Great carers & great team!

Lucinda and Tania from the management team were so kind, understanding, and helpful in what was a difficult situation for me with my father.

They helped my understand the Curam platform and made sure I got the right help from the right carers. I also know that they will always be available to help in the future. Really great team!

Highly Recommend for Live-In Care Support

We had a very positive experience with Curam Care when arranging live-in support for my parents. My mum has dementia and my father is severely sight impaired, so finding the right carers felt like a daunting process at first.

Lucinda was particularly wonderful throughout. She guided me step by step, helping me understand how the process works, what questions to ask, and what qualities to look for in a carer so that we could find the right fit for my parents’ needs. Her support and reassurance made what initially felt overwhelming much easier to manage.

Thanks to her help, we now have two superb self-employed live-in carers on a rota. They have both been excellent with my parents and provide the consistency, care and companionship we were hoping for.

I would highly recommend Curam Care to anyone looking for support arranging live-in care for loved ones. The guidance, professionalism and personal approach made a real difference.

A really positive experience from start to finish

User-friendly website and app to sign up and post a job; very helpful staff at the end of the phone when I had questions and needed advice; absolutely lovely carer.
Our first time using carers to support our elderly parents and it was a really positive experience from start to finish. Will definitely use Curam Carers again.

Live at home care

I like being able to choose live in carers, not have an agency pick them - Curam support have been excellent getting me set up and so far it's worked very well

Wait before you write a review

Initially I was asked for a review
based on my initial contact they seemed to totally understanding of the care I was looking for. I was sent 7 applicants details to be in touch with. They were local carers. In my sign up I'd stated the time of day the help was needed. I also stated for how long I needed someone contracted for.
I had 1 response but then when I contacted the carer they didn't have the time availability.
I'd been in touch with a number of other companies as well. Yes it was difficult. But after calling to say I hadn't had feedback from the rest of the other apparent candidates 2 more replied immediately to say that the hours required they couldn't cover. I guess the management gave them a kick to reply. I'm not blaming the carers at all. They were clearly busy having been booked with other clients. So why were those candidates suggested. Clearly the management team would have some idea of their work commitments.
When I called today to cancel their "search" for me I was told.. could you not have tried to get 2 carers to share the days required. I hadn't been told this was an option. Good carers are hard to find. If these poor people are being subjected to this type of supervision I strenuously feel this is bad. So no..I would not recommend this company.

From our records we can see you’ve been self-managing your care. Self-managed care gives you the freedom to choose when you want care and who cares for you. This means you can organise carers around your needs, so if you’re finding it tricky to find just one carer for your care hours, you have the freedom to choose more than one, it’s completely up to you.
Curam carers are always asked to reply to messages as soon as they can, this is best practice across the platform. Our self-employed carers are not under supervision, but part of a community. If you feel you need more support to find carers for your needs, you may want to reach out to our Managed Care Team, this will come at a premium to self-managed care. Awful app. Okay, if you can find the right people, but not very intuitive.

Awful app that I keep getting them to try and fix. It’s been several years now and I just get a reply. Oh yes, we’ll take your feedback into account.

Great company, i will definetely use them again in the future.I joined Curam as i was in desperate…

I joined Curam as i was in desperate need for a live in carer for my 2 autistic boys, i got a call from Lucinda after a few minutes of joining and she explained everything to me and she helped me post an advert for the person i was looking for, after 1 hour of posting i started getting messages from ladies who were interested but eventually i picked one the next day and i made payment after doing a video call with the chosen carer, she showed up on the agreed day on time and i went to london leaving her in charge of the house and the kids, we kept in touch for the 1 week i was away and all went well.I can't thank Curam enough for being so understanding and fast to find me a professional carer in such short notice which was less than a week.I would definetely recommend them and i will definetely use them in the future.

Having MND it was time to give the rest…

Having MND it was time to give the rest of the family a break from caring for me. This is the first experience of having a carer Debby Parker has been caring for me for the last four days. She has been absolutely outstanding and nothing has been too much trouble. I now have confidence in having excellent care for the future. Many many thanks Debby. You have made a massive difference.

Highly recommended. Our carer is a treasure

It was very easy to engage the services of a carer through Curam. Sarah has now been working for us for several weeks and we couldn't have asked for a better carer. She is 100% reliable; sensitive and caring; eager to help wherever she can; hardworking and she is friendly and cheerful. In fact she is a treasure!

At the request of Curam we are currently writing a lengthy complaint regarding the 5 carers in 5 months we’ve had from Curam - definitely would not recommend anyone uses this site.

Curam operates as a self-managed introductory platform, connecting clients with self-employed Care Professionals. This model is designed to give both parties choice and flexibility. Care Professionals are independent and may decide whether or not they feel able to accept or continue with a particular arrangement.

Following a full review of the history of bookings, concerns raised, and the suitability of the arrangements in place, we have concluded that our platform is not the right fit for your current requirements. For this reason, we have taken the decision to close both accounts. Our priority is to ensure that care arrangements are appropriate, safe, and sustainable for both clients and Care Professionals. Given the level and complexity of support required, a more structured agency-led or residential setting may be better suited to your needs.

Perfect for those inexperienced at hiring a carer

I can't tell you how happy I am with the experience I got from Curam. I've never had to hire a carer before and I needed to get something arranged at short notice. Lucinda from Curam was great with me, she took time to explain how everything worked, gave me advice about process and hiring a carer in general and regularly stayed in touch to make sure everything went smoothly. I was able to get a quick shortlist of applicants and interview them within days. All of the carers on the platform that I interacted with were great, they were all really patient and understanding.

The app helped keep everything together that you need, made it super easy to hire someone with clear details about the arrangements.

And when the first carer has to withdraw unexpectedly due to illness, the team at Curam were super quick to help me get a replacement at the last minute, and quite frankly Sakhi who did took over was incredible with my Dad. I felt reassured my Dad was well looked after and Sakhi did a great job of enabling my Dad's independence and providing companionship. Both myself and my Dad were super grateful to him.

Overall, fantastic experience from the team at Curam and the carers too.

I would really recommend Curam

I would really recommend Curam. I was matched with an excellent carer for my mum. The whole process is very straightforward. I would recommend employing a self-employed carer through Curam rather than using an agency, as it is much better value.

Very helpful staff

Very helpful staff . I am not computer savvy but having been made aware of this a very nice lady rang me regularly to make sure things were going smoothly. This gave me confidence and I was able to ring her if I needed
I have an amazing lady looking after my father who is 100. She has the patience of a saint and we all love her because she is so kind to him even though there are difficult situations for her at times. He was in hospital last summer and the consultant told me his body was closing down and I must prepare myself for the worst so I requested he be returned home as he has a full time live in carer. This wonderful lady, Iris, has brought him back to life . She is always cheerful, positive and helpful. No one could have done more than she is doing and I thank God every day that she has come into our lives.
