From start to finish, Matt was absolutely brilliant in the way he conducted himself, a total ambassador and example of a genuine car sales person so thank you for that. It only started out, purely as an enquiry, but he made me so comfortable and confident, I felt happy to do business with him. There was no 'hard sell' involved, and everything was explained thoroughly. Walked away with a deal I was totally happy with.
I also wish to thank Sam and Russ for their part in my dealings with Lancaster Honda, as with Matt, they too were a pleasure to work with.

Joe is a lovely helpful salesman. Very knowledgeable about the workings of the car. Had a comprehensive test drive. Was offered a good deal on my trade in. Went home to think about it and went back the next day. No silly emails pressurising me to make a decision. Not collected yet, but I'm sure that will go well.

The young man at Kendal Honda, (Elliot) explained everything clearly, he answered fully any questions I had. He explained exactly what would happen at each stage, what I needed to provide and when. He explained fully the different purchasing options available to me and at no point did I feel pressured to buy.

My daughter recently placed a £99 reservation on a vehicle via Auto Trader for Lancaster Volkswagen Morecambe.

The dealership’s own website states that, upon payment of a reservation fee, a vehicle will be “reserved for 72 hours” to allow time to view and test drive.

However, shortly after reserving the vehicle, she was informed by the salesperson that it could still be sold unless she paid an additional deposit. The vehicle was then sold to another customer within that 72-hour period.

The reservation fee was refunded, but this does not address the inconsistency between what is communicated to customers and what occurs in practice.

Auto Trader have since confirmed that the 72-hour reservation is a commitment made by the dealership, and in this case the level of service fell below expectations.

The matter was raised with management, who acknowledged the events but declined to offer any meaningful resolution beyond a conditional discount on another vehicle.

Customers should be aware that paying a reservation fee in this case did not result in the vehicle being held for the stated period.

Southport Honda, an excellent car dealership to choose. No pushy salesmen pestering us whilst we looked around. Once we'd chosen a car to look at, we were met by Mateen, a polite young salesman who was a fountain of knowledge on the chery tiggo 8 (and believe me, that's a lot!!) Mateen went above & beyond throughout the process of the purchase & kept us fully informed every step of the way. He is a real asset to Honda & we want to thank him for making it stress free. Fed up with needy, unreliable European wet-belt engines. Went to Honda for stellar reliability ratings and sound build quality. Great service from Danny and the Southport team. Our HR-V drives really well. Proper timing chain - not an engine-wrecking wet belt in sight. Just check your Isofix child seat will allow middle belt usage if you want both. 5 stars.
