Joining Data Engineer Academy was a great decision for my professional growth. The courses are high quality, straight to the point, and truly designed to elevate real-world data engineering skills. DEA learning ressources are very rich. There are many hands-on exercises that allow to practice and build, not just learn theory.
I also had a great coach. Very supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely supportive.

Data engineer academy has been great so far. I recently finished their coursework which covers various data engineering topics. It prepares you for second part of the program which is applying for jobs and getting job offer.
I’m in job search process and in 3 weeks, the team applied to more than 100 jobs based on my preferences; and they are working on getting referrals as well as interview support.

Great for Career Switchers

I started DE Academy in December 2025. Without much experience in data engineering, so far my experience has been great. I've worked with a success coach who built a personalized and structured plan to help me learn the skills needed to be a data engineer and prepare for interviews. So far, my learning experience has been wonderful. I recently completed the SQL module provided by the academy and it was very thorough and helped me gain a firm grasp of SQL. I also completed a mock interview and was given valuable feedback on how I can improve and prepare for a real interview in the near future. Throughout the process, my success coach has been very helpful by providing me with additional learning resources and answering any questions I have. I'm feeling very confident about my ability to successfully complete the program and break into the field of data engineering.

I joined this program to strengthen my preparation for Data Engineering roles but wasn’t sure how to approach it in the right way. They evaluated my strengths and weaknesses and created a clear, step-by-step plan of tasks and activities to build my foundation.

The weekly mentor check-ins kept me accountable and consistent. The lessons and modules allowed me to learn at my own pace, and the live Q&A sessions helped me clear doubts quickly.

So far, the experience has been pretty good! I've had to make some modifications to my work schedule (my work was taking away too much of the time I could've been investing in DEA), but all the resources you need to succeed are available in DEA. If you're committed and willing to put the time in, I don't see how DEA can't assist you in attaining your goals. I'd recommend them to anyone serious about getting into the data science field whether as a data analyst, data engineer and beyond.

It's been 2months since I joined DEA and I had acquired knowledge on new technologies that are actually essential to crack interviews.
It's a one-stop shop if anyone wants to learn and get a new job.

I was out of the workforce for over a year and my Data Engineering skill were lagging. I was ETL only without use of modern tools. In the past year I have learned about the Medallion model, which is a little more than working with only Kimble/Inmon/Imhoff Data Warehouses and Data Marts.

I learned how to develop solutions with Snowflake, dbt, Databricks, and other cloud-based services.

I have also learned to use Python better. I know have a good grasp of Pandas, Streamlit, and Langchain. I have also been able to work with Apache Spark through the pyspark library.

The success coaches they link you to are very good at keeping you on point, The Coaches that perform the live training are very good and prepared. I try to never miss the classes I like.

I have a better understanding of what a modern Data Engineer is and the pipelines one builds.

I hope that this review was helpful. I recommend the gold package with the AI Classes, that is what I have chosen.
