Every member of staff of Daish - coach drive, hotel staff and email information was brilliant. Would highly recommend this company.

Bargain holidays for little money

I have been on many Daish holidays over the last few years and they represent outstanding value for money, in-fact I would be surprised if any other holiday coach company can beat them on price..the hotels are not 4 star but then Daish do not charge 4 star prices. The coaches are always clean and maned with helpful drivers And the food has always been very satisfactory..well done daish keep doing what you’re doing

Gone downhill in a massive way.

Devastated at the changes at the Devonshire hotel. I went for 2 holidays together. The company has made many changes due to covid I suppose but not having nearly enough staff is frankly stupid. Housekeeping cut to 5 days a week so every second day of a holiday no service and they are rushed off their feet. The hotel frankly was grubby as well in many places.
A customer had his room robbed whilst everyone at dinner and apparently the manager could not have been more unhelpful, did not even warn customers not to leave handbags etc in rooms. The drivers are bad tempered as a whole because they are badly treated ie. Rooms not cleaned no meal sometimes and sent from one end of the country to the other after driving all day and humping cases. No wonder they are handing in their notice in droves. The menu has been set so that every hotel has the same, how boring is that and who had that stupid idea?. So now even the chefs have no creative say. Who stood out as excellent? Nelson, the consummate host and professional and Jess Padden who served us for the last 2 days. The waiter before that was abysmal. No Simon Singleton to entertain, not everyone's cup of tea but the place seemed dead. And, so woke now not even allowed to say 2 fat ladies for no.88 at bingo. God, what happened to business sanity. I will never go again with Daish's holidays, it utterly depressed me and I have been to the Devonshire for more than 30 holidays. Disgusted at the changes to my second home.

A company that seems to have lost its way

A 5 day Daish holiday to IOW staying at Daish Hotel Shanklin
A poor experience all round. The hotel looks fine from the outside and has a pleasant garden and thats about all one can say in its favour.
The food was poor and sometimes worse than poor. It looks like the company has cut too many corners to reduce costs with little regard for its customers. The whole dining room experience was like being processed, everyone in at the same time and out in an hour.
Our Daish coach was very late reached the hotel at18.25 and dinner was still served at 18.30 regardless!! Take it or leave it.
The coach was good but not the journey there and the driver didnt seem bothered about how it affected his customers on a very hot day.
My first and last trip with them.

Hotel Prince Regent Weymouth

Having been taken to the Hotel Prince Regent in Weymouth by Alpha Coaches for a 4 night stay. The initial thoughts of the Hotel were ok.However the room was very small and filled with what could only be described as utility furniture.Even the table was an oval coffee table.however the main concern was the standard or lack of standard of the food, if one could call it food. It was disgustingly poor quality, under cooked and hardly warm.I cannot emphasise enough how bad it was, only to say the coach driver even refused to eat there. As all the guests staying were over pensionable age it was an insult to present food of such inferior quality. If one was served food of such poor quality in an eating establishment one would be claiming and rightly so, a refund I understand from speaking to a lot of them they were going to complain bitterly on sites such as this and to Daishs who were the hotel owners as we were led to believe. Also to Alpha Coaches who had booked the hotel as part of the excursion to Weymouth. It was also apparent that the number of staff were unable to cope with the number of guests who were dining. It appeared that the manager and the dining supervisor had only been there a matter of weeks and appeared not to have had any formal training. The whole Hotel experience was disasterous and a complete waste of money as far as the food was concerned.

Heartless Rutheless business! Having travelled with Daishs three…

Having travelled with Daishs coaches three times last year my friend and I were entitled to a half price holiday each. Also, because our rooms were burgled at the Imperial hotel Eastbourne on one of the holidays in April they gave us a £50 voucher. So we booked a holiday using the vouchers and our half price discount which amounted to £184.50 and I had also paid £50 deposit when booking in July. However, I have had to cancel because my 77 year old husband has advanced stage Mesothelioma lung cancer. He’s very ill and I am looking after him. Daishs have refused to let me carry the vouchers and half price discount over to another holiday when I am able to go. Also they refuse to refund or carry over the £50 deposit. So with the disappointment of not being able to go I’ve lost the discount, and the £50 voucher for their negligence regarding the hotel burglary I earned, plus £50 deposit. I can’t claim for vouchers from my holiday insurance. How heartless can a business get??

not a learning organisation

An organisation that should have a lot going for it, revitalising the British holiday hotel business yet gearing it to the elderly and those without transport. basic home some food, served promptly, with live entertainment and two rounds of bingo to boot, is this nirvana?
Unfortunately no, it is what was called an 'unlearning organisation' it believes in itself and is unable to accept learning opportunities. It is in the past and like much of or service industry from the past is about to sleep with the dinosaurs!
I state this review after offering needed constructive comments following an alarming nose dive in management at their sands hotel in Bournemouth,
They could have noted the problem investigated and acted, instead they closed their mind and discounted it, learning opportunity missed.
It is sad to see such a level of management incompetence that is bound inevitable to end in the demise of a company and redundancy for staff through a simple inability to learn.
