Brought a washing machine paid £45 to…

Brought a washing machine paid £45 to have it installed and old one removed. Old one removed but the delivery refused to plumb in the new one as it was hard wired also they were rude didn’t even offer to plumb it in and I had to in plumb the old one and wiring if I hadn’t they would of left it there and the new one which was not even in packaging in the middle of my kitchen. So would not recommend them as a company to anyone.

I would give no stars if I could

I would give no stars if I could. Paid to have a dishwasher installed today and the new one is faulty. They have taken it back and my old dishwasher. I was advised to contact customer services. 40 minutes later after being on hold was told that I couldn’t have a refund as the delivery people would have to cancel the order first. Explained I was a nurse working through covid lockdown and had to take time Off and the operator put the phone down on me! I’m now left with no dishwasher and £370 out of pocket with no solution and now on hold again for 30 mins and still waiting. NEVER WILL I BUY ANYTHING FROM CURRYS PC WORLD AGAIN. Absolutely disgusted!!!

Do not buy a Fridge freezer from Currys

Do not buy a Fridge/freezer from them.

I was told that I should have known to pay for installation to get the fridge into the property even though I didn't want it installed yet. Just moved into another room ready for the kitchen fitters coming. There was no information on the website about the size including the box. The delivery driver was sighing and couldn't be bothered as soon as I opened the door. He was immediately finding issues. Delivery was attempted before help lines were open (0715). Service from helpline when open was non existent. As a result I have canceled my order and will be now ordering from a competitor. This could have easily been avoided through simple customer service. Instead I am without a fridge and almost £1000 for weeks through no fault of my own. No compensation for this but instead told it is my fault for not reading the installation part of the website (despite again not needing it installed yet). If every fridge freezer of this type needs the doors off to deliver why isn't this advised on the page where you purchase the product from? Or even better offered as standard with the delivery? I live in an old property with internal doors that are bigger than most modern builds but I was told they were too small too. Advised they couldn’t take the doors off as I would have had to pre-arrange it and pay for it so would need to wait for another slot. No chance I’d rather spend my money with another company if I am to wait anyway.

I was misold a chrome book

I was misold a chrome book. It didn’t meet my expectations at all. I had to buy a laptop to meet my needs. Then the chrome book lost its screen, it was useless to me anyhow. Then it broke again despite the repair within a year Curries have said they won’t help. I will never buy from Curries again. Amazon are so much better to their customers, so long, farewell...

Awful service

I bought a Hoover Undercounter fridge for my 90 year old mother and paid for delivery, installation and removal of her old appliance. I also purchased a care package.

THe fridge was delivered on Monday 7th December. However, my mother is struggling to open the door as the legs/height have not been adjusted and therefore the fridge is too low and is catching on the kitchen flooring.

At 90 years old it is not possible for my mother to do this and in any event I assumed this is what i paid installation for.

I emailed on the 8th December but have had no response. I live 150 miles away from my mother so am unable to help her.

I appreciate at this time you are very busy but I cannot leave my mother with a fridge she is unable to open properly. I have no indicat.ion of how long it is going to be before you contact me so I have had to arrange a friend to visit her today to see if they can adjust the legs for her.

I therefore would like to request a refund of the installation charge as clearly this was not carried out to a satisfactory standard.

Rejected and Ignored

My partner and I waited until Black Friday to purchase some appliances from currys. To our dismay some of the items were out of stock and so I hoped and waited till cyber Monday. We struck luck because all the items on our wish list were in stock and ready for order. However when We proceeded to entering our delivery details, Currys notified us that they did not deliver in our current area, the site instead suggested We click and collect, which was super inconvenient because We wanted to order a fridge freezer, washing machine and television all really heavy big ticket items. However my partner and I decided we could rent a van since we didn’t want to miss out on the deals, so we opted to pick up the goods. Only to our dismay when we entered our post code on the Currys website it stated that there were no nearby delivery points. We were flustered to say the least and couldn’t understand why this was the case. We lived in NW2 before and never had any issues but now we moved to SE6 we noticed this issue. Out of sheer curiosity we entered in our old post code in NW2 and there were both delivery and pick up options.... imagine our shock. We were so excited, a budget of just over £1000 to buy our items to be treated in this way. There were no indicators on their website to say that they were not accommodating persons in specific Post codes because had we known we would not have wasted our time. It would be great though if Currys could kindly explain why they’ve chosen to service certain boroughs and not others.

Response to the elusive Ryan

Good afternoon Ryan , thanks so much for your response. I have already tried to return the offending item to your Shrewsbury store, but they refused ( although this goes completely against your returns policy, which I have a copy of). So they tell me I don’t have a returns code, whatever that mystical thing may be. If the two members of staff that I spoke to had sent me one, my trip would not have been a waste of time. So please do oblige me with a code.

