No mention of a monthly subscription, I would not have agreed to that.
Message regarding closing subscription log in and go to Settings to do it. Just didn't come up, even with another person trying also.
It seems I am one of many, many people who have had the same experience.

Misleading “Free” Offer! The Subscription Is Hidden Until the End

I ordered a Crumb tag after seeing an Instagram advert promoting it as completely free. Before ordering, I specifically checked the website for any hidden costs and couldn’t find any mention of a subscription, so I went ahead.

The tag arrived, and after downloading the app and completing all of my dog’s details, I reached the final step, only to be told I needed to pay a subscription to use it.

This should be made crystal clear in both your advertising and on your website. Advertising the tag as “free” while only revealing the subscription at the end is misleading and leaves customers feeling misinformed and disappointed.

Crumb tag is great so far.

If i could give you less than 1 star i would. Your company is a lie and deceitful. You advertise free pet tags and then automatically charge the credit that paid for shipping of that “free” without permission. I cancelled my subscription ASAP and I want my $21 refunded ASAP

Deceitful company. I paid for what was advertised as a free tag with postage only, but my bank details were retained and I was later charged for a subscription that was never made clear. Very misleading and not a company I would recommend.

I sent for my free tag which came very quick i activated it to obviously sign up to a subscription of an amount that wasnt clearly explained but that was fine i used it for several month till i was offered a totaly free no subscription with itch as long as i recieve the product monthly which i do.I contacted Crumb to cancel my subscription and to do so i had to pay £9 or £9.99 i thought thats done but they continue to take the monthly subscription for the next two months i have emailed them but it is still taking money from my bank when its not autherised.Be very careful you can not leave them very disapointed and for this reason i would not recoment them at all !!!

I ordered the tag and told them specifically that I do not want a subscription. I happened to notice the $16 charge when I went to make a payment on my credit card. I reached out to them and the initial response was quick then dead silence. If they don't refund the charge I will have to put a dispute with my card.

Update: They put in a refund for services that I didn't know I had signed up for and had clearly communicated with that I didn't want to be enrolled in any additional services other than the free tag. I still find the practice deceptive especially with how hard it was to cancel and get a refund.

I originally paid for the tag with a Vanillagift card. I dont have a bank card. The money ran out on the one card. So I put in a new one. Im disabled and my dog is my service animal. If she got stolen , I now have a way to find her.I didnt have a problem paying their subscription .

Tom and the team at Crumb are the absolute best. I love what they are doing for the pet community.

Why are you taking money out of my account June/July when I was under the impression you paid once for the tag

This company is a scam. What they offer sounds great. Then they add your info into a subscription and start charging you for a monthly charge without authorzation. They advertised that the tags were free & that I only had to pay for shipping. Protecting my pets sounded great. But I never agreed to or were aware of the monthly subscription cost of $21/month. Then when I realized what had happened. I canceled my account but no one from Crumb responded. So I was left no option except report it as fraudulent charges. Stay away from this company!

Ordered the free tags with no issues. Set up crumb account easy enough.

It was explained about monthly fees so no idea why some complaining. It not expensive and extra peace of mind if needed. I thankfully ain't needed and hopefully won't so can not comment on how is if needed but peace of mind still knowing got.

DO NOT BUY THIS TAG, SCAMMERS JUST LOST £10.
I was not prompted, or invited to PAY for this subscription no money was mentioned they just took it out of my account without my permisson or knowledge. I have sent 2 emails about it and just being fobbed off. Discusting company preying on people who just want the best for their furry friends.

What’s a bunch of crooks? Same as everybody else planned the tags paid the post? Let’s think about subscription set up how I would’ve paid the subscription to this so I just look at a bunch of crooks and I can’t get my money back.

Received a replacement tag in quick time. Nick is very good at keeping information up to date and relevant. App is well presented and although thankfully I haven't needed to use it yet, it is comforting to know that Maisy is protected if she ever gets lost.
