watchmakers out there wouldn't even take a look at it.

He kept me updated via email through all the steps and repairs he made, sending a thorough final report with the watch.

I couldn’t ask for the best watch repair service. Went to 7 different watch service place in Liverpool and they refused to service 1900’s Pocketwatch They mentioned that no parts are available and they can’t go ahead to service it. Tried many watch service websites across the England. Some refuse and some ignore my emails. I got very frustrated.

So i asked for a help on WUS forums and many members replied and heavily recommended that Mat Cooper will be the man for the job, he is very highly praised by the members with his good and honest work. Contact his website and I went to visit to see him and for a chat too. I explained the situation with my Pocketwatch. He took on the job. Two days later, got the phone call that my Pocketwatch is ready to collect.

Mat copper told me that it just need a service and no replacement is needed, apart from new up to date mainspring as I have been told.

I could not believe how accurate my Pocketwatch which is 122 years old. 3 second per day more and less over 5 days. Very happy and delighted.

I will be using his service again in the future, love his work and his honestly too.

My colleague from New york recommend me to contact Coopercogs website to look at my Rolex Date just. I have dropped it in parking garage two years ago and date wheel no longer rotate anymore. it's really hard to find the watchmaker now days, i did not reliase how rare watchmaker is. My colleague has his watch done by coopercogs 10 years ago and did a splendid job as I have been told. I was really worried about sending my expensive watch, In the end, I did. Took 1 month and arrive back to me without issue. I have to say that I'm very please with it. Looking like new since day 1 and date function working. Been wearing it three weeks now and no issue.

Sent away my watch as it wasn’t working well and timekeeping is erratically and stopping.
Only 16 days until I have my watch back after service. I’m extremely delighted. The watch is looking new again and timekeeping is very excellent.

Mat has provided a nice written report paper that will be sent in parcel with watch once it’s return and sent me photo of my watch during the service.
This is a extra bonus and that will help to sell my ladies Rolex with proof of service.

I’m ever so pleased. 5stars and highly recommend it. Will use again in the future without hesitation.

Sent my Rolex authorise service many years ago but Mathew service is so much better,quicker, professionalism’s and reasonable price. I wish I found this sooner.
