My pup Calliopi lost her tag soon after I placed it on her collar, Crumb sent a replacement quickly. Thanks for caring about us.

Easy website to use. But not the correct name for my breed. They are NOT spaniels. Brittanys are hunter, pointer, retrievers. They are the smallest of the HPR group

A great experience setting up the data to keep my dog and if I did lose him to get him back. Our pets are a precious part of our family lives. This process is really good , early days but I already feel assured that Jack is safer than he was before . Highly recommended

Fraudulently take £9 and start a subscription you never even sign up to- DO NOT USE

I never upgraded to a premium account and did not enter any payment information on the website or app, only paid for the tags and postage. I am still been charged for a premium account.
Disgusting

I write this review on behalf of my elderly mother (complaint ref 358983) who has definitely been scammed by this company, I had to choose 1 star because I couldn't choose 0. My mother is extremely vulnerable and not in good health. She has been misled into thinking she was getting a FREE dog tag. She has then been conned into an ongoing monthly subscription that is impossible to cancel.
AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

It is great that there is a company out there to go to quickly and with one tap an all alert will be sent out and less worrying that my dog is not lost forever thank you very much for the greatest of caring for our 4 legged friends that we all love so very much.

EDIT:
7/9/26. They did refund me after this review, but didn't refund me when I had initially asked via email.
They still claim that "a subscription was not automatically set up for you. We do have an optional paid subscription tier, but this is never set up without the express consent of our users." I was charged and when I went into their customer portal I had been signed up for premium, without my consent.
1. I ordered this "free" product thinking it had to be a free trial, and if I like it I would pay. I had no idea I'd automatically be signed up for a subscription without my permission. I like the whole idea of it, and if they weren't so scammy, I would pay. I signed up on a laptop, not through the app, not sure if app would have been a better experience but I don't need another app.
2. It automatically did a "snout id" of my leg, giving me no warning what it was doing, and no option at the time to redo it. Like FaceID on a phone.
3. It said it would send notifications if dog was ever lost to veterinarians within a five mile radius of my house, but my vet is outside that area. Again, no option to correct it during signup.
4. Then my only option after that was to click "Complete" and it charged me $11. I've seen other online comments with different prices - so pricing is somehow variable. I assume they kept my charge info from the $4.00 to ship the "free" item, even though I didn't authorize them to keep that. They did offer me a discount 2 days later when I clicked on cancel.
5. When I said I wanted to cancel, I wasn't given the option for a refund, just info on how to cancel so I won't be charged again.

Paid $4 USD for the tag. After I completed the activation I was surprised to receive a receipt for a $11 per month "Premium" subscription. I did kot realize I was subscribing. Premium has lots of additional brnefits but be sure you want the $11/month charge .

I only chose 1 star because I couldn't choose 0. Very misleading to promise FREE tag. There was a £3 charge initially which I presumed was to cover p&p. I received no fewer that 11 emails pressurising to get the account set up, plus texts. Thee then followed a subscription payment which had not been mentioned and I had not authorised. Emails to them unanswered and texts not accepted. Spent hours trying to cancel which I eventually did through my bank. AVOID

Having decided to cancel my subscription I am absolutely frustrated by the rigmarole of getting out of the contract and the cost to do so. I was contacted by an unknown source to pay £9.99 to deactivate my contact that is disgraceful. They were polite and explained they’re part in the procedure but I am as an OAP disgusted at having to pay money to terminate my association when I can no longer find the money to bow out of the contract.

The tag should be a great idea. However, the free tag auto-activates the premium sub, you need to cancel it, which is a joke or scam?
AI bot reply from Crumb's website:
That £9 charge is for your Premium subscription, which activates once your tag is set up. It includes additional features like scan location alerts and free replacements.
If you didn't intend to subscribe, I'm sorry for the surprise! Would you like to cancel it? If so, I can guide you through the cancellation steps.

Nice idea, bad you're scamming people.

Wish I hadn't ordered I bought a free tag with £3 paid shipping for my mum and her dog then saw on my bank days later I had been charged a further £9 well we hadn't even set up the account yet and I certainly didn't sign up for subscriptions or anything else the website is very unclear that you pay a monthly fee and because I bought it for my mum they have been really difficult on email because I am not the account holder and won't speak to me even though it's my bank they have withdrawn my money from, have now requested refund through PayPal but not impressed at all need to be alot more transparent about costs and unknowingly setting up recurring fees to peoples accounts very sneaky, it clearly says free online and in my receipt.

Very easy to get registered and cost of the service is very economical. I wish it would have been disclosed better in the original advertising, I think the emphasis on FREE is eye catching and it is not noticeable that there is a monthly subscription fee. I still would have invested in the service but it needs to be more transparent on the cost.

I'm excited about this company and what it can do. I keep telling everyone all about it. Hopefully, we will never have to use it as it is meant to be used. My puppy lost her collar, and Crumb was quick to reply and remake a new one. We travel often and this gives me peace of mind.

Signed up to premium, never got a tag. I still haven’t got a tag, but they took the money anyway. I navigated the unhelpful help, awful chat bot, only to find you can’t chat with customer service. Wait for an email which just told me how to cancel my subscription, no mention of tag. So I email back - only to get an email confirming I cancelled my account and telling me how amazing it is that I cancelled still use my tag, which obviously I can’t. Dismal.

Ordered the tag and it came with in 48 hours , kept getting emails immediately asking my to activate it so I went on and set up the profile, within 5 minutes get a notification to say money had been taking from my account. On checking apparently I had signed up for premium which was never an option and would be charged monthly going forward, I cancelled the tag immediately and asked for a refund . Still waiting for a reply

Not sure why y need to pay £5 to keep ur dogs protected like i understand they need some money but £2 a month sounds better as its a good price

Reply from Crumb
I received my tags for both my dogs, and it was very easy to register them both. I believe this would be better than microchip. Would recommend them to all my friends and family.