I have a washing machine from curry’…

I have a washing machine from curry’s that has broken down. I purchased an extended warranty. The machine went wrong on the 11th September, I called was waiting 40+ minutes and got cut off in the middle of conversation. I called back roughly 40 minutes again to be told I would get an appointment in two days. No call!! called Again roughly 40 minutes in que again to be told I would receive a call within 72 hours. Again I had to call back asked to speak to a manager as the service was disgusting to be told there wasn’t one. I said I was going to put a complaint in and within a couple of days I have a random txt saying engineer would be with me on the Tuesday not was that day convenient. He turned up said he was not team knowhow but was helping with the overflow. He took my part out replaced with a part that looked nothing like the one he took out. He left it’s still coming up with E07 and not fixed. Called again roughly 40 minutes in que to be told he would send an email to repair team. Still not fixed. They have a policy 7day fix promise or it gets written off and you get a new one. This company are treating people so badly not just me. Don’t buy from them and don’t touch their insurance. I would give a 0 if I could

I’ve given one star when in fact I…

I’ve given one star when in fact I would give none.
It’s taken 4 months for me to return an item and get a refund. That includes 6 hours on the phone before I gave up on that method, with two calls being cut off by them. 12 messages and exchanges on Facebook, for which I had one response then nothing again.
Two paper letters to the Sheffield head office, no response. A number of posts on their page, I only got a response when I said I worked in healthcare- then one email starting the process and then nothing.
I finally got the email address of the CEO from the facebook support group, got a response that told me to do what I couldn’t, no open shop and no shop refunds for PayPal purchased items. Then another email, all of mine included copies of the letters, FB messages, images of the lengthy phone calls, and previous emails. Finally after 4 months I got action and finally last Friday a refund after the item was collected, under the name Dixon’s. I’ve paid interest in the card I used to purchase and for all the phone calls and letters delivered registered delivery. I’ve asked for that money back in compensation and heard nothing.
There are thousands of stories like mine. And still they sell, sell, sell. Don’t buy from them, just don’t. They are abysmally incapable of any decent service.

Customer service very poor

Ordered cooker Thursday night, received it fine on Friday. Realised once installed that it was damaged, rang customer services immediately and after 1Hour 45 mins on hold to customer services, it closed, spent another 2 hours on phone from 8.30am on the phone again being connected to wrong departments and redirected I finally got through, offered small discount, an insult after the time I had waited to get through and the inconvenience caused, not having a cooker in lockdown, no apology from team for inconvenience, new cooker coming Saturday.

In these difficult times I understand there are delays, the order and delivery was very good, inspite of the virus, but Customer service was confusing And very poor. Curry’s are happy to take customers money but not interested if there is a problem.

Won’t be using again

I bought my cooker 7 months ago

I bought my cooker 7 months ago! Monday last week the oven stopped working! My PREGNANT partner was on hold for 1-5 hrs on the Monday only for someone to put the phone down! She finally got a response on Facebook and after two days they agreed to exchange it! We are now 7 days without a cooker and no emails or further responses! We also have a 3 year old and as I’m sure you can imagine being in lockdown with no cooker is severely challenging! I tried calling 3 times today and each time switchboard put me through to complaints/replacements and each time I got through it put the phone down saying closed, even though it says it’s open until 5! The last try called today which was my fourth call I was on hold 45 minutes and as it went over 5pm it cut off!

So I still have no cooker and no help from the company I bought it off with all the protection purchased when it was promised I would be looked after

Although this being a long message, I am speechless to find such poor service especially in these times!

Canvas Boards

In March maintaining my diligence at social distancing I ordered canvas boards on line from Curry's.
The service was a bit slow but I left that up to today's way of life.
The 6 canvases arrived fine. I had 4 pcs 16 x 20 that I have worked on and they are alright.
However, the 2 pcs that are 18 x 24 were so thin and cheap that they warped awful after I painted on them.
I am so disappointed thinking Curry's was top of the line but the boards I used in the past from Michaels are
much better. I will think twice about using Curry's again. Sorry.

A waste of several hours trying to…

A waste of several hours trying to resolve a faulty cooker. Engineer came to fix after 9 days, he replaced loads of parts and cooker still not functioning.
I’ve bought the Customer Care package for a 7 day repair, replace or refund. We are now 13 days since the fault reported and still having to cook on a camp stove for my family which includes a 5 and 6 year old.
The exact replacement cooker costs £2100 in curry’s and they issued me with a £1699.99 credit. Said they’d replace like for like but we don’t want the same cooker as they seem unreliable (seems fair enough).
If you ask for your money back this then won’t happen until existing cooker picked up and then refund will be processed. Which by all accounts and reviews could take weeks.
So no cooker, no option for replacing and no refund.....back to the camping stove.
Utter disgrace and care package a total con for the first 12 months as they will look to the manufacturer to sort, not themselves.

Curry’s

Not a lot of point in sending curry’s a copy of my review or sending apologies have been let down by them. I regret not finding these reviews before trying to purchase from them, obviously they expect their drivers to deliver too many in one day for them to keep running out of driving hours. Other companies seem to be able to deliver next day but curry’s take 5-6 days and still can’t do it.
