It's a scam. They will charge you for a premium subscription once you register. DO NOT DO IT!

This company is a scam. I only wanted the free service which I paid £3 for and when I then registered tag they started taking £9 per month. I have contacted my bank to try to recoup my money.

I ordered a pet tag for my cat this evening which was supposed to be £3 I have been charged £12 this is absolutely disgusting this was my money for the week for food they even quoted me £3 and I got a receipt from PayPal saying £12 I have had my bank account cleaned out thanks very much

It would be helpful to allow a bit more time to read the important information you are providing.

I bought a Crumb tag in good faith and paid the P&P as described. I used PayPal. I found out later that they were taking regular monthly payments from my PayPal account. So I blocked future payments. This is highly unethical, and I would say its a scam

This is great because I had no clue before that we could do some kind of "finger prints" with animals which are unique just like our finger prints. On top of it it is free so that is great. This gives me a peace of mind so I do not worry about my cat. I love it. This is really caring for our furry friends. Thanks to Nick.

The service has been excellent, and I received my tag quickly. It's reassuring to know that this company provides an extra layer of protection should my dog ever go missing or, in the worst-case scenario, be stolen. What I particularly love is that, even if her tag and microchip were removed, there is still a chance of being reunited thanks to the Snout ID feature in the app. Knowing that there are multiple ways to help identify and recover her gives me real peace of mind. Highly recommended.

This company are scamming people out of many by taking unauthorised payment for a premium subscription. And when you speak to the customer service team they claim that you opted in which is totally not true. This is theft and such a shame to scam pet owners who are lovingly looking after their pets

Adding the info was quite easy overall. Need to get a little help yet on getting the app to my son with all the info.

The concept is great, but the registration is unethical and very close to being a scam, perhaps actually is. It never explicitly said that any of my decisions would result in a recurring payment, which they take using the details you gave them for the P&P - I never authorised a sub, nor did I understand my payment info would be retained to take monthly payments without authorisation.
When I emailed them to ask for this to be reversed as I did not authorise a payment and the dog I had bought the tag for didnt even exist yet (prepping for a reserved pup in the summer) they just said I can cancel in future if I want. They present a caring personal tone, but appear to be a borderline bait and switch using retained payment info that is unethical and inappropriate. Avoid.

Disappointed,I have cancelled crumb as I no longer needed it due to my pet passing away. I received an email from Tom with the first line saying “well that’s that. As of today your pet is no longer protected.”not one compassionate word. Only disappointment that you have cancelled. Thought this company was different, turns out it’s not.

The idea behind crumb is great, and I had no problems setting up for my first cat, but with our second, the sign up process had changed, with multiple options that at no point tell you they are part of a subscription service and require payment until you complete the set up and are already charged for their subscription. This I find completely unethical-it should be clear if there is a fee up front so people can make an informed decision about services they might want to pay for. I’m now looking elsewhere to replace the crumb tags with others as I no longer trust the ethics of this company

I sent for my free tag and paid postage which was all fine…Tag arrived and I activated it and all was good..Then I noticed that a £9 subscription charge was pending in my account which I hadn’t gave permission for😡😡😡

Crumb are so helpful, when my dog Sonny lost his tag it was so easy to get a new one, no fuss, just requested it and it was sent straight out.
