I have used Dark Spere (mail order) on many occasions in the past and the service has always been excellent. I've never had any major issues and any minor problems have been sorted quickly and efficiently.

Dark Sphere were amazing from start to finish. I ordered a load of Pokemon celebrations in June and they came through with every, single thing. Not only did they keep in contact amazingly, the items were way cheaper than anywhere else I saw, even at RRP! Fast cheap postage, I can’t rate them high enough. As much as I want to keep them my secret - I also want them to get the recognition they deserve on an impeccable service from start to finish. I got my celebrations UPC thank you guys you’re the best ✌️Can’t wait to order with you again

Placed an order earlier in the year for the Pokemon Celebrations set which came out today and it's just arrived, all in perfect condition! The prices were excellent and I've been kept up to date on delays to some of the products in good time (these delays have affected everybody, it's a Pokemon/Supply issue not Darksphere themselves!)

First time visiting the shop on Saturday 21st August 2021. Very busy with what looked like a 40k tournament but all of the retail stock was shoved to the sides of the shop behind tables and other obstacles. The shop assistant tried to help me pick out miniatures but as I was there browsing rather than with a specific model/s in mind, it was awkward to say the least. Apparently, there has been a lot of theft from the shop so that is why the stock was out of bounds to customers and we were told this was how things would be going forward. Overall, the place felt like a chaotic games convention (I hope the shop charges players using the space by the way!) where retail shoppers come second. Really disappointed as I think this could be a fantastic shop if somebody sat down, thought about the shoppers experience, and spent some time to reorganise everything.

I have made three seperate orders with Darksphere and been very happy with all of then. The key is to check the stock before your order. My first two orders were dispatched quickly and recieved in good time. The 3rd took a little longer but I knew this would be the case as there was 0 stock on one item and expected delivery was a week later. Once they had the stock, item was dispatched that day and arrived a day later. Check the stock and you won't have issues. Also used FB messenger to ask a question and got a quick response. Very happy

I have shopped with darksphere for years. When things are in stock they are ok and prices are good.
When you have problems, their customer services are unprofessional and unhelpful.
I recently ordered 2 items - one is made to order so will be ready within 6 months. The other was in stock already. Their customer services refuse to ship one item without the other unless I pay £3.80 for additional shipping - something not clear at the point of purchase.

From now on I'll shop elsewhere - which is a shame due to their short sighted approach to customer care.

Absolutely love the place. Guys are always on top of there game and work so hard. Always happy to assist and help with any requests, I had in past years. Even in pandemic they still doing great job and support our hobbies, the only joy in recent year.
Keep it up and hope to visit your stores in person soon.

I haven't had to contact the shop so I can't comment on the customer service issues mentioned in previous reviews, however I've placed 3 online orders in the last 3 months and all have arrived in full and within 48 hours of being placed. Massive stock and good prices mean Dark Sphere has become my go-to hobby shop.

Absolutely clueless when it comes to cutomer service. The prices may be ok but everything else is dire. Don't waste your money. It is much better to pay a little more and receive good customer service when required.

The best I've ever had, including today is place an order and it's despatched the same day. I once placed an order and received it the next day.

They sell at 25% off GW prices unless it's a GW exclusive/direct order over which they have no control of the price.
Customer service is quick to respond.

There are a lot of resellers in the UK but these guys are currently unbeatable on stock and service.

Edit: Ordered something at 1pm yesterday, arrived at 10am today. 21 hours from order to getting the stuff. And I live far enough away that royal mail would be proud of that.

Addressing the negative reviews, I can understand that. If you are here looking to buy GW products ignore them. Buy and save money.

Great service by the folks at Dark Sphere, and fantastic prices. I now order all my hobby supplies and (probably too many) 40k minis from them.

Ignored me for a few days before making a refund.

Huge range of games with competitive prices (especially on GW). Shepherd's Bush store is an Aladdin's cave of games and a good venue for gaming. Only problem is their customer service, which can be a bit slow to respond, especially on online orders.

Most of my orders had been fine but I was overcharged for one. They eventually refunded the difference but it took over a month.

I used Dark Sphere to pre-order a copy of the latest Dungeons and Dragons book. The release date was postponed due to the pandemic, which is fine. But four days after the later release date, I had not received my book, nor heard any word from Dark Sphere about why the book hadn't arrived.

After 4 days of waiting, I emailed to find out what was going on, and to express my disappointment. I was informed (very quickly, to be fair) that there was a defect in the book, and to come into the shop and look at it. Thankfully, I'm not isolating or shielding! I wonder what would've happened if I hadn't emailed them first? Were they planning to hold onto my money and never send me the book? We'll never know. I went into the shop same day, collected a copy of the book (the defect was minor), and left. Delivery fee was also refunded same day.

The entire point of pre-ordering is to ensure you get the product on the launch date, and they hadn't even posted my copy of the book 4 days after launch! Which is just rubbish for a game shop. And no communication. What frustrated me most was the customer service. While a partial refund or similar would have been nice, I'd have settled for an apology. At no point did I receive so much as a "sorry" from from Dark Sphere, or even an acknowledgement that they'd messed up.

While it's been nice to have a big local game store, I will now be avoiding Dark Sphere, and advising my friends to do the same. If you don't mind being treated like another meaningless cog in the great machine of retail, by all means give them a try.

Absolutely disgusted with this company. After ordering a board game, Root, online, I heard nothing for a few days and there was no update on the stock page that my order had been despatched. In the meantime I had already purchased an expansion from another company. All of a sudden I then receive a full refund. No explanation. No apology. Do not order from this pathetic excuse of a company.

Dreadful customer service. Repeatedly promised item as going to be dispatched. Repeatedly failed to do so. It took over 72 hours to receive a reply. Given that I was promised twice an item would be dispatched instantly. I wouldn't bother!

Awful customer service. Went to find out about where my order was and they wanted even more money out of me! I was assured of lying from a prior phone call and then the manager hid until my 2nd phone call where I had to repetitively ask to speak to them as I was just having the odd bit passed along and wanted clarity on my situation so I could get my order. I've been buying from these people for years, lost over a mesley £3.80! I was willing to pay though they wanted me to keep making tickets which got me nowhere other than stating the fact they were back in stock.Gutted they treated me so poorly. No apologies and they were just rude and evasive, definitely avoid!

Ordered on the Sunday, despatched on Monday, arrived on Tuesday.

No fuss, great discounts, efficiently packaged, couldn't ask for more.

I have ordered from Dark Sphere several times and had generally good experiences. Prompt delivery and good prices are the main benefits. With customer service I have generally had good experiences, the few times I've had an out of stock issue they have contacted me directly with recommendation on a substitution.

I can imagine though that if you are dealing with an out of stock item that GW is taking a while to send out more of, these wait times could grow to be unacceptable.
