We do however check in from time to time to ensure no customers had issues and if they have we do reach out to them and we expect this to continue under Ares. CUSTOMPC.IE ceased selling components and accessories on the 30th of September 2024. All custom desktop pcs , laptops , servers and workstations with warranty have been transfered and all customers have received new contact information to ensure they have even better support than we have been able to provide over the last 15 years. Custom Computers and Technologie Limited is no longer involved with CUSTOMPC.IE We would like to thank our loyal customers in Ireland and everywhere else and we would like to ensure all of our customers are aware that they have support from A.C.T. who have sent emails to all customers providing new support information and details. Our decision to cease selling components and accessories came from this being a service we started in 2021 to assist customers impacted by the rules change with regards Brexit in January of 2021. This service was never intended to be in place for 4 years. Unfortunately we had to cease providing this service after consultation with our core customers and we provided 120 days notice of the end of component sales. The transfer of CUSTOMPC.IE was never intended to take place in the same year however we felt this change would ensure continuity and better support across Europe and in ireland for our customers who had purchased custom pcs , laptops , servers and workstations. Component and accessory sales were reasponsible for less than 20% of or sales however 80% of our support tickets were from this 20% and this had impacted the level of support we could provide to the many customers who relied on us for support for their workstations , servers , gaming pcs and laptops which is why we took the decision to cease selling components and accessories. The opportunity to ensure a better level of support from our core customers came about as an added bonus and we could not refuse the opportunity given what this meant for our loyal customers. Support is still available direct at CUSTOMPC.IE and through the normal emails and we do not believe this will change given there was an undertaking to ensure the same email addresses were to be live for at least 12 months. The CUSTOMPC.IE brand is not part of the ARES Group and we expect the brand be taken to new heights by ARES.

One of my sticks of ram was a bag of haribo instead.

I am building two servers for this project. I ordered components from several different vendors to assess which ones I want to work with in future. I entrusted CustomPC with the RAM (2x32G).

CustomPC were the cheapest in terms of list price by ~10%.
CustomPC were the only company that actually sent stock from inside Ireland.

Custom PC were the slowest to deliver (12 days).
They pestered me with the most emails by far, including signing me up to an email newsletter which I didn't ask for.
They had a complex ordering process including forcing an account and autogenerating a password which was sent in the clear.
Only one stick of RAM arrived (it looks like this problem occurred during the ordering process as they only charged me for one as well).
CustomPC charged the most for delivery (nearly 10 euros).

Inexplicably, most of the package I received (by weight) was a bag of sweets. Which are inedible to me because they contain pork gelatin. Needless to say, they are also incompatible with the motherboard, so Server #2 is currently waiting on RAM I have just ordered from a different vendor.

They could have kept my business with:
1. Simplified checkout
2. No newsletter / mandatory account / gimmicks
3. Faster, cheaper delivery

Our Checkout has been designed by Amasty and it is an award winning design which powers thousands of website. We have never had any complaint about our Checkout needing to be simplified however we do constantly update our website and checkout.

The item you ordered was not a stock item and stated a delivery timeframe of 12 to 15 business days. We shipped the order you placed with the quantity within the order.

We always provide a small thank you usually in the form of Irish Made Jellies. We do not know the eating habits of our customers however we have never had any complaints regards the thousands of free jellies we have sent with orders over the last 5+ years. I am sorry the jellies were not to your liking.

We do everything possible to insure our customers are kept updated on their orders through all stages. The account sign up and newsletter sign up is within the control of the customer when placing their order. The customer is also advised to change the password after they login for the first time using the automated password.

The delivery charge on our website is subsidised and is provided by DPD who are Irelands best based on customer feed back. We have chosen to use a higher cost service from DPD rather than to lower the cost with an inferior delivery service.

We offer next day delivery on over 1000 items on our website with multiple options available in most categories. It is not possible to stock all items in Ireland given how small the market is.

though it took a while for my delivery to arrive once the order was updated it was delivered within 2 days and i received a free upgrade to an 8gb 3050 rather than the 4gb one i ordered.

Avoid CUSTOMPC at all cost. The amount of complaints they have is staggering. They have a really bad customer service. Delivery times are very long. They will display items as "in stock" but you have to wait for a long time before anything updates. I ordered a monitor AOC CU34g2xp last 11th March. Got a delivery on 23rd March. To my surprise it was the wrong model. An older version of the one I ordered. Really ridiculous. They did not bother to reply to my emails. No communication since then. Its clearly a rip off. There are a lot of bad reviews about them. I wonder why they are still open. I will file a formal court complaint. This is really an awful experience

Unless you order a monitor from our Next Day Range the stated delivery tmeframe is 10 business days for monitors. When you place an order the SKU and EAN codes are displayed in the order and it is the information we use to ensure the correct item is picked , packed and shipped. Our order management system was not at fault however it does seem that the manufacturer were using duplicate EAN numbers in their description which they were sending to ICE CAT which is why there were 2 versions of the same monitor with 2 different prices listed on our websites and on thousands of other websites across Europe. We have brought the EAN issue to the attention of the manufacturer and my understanding is that we already changed the monitor for you.

Shockingly slow. Awful experience.

I placed an order 10th March for literally 2 things. I still haven't gotten them. The thing hasn't changed status from "pending" since I placed the order. This is getting ridiculous. I've messaged the whatsapp, sent support ticket requests, emailed. Nothing. This is just crazy.

PENDING would mean we have not received payment or there is a security review by the merchant processor. If an order has been paid for it moves to " processing " straight away.

