I have worked here for several months. Overall, the platform is simple and direct. The tasks vary in difficulty. My reason for not giving it 5 stars is job offers are often uncertain. I check the... See more

This is a serious company
This is a reputable company: you work and you get paid. As a freelancer, you can't use it as your primary source of income, since work varies considerably depending on the season and you could experience long periods without activity. The work is good and the pay is good too, so I recommend it as a supplement to your other freelance work.
I’ve had a consistently positive…
I’ve had a consistently positive experience with DataAnnotation. Payments are always on time, the projects are engaging, and the instructions are clear and detailed. My only reason for deducting one star is the very limited volume of work available in the languages I specialize in. Aside from that, all collaboration so far has been excellent.
Fair pay but taks not always available
DA gave a fair pay, and they give clear and detailed instructions on how to do the job. However, you can't expect there will always be tasks available to you, I have gone without any tasks for a month of so. So dont expect stability of income out of here.
I've been on this platform for a couple…
I've been on this platform for a couple of months, and the service has been great so far. Of course, like many AI related work, the work load will vary and sometimes there is nothing to work on for weeks. But, when work is assigned to you, you do get paid for the hours you put in. Zero payment delays, which I appreciate a lot. The downside, perhaps, is that you will be competing for a finite amount of tasks with your fellow workers. In other words, you'd want to start working on tasks as soon as they are assigned to you because they are most likely assigned to a bunch of people at the same time. The easier the task, the quicker they tend to disappear. So just be aware of that. All in all, I think Data Annotation is a reliable platform to find good paying AI work.
Great side income opportunity
If you have extra time or would like to work to make some extra money, this platform is the best option. The work very seldomly goes through droughts, meaning there is usually work to be done. It ranges widely based on project difficulty, but you are legitimately as free as you'd like to be in what you do and when. I have heard of people getting removed without communication which can be scary, but just dont use this to rely on the money and you're in a safe position. This is the perfect platform for a side hustle when you dont want to be your own boss!
Good for extra money, not as your main source of income.
Good platform if you want some tasks from time to time. Each task is very well explained and very decently paid.
Amount of tasks available is definitely not enough to earn a living with it, but it is very good as a side hustle.
Great flexible working hours and pay.

Flexible work culture and relevant payment
Flexible work culture and relevant payments
Good, honest and well-paid work.
The company is very straightforward on what it wants from you. It encourages good and honest work, and it pays really well for it. A bit more of transparency/feedback could be encouraged, but I also understand that this could lower efficiency. Great place to work!
Nerd it out
When there are projects, it's, to me, one of the most interesting and prolific work. Don't be afraid to be curious, slightly too nerdy and detailed-oriented. Actually, just nerd it out.
However good the pay is and the life-to-work balance, don't forget it's not a contract and don't put all of your eggs in their basket.
It's a good platform to work on
It's a good platform to work on, the projects mainly consist of following instructions, and the income is quite high. The only thing I don't like is the company's poor communication with its employees.
Opportunity to supplement income.
Working as a freelancer at DataAnnotation allows me to supplement my income. The payment processing time is short and the hourly rate is fair. The only problem is that tasks are only available for a short period.
I was very skeptical when reading these…
I was very skeptical when reading these reviews thinking i did not want to unknowingly be a victim of another scam but so far (appr. 45 days later) I am quite pleased with them actually delivering as expected. The first week or to there was some minor hiccups and communication could use some improvements but thats something I’m actually working on personally, overall, i was glad to do the task as an introvert.
UPDATE: Like right after I thought everything was going decent with this company and i wrote this review things immediately went bad right afterwards and all of a sudden I am not receiving any response as to what has happened despite contacting them over and over. The biggest issue is the poor communication but the sudden disappearance was very unprofessional as well.
Great Job with opportunities
Flexible schedule, good amount of accessable work and reliable payment. Opportunities to access higher payed projects.
Great Flexible Work
This experience has been great for a full time student who has a dynamic schedule and gets hours in when they are able to. They offer a consistent amount of projects that keeps the work engaging and enjoyable.
I have learned a lot from this platform…
I have learned a lot from this platform and knew how the Ai is trained.
Good experience with data annotation
Although this is a self-contract-job platform, they are really mindful of beginners ( who show some potential at least ) and are really supportive and helpful towards small mistakes and a good thing is that it is somewhat consistent if you have the suitable skills and the profit is really compensating for your time.
Strange Work Software
I applied to the company on a temporary basis as I have done this type of work before. The application process that I was sent was moderately long, and the company wanted this to be completed quickly, They were accommodating to unexpected delays during the application process though. I withdrew my application as I felt very uncomfortable with the type and amount of unfamiliar software that needed to be downloaded and executed across my devices in order to complete the work.
3 out of 5 stars because the application process was too long, and it did not feel 'quite right'.
EDIT: the company harvested much of my personal data before asking me to download these tools, and these were particularly difficult to get rid of. -1 star.
Great Platform, Difficult with consistency
Great Projects, easy to understand platform and straightforward payments. Nonetheless, very difficult to get consisten and reliable work.
