Paid $4 USD for the tag. After I completed the activation I was surprised to receive a receipt for a $11 per month "Premium" subscription. I did kot realize I was subscribing. Premium has lots of add... See more

I paid for my pet tag and never received it email number of time and was always told that my orders was on backorder 6 months and still no tags but charge $4.00 Please why your business took my money and no product Is this A SCAM
Seems very well done but I didn't know I was being charged $9 until I answered all your questions. Is this a 1x charge or yearly? Don't understand.

I saw this on face book and thought good idea. I ordered a tag. At that point i had no idea this would lead to a monthly subscription. I started to set up her tag, halfway through i noticed money had been deducted from my account. I hadnt signed up for it or gjven permission for them to take any payment. Ive asked for a refund but it seems it has been refused, even though i have an email saying it should not have hapoened. BEWARE.
Where do I start - what an absolute con company this is.
We were recommend Crumb by a friend and I saw that they offered a 'free' tag and I just had to pay the £3.00 postage. I ordered the tag and it came within a couple of days. You are sent a card with your 'free' tag with a QR code on which you need to use to activate it. I followed the instructions and as soon as I finished, I noticed that £9.00 had come out of my bank account. I hadn't given any bank details during the activation process so was baffled as to how Crumb had helped themselves to my money.
I contacted their customer service team via email and asked for my £9.00 back as I hadn't provided any bank details and hadn't authorised any payment or charges. I can only presume that they had stored my bank details from when I paid my £3.00 postage for my 'free' tag and then during the activation process, they had used my bank details for the premium subscription price of £9.00.
I received an email back the following day from 'Michelle' but it was an automated response as none of my questions had been answered and my £9.00 wasn't going to be refunded.
I will now do a chargeback with my bank as Crumb have fraudulently stored my card details and taken £9.00 out of my bank account without my authority and without me providing any bank details.
Don't use and the tag definitely isn't free - complete con artists!!!

The call action doesn't work, we trialled the qr code to make sure it worked but when whoever scans the qr code and click the call option. Back and forth with customer support, try a different phone - still didn't work. Said it was a sync clich so try again after a few minutes - tried still didnt work. Make sure number is correct - still didn't work. Suggested spam filters was stopping the call going through - you guessed it still didn't work with filters turned off. Could be a network issue - nope guessed it still didnt work. Think maybe a fault with the app/ website?! Subscription cancelled prob no chance of money back either 🤦♀️ the best part a email inbetween talking they send asking for a 5* review hahaha lol

We ordered what was marketed as a free Crumb pet tag and paid the postage charge, which I understood to be the only immediate cost.
The tag arrived and the communication from Crumb was friendly, including messages from Nick, the founder. The activation process itself was straightforward. However, during activation, £7 was taken from my account for Crumb Premium. I did not see or give clear approval to start a £7/month subscription, and I was not expecting to be moved onto a paid Premium plan without a separate, obvious subscription confirmation step.
That is the part that feels misleading. A “free tag” with postage is one thing; being moved straight into a monthly subscription during activation is quite another, especially when the usual clear authorisation steps for a subscription did not appear to be there.
To be fair, there do seem to be more features available with the tag than I had first appreciated, so we may keep using it for a little while and see how useful it is. But the way the paid plan was introduced has left a poor impression.
I have asked Crumb to downgrade/cancel the Premium subscription, stop any future recurring payments, and refund the £7 already taken. I’m requesting this within the first 14 days, and also because I do not believe the charge was clearly authorised.
I’ll update this review if Crumb responds helpfully and resolves it.
However good the idea is, they fail to tell you it is £9 a month. They take it at the end of the registering process that they insist you do when you get the tag, without any actual request for authorisation. They have stored your payment method that you used for the delivery fee!
Very dodgy practices. Don’t try contacting them about it either. They don’t reply to the “requests” you put in. It’s either talk to a bot or online form.
it was so easy to follow.
would reccomend all owners to get one

Disappointed with this company, upon setting up the tag I immediately noticed £7 go out of my account which I did not authorise, I had somehow been set up for "premium" unbeknownst to me, I did not want to add premium nor did I select my bank details. I've emailed days ago and had no response, they also spam you with about 20 junk emails a day. Will be reporting to my bank. Avoid

the founder seems to be a person that really cares and is super thoughtful in the ways used to help customers find their pets. a unique service that provides a much needed update to the certainly out-of-date system that exists currently for finding pets.

Tags arrive quickly, easy to set up, love snoutID option.
The AI helper is actually helpful unlike some sites. Replacements ordered simply & the subscription service is good value.
All dogs should have one!

very hard to order another tag for our other dog. we do not own a smart phone so unable to follow app instructions. Why did my other tag cost me £9.00? Cannot cancel subscription online - it does not work! no refund showing in my account - SORT THIS OUT!

I tested the crumb tracker and was very pleased to get a text saying my dogs location had been found, here's the link. Made me feel very confident that someone would be able to help me find her just by scanning the qr code on the charm. Thanks to crumb for the confidence!
Highly recommend!