Our decision related to the selling of components and accessories being a temporary service to help customers impacted by Brexit Custom Controls in January 2021. We did received 20 times the normal amount of orders in the final days of September which did create issue. As the service was ending on the last day of September any orders not processed or available were cancelled and refunded and an email sent to the customer or when possible a phone call was made..

The item I ordered was out of stock. In fairness I did receive an email alerting me to the fact and offering a refund. However the 'out of stock' item was still being advertised for sale days later, how many other people fell into this trap? It took seconds for my payment to go through, but I'm told it can take 10 working days to get the refund! Into the 2nd week now and still waiting.......

We process refunds within 24 hours however the card issuer can take far longer to return the payment and this is out of our control. Our websites updates at 8AM and 8PM with all stock updated and the non local history of orders updated. If we told you and item was out of stock for example at 4PM it should not be possible for the item to show as in stock later than 8PM. Unfortunately it is however possible for someone to have an item held in a basket and then to release which can change the stock availability numbers outside of the stock update.

Purchase your items elsewhere.

Waiting 2 months for a refund,

Order was made and amended - the team were good at replying initially and said they processed the refund as store credit and forwarded the refund request to higher management - they then said it would take up to 35 working days to process it as a refund and store credit would be removed from my account when refund is processed. I stated firmly that I wanted the difference refunded, not as store credit.

Confirmation of amendment was made on January 5th 2024, since then no refund has been processed, when I followed up I was referred to the t&c's which does not mention working days. I have tried time and time again to contact them through their various public means and have received no correspondence since 12th of Jan when I was referred to said t&c's. They have gone completely ghost on me.

The store credit still remains in the account despite several requests for the refund to be processed, well over the 30 days mark now even 35 working days as they falsely stated.

The items that were dispatched arrived promptly and were correct and fully functional, however dealing with their customer service has been a joke.

We process refunds and credits usually within 1-2 days however the receiving card issuers can take considerable periods to apply the credit or refund and unfortunately this is our of our control. If a refund takes longer than 10 business days our advice would be to contact your card issuer or bank. You can then ask them to process a chargeback which usually results in the original credit being applied quickly.

Provided fantastic service from start…

Provided fantastic service from start to finish, responded to any support requests quickly. Usually within a couple of hours and the PC arrived within the timeframe provided and is perfect.

Unfortunately when a PC is damaged in transit and has been signed for we must involve the carrier and our insurer. We do however not expect the customer to wait for the insurance company to authorise and pay for the damage however we do have to allow them the time to send someone to inspect the damage. We would normally repair or replace a damaged in transit PC within 7 days however this does depend on availability of components however we do prioritise the build and ship as quickly as possible.

Horrible customer service. 2 months waiting for a refund

Very difficult communication. I've requested a refund on the 10th of January 2024. Today is the 10th of March, 2 months have passed and I still haven't got my money back. They just ignore my messages and emails.

Once we process a credit or a refund we have no control over how long the card issuer takes to process the credit/refund to the card holders account. We do however advise customers to contact their card issuer after 10 days and ask to process a chargeback as our experience is that this request can magically make the credit/refund appear in the card holders account quickly.

I have resent the emails to you and I can see there has been no bounce backs so the
issue must be with GMAIL. Please contact their support and I am sure they will be able
to assist you. You can also log into your account to view and order status as well as emails sent. The order status is always updated on your account first and I can confirm
your PC is showing as PROCESSING and not at a BUILD STAGE and the reason for this is that the HUMM API has sent new information which changed your order status. I can see your HUMM transaction did take quiet some time to be cleared. I will send an email to HUMM asking for them to update the transaction as they should not be changing orders which have already moved to a BUILD STAGE. I will update you through your account when I get news from HUMM.

Eamonn , Custom Gaming Desktop PCs take 10 to 12 business days to be built and tested and this is stated on our website and in the order confirmation email you received. You placed your order on the 24th of February 2024 so the earliest ETA would be the 12th of March 2024. Many PCs are built and shipped inside the stated time frame however the more complicated the build the bigger the chance the testing stage will add time at the end. We would never release a PC which was not fully tested just to get it shipped. We have sent you multiple emails updating you about your order including the PENDING , PROCESSING , PRE BUILD and BUILD STAGE emails so if you are not receiving our emails you need to check your spam settings. We are sending to a GMAIL address belong to you and I am sure GMAIL did tell you that they made security changes in February which may create issues receiving emails. Our server is in Ireland so there should be no issues witht the new rules when we sent you an email. I also need to point out that your payment method HUMM is an offline payment method and must be security verified and this does add 2-3 working days to the order delivery time. You can speak to HUMM and they will explain the reasons for the delay to you. We will build your PC , test and ship as quickly as possible but we will not cut corners to ship the PC faster. Can you please resonsider your review given we have not even supplied your pc at this stage. Thank you

Robert , The Network item you order was not an instock item and had a stated delivery timeframe of 10 business days. You ordered on the 15.02.24 and we shipped on the 26.02.24 which was withint the stated delivery ETA. There were however similar UBIQUITI POE ADAPTERS available for next day delivery within our NEXT DAY RANGE and the cost difference was €0.34. If you order items from our NEXT DAY RANGE we generally ship orders placed before 1.30PM the same day and delivery is with DPD the next business day. I am sorry you did not realise this when placing your order. Could you please reconsider your review. You will see from the order confirmation email that we did state the delivery ETA which was stated as 10+ Business Days. We do keep UBIQUITI items in stock for next day delivery given the POE Adapters are popular. We did not notify you after you placed the order that there was an alternative available for next day delivery and the reason for this was that your part number was different to the in stock item with one being white and the other black. They SKUs were however totally different which is why our warehouse did not notice and offer you the in stock item even though it was a different colour
